Hank Croslin Jr Talks

Maybe the "enemies" RC wanted to keep close were Misty's FAMILY and not Misty herself?

Maybe because he didn't want to lose his job by taking off that night?!
My point wasn't about why Ron didn't take off, SS. ;) It was about why Tommy had no reason to see that night as being any safer than any other. And IMO, it was much less safe than others.

Just have to say that Hank, Jr. has a young family and has no reason to lie when he knows that LE has the phone records.

MOO

What's a family has to do with it? He had a family when he stole that gun from that old blind man. That he was at the mobile home later that night was new info to LE? Why did he sit on this info for almost 8 months.

If I had a call that asked if Misty was there(whatever the phone call was since we don't know if Ron even asked him to go over there at this point)I wouldn't have waited an hour to go and check(i think he was there later than 10)..I would have immmediately called LE and had them come find my family. He knew she didn't have a car and he wasn't concerned and just went merrily home. Nope, don't buy it.

On another note, something to keep in mind as we read and listen to statements is that, since according to Ron's lawyer, Ron called the Croslins' house phone and did not speak to Tommy directly, Ron, TN, and his lawyer, et al. can truthfully say that Ron didn't tell Tommy to check the MH.

I am respectfully asking why everyone (including Nancy Grace) refers the Haleigh's home as the "MOBILE HOME" or the "TRAILER". Even on this thread everyone is typing "MH" (including me). It just bothers me for some reason that I am typing that and I won't do it again. Why not say "Hank Jr. was in Haleighs home".

Why is it necessary to say mobile home especially on T.V. It is never a childs fault what kind of a structure they live in. Why say it? When other children are missing and do not live in a trailer or mobile home it seems no one says "the ranch style nice home" or the "beautiful brick home". They say "home",,, thats it. It is like the media wants everyone to know Ron and Misty lived in a mobile home instead of an expensive house. Just bothers me....had my child gone missing I would resent people saying repeatedly that I lived in a trailer like it was not worthy of calling a home. It is not necessary to make that distinction in my opinion.

Sorry for the rant... I lived in a trailer once.

“In the interview, Hank tells us something very interesting. Which is that Ronald had attempted, the night of the ninth, the evening before Haleigh went missing, that Ronald had made several calls to Misty that went unanswered. So Ronald ultimately calls her brother Hank, better known as Tommy, asking Tommy to go down the street to the residence to see if he can make contact with Misty. Hank says he does, around 9:45 or 10 o’clock, go down the street and he says when he gets there the lights are off in the trailer, he says it’s dark, and quite,” said Major Bowling.

Bowling went on to say that Hank Jr. showed him how hard he banged on the door, and told them he stayed in the area for awhile waiting for Misty to either answer the door or come home. Hank Jr. says after some time passed, he gave up and assumed she wasn’t home.

“We believe that releasing some of the information we’ve found out advances the investigation. And particularly the way that we think this will advance it is that Misty’s family now knows about this information that I’m telling you now about Hank. We hope that the family or maybe Misty by her own conscience, if there is a discrepancy, that if she was indeed not home or she wants to explain why Hank banged on the door, with no response we want to hear Misty’s side of that,” said Major Bowling.

Major Bowling went on to say that on the Saturday following the interview with Hank Jr., Misty voluntarily came into the Sheriff’s Office for questioning. But, he says she did not talk discuss Hank Jr.’s interview.

“Misty is the type that if you ask her a question that she doesn’t want to answer, she reminds us she has a lawyer,” said Bowling.

Action News spoke with Misty’s lawyer on Tuesday. Robert Fields tells us Misty is out of town and will be for the next few days. He says Misty is sticking to her story that she was home the night Haleigh disappeared. He also says he believes the story Hank Jr. is telling deputies is not true. Fields says as soon as the Sheriff’s Office contacts him to do a formal interview with Misty, he will be glad to consider it.

I have to agree with Fields on this one. Tommy's story is not true after the part he says he came to the mh, imo. He also says he stayed in the area for some time afterward which covers why his truck would be seen during that period of time. I say he is definitely covering his tracks and putting it back on Misty since LE already believes she is the one telling lies.

If you believe her side of the story.

Using the neighbor's phone at 4AM to call relatives? Yeah, I believe that one. Who is calling relatives at 4AM?

Kind of interesting that she and hubby fled the state the day before detectives came knocking on their door to interview them. Who leaves the state - and their grandchildren - with their son locked up?

Perhaps they did none other than throw Tommy under the bus to save their own butts?

If you are talking about stealing the gun, the man said Tommy and Lisa were there and that Tommy went into the bedroom where the gun was, so I don't know what butt covering they would be doing.

From the same article you snipped that from:
“What she’s told us is a farce…and the idea that she was doing what she says she was doing and how she was doing it is just not believable…it’s totally unbelievable in fact,” said Major Gary Bowling of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

So just so I'm clear... we are to take the word of this common THIEF that he was there... but not that Misty was not...... :waitasec:

:parrot:
LOL, well then he's dumb as a rock if he lied to LE about him being there at that time of night.

Snip. I wonder how long he stayed.

Maybe he helped Misty hide Haleigh and they were originally in cahoots about it, agreeing to stay quiet about him being there. Then something happened to sour the relationship and accusations galore, each thinking they could stick it on the other.

I don't question that LE believes she has lied to them. I am just not positive she lied about being home or other things they claim.
I can't be positive either, without knowing things we aren't privy to.

If it turns out that she's been railroaded, I'll be angry too. My problem is that I can't see a reason to believe Misty over LE*, Tim Miller, the 3-4 polys, the LVA, and my own recognition of ...oddities in her story and behavior.
*(which has been comprised of several agencies, from local to state, to FBI, and remained consistent in their opinions of her)

If there is a good reason to believe her over all of them, I really wish someone would tell me... :waitasec:

That would not surprise me at all.

I just don't think everything she has said is a lie like they claim. With Tommy, same thing...he probably is telling the truth saying he was there that night, but it doesn't mean he did not take Haleigh or lied about what happened after he arrived.

Do you mean she lied about something else that LE doesn't claim or that she didn't lie at all?

I hope you're not right because LE has been pretty adamant that her story doesn't match the available evidence. There are quite a lot of them involved in the case, and I have a hard time believing that all of them are dumb as rock. However, if she was telling the truth she's the victim of either gross LE incompetency and none of them knows their nose from their backside or a huge LE conspiracy to frame her as a liar.

Most liars come up with some nuggets of truth or half-truth somewhere in the middle because it's cognitively very challenging to keep up with a completely fabricated story and there is less evidence to the contrary if you try to keep it as close to the truth as possible.

something in the article that popped out at me...

Major Bowling also talked about Misty’s cell phone. Action News asked him if he could use GPS technology to track down exactly where Misty was the night Haleigh disappeared. Major Bowling wouldn’t go into details, but says they are investigating those facts.

Hello, they physically had her and Ron's phone and phone records since the beginning. They are just now investigating those facts??

Why did they not talk to Tommy about all this back in Feb if they had those records and knew about all those calls??

This whole thing is mind boggling to say the least

It's certainly very worrying if they're finding out about the phone records only now, seven months later. I hope and trust it's not the case and "we're investigating" just means that they're still asking more questions about those phonecalls they knew about long ago. When was it that Ron's pings at PDM were first mentioned? It's been a while. Was it confirmed that Misty was worried that her phone was bugged after LE had had it, early on, or was it just a rumor?

I believe LE knew about Ron and Misty's phonecalls right away and asked questions about them and would have found out Tommy in the list. No telling if the people told the truth about the contents of their phone calls though.

ETA. Read again and realized that you were talking about Misty's GPS. I believe he meant that they're still considering the findings they got long ago because it seems SOP to check that sort of thing. It might very well be that the phone evidence is one reason they feel Misty is not being truthful

Not just at ANY point. He has now moved himself up in the timeline to be at the mh around or nearest to the time Haleigh went missing. She was not missing when GGS left at 7:30pm, imo.

Ronald did not make sure he was not there. He simply went to work and now we know they have at least 20 calls on his record to show he was definitely at work according to Gary Bowling. I would have to assume his boss told him he was going to work late and he didn't just stay for the heck of it.

1) BBM We only have GGM's word, that she finally came out with 7-10 days later. She has yet to say what concern would prompt Tn and her to go there.

2) As far as Ronald Cummings...my point was, he did not evidence behavior of a Dad who cannot locate his children or his teenage sitter. Working late and the beer/gig/nut run is evidence of "lack" of concern as to the whereabouts of his children and Misty. Did he know something no one else does?

Rest assured, they've been all over this for much longer and more detail than they will give to the press. They will not blow an investigation by telling the world every card they have. And remember, everyone's lawyered up...
