I listened to this the other day when you posted it and I saw my daughter in the kitchen moving to the rhythm. I loved it. I wanted to listen to it again later on at night. I was trying to chill from the hectic day. This song and these guys speak to me. Wow. While listening, I was thinking that this is a perfect song for the hearing impaired. Just watching their faces display their emotions and their fingers strum even without the sound, you can hear and feel the music. ❤️ it. Thanks for turning me onto them. I’d not heard them before. Thank you so much. They’re on my go to list now.

I was turned on to Billy Strings in that video From Tyler Childers
covering Charlie Daniels Band - Trudy. I posted here some where.
Tyler Childers is who I am seriously into right now. Well him and Angelina Jordan.

I was turned on to Marcus King by this video we are discussing here.
Its nice to have time to explore all the music we can stand.
Stay safe sista.

I don't know what other states might do about Easter Sunday religious services, but the Archdiocese of Detroit has cancelled all Holy Week liturgies. Given our state-wide stay-at-home order, I think most churches will not be offering Easter services for their congregants. In lieu of church services, here is a list of the religious-themed movies that will be featured on Easter (April 12) on commercial-free Turner Classic Movies (TCM):

7:30 AM
Barabbas ( 1962)
A thief is pardoned so Jesus can be crucified in his place.

12:00 PM
Ben-Hur ( 1959)
While seeking revenge, a rebellious Israelite prince crosses paths with Jesus Christ.

4:00 PM
Greatest Story Ever Told, The ( 1965)
All-star epic retelling of Christ's life.

10:00 PM
King of Kings ( 1961)
Epic retelling of Christ's life and the effects of his teachings on those around him.

Video of our Easter service, prepared by the elected leaders of the Presbyterian Church in the USA.

Our congregation will have a virtual Maundy Thurdsay service tomorrow evening.

My brother is a Baptist minister and he's having a "drive-in" service. Those who wish to attend can drive to the church, watch the service from their car on a large projection screen, and tune-in via their car radio.

Ya know, like a drive-in movie? I think it's such a cool idea!

(He also live streams every service on the church's Facebook page.)

You made me giggle. Thanks. I think that’s gonna be true for lots of folks. I know my daughter is forcing herself to do extra exercises and working out in the yards to sweat out stress, frustration and pounds. She’s a great cook and with her focus now on cooking instead of working. Well...you know how that goes.

I canceled my housecleaning service on March 25 and said that I would let them know when I'd want them to resume bimonthly cleaning. They would have come yesterday, but I emailed the office and said that I was canceling until further notice. One of the owners responded to my email and another called yesterday to make sure that DH and I were alright.

Sometime between March 23 and last week, Merry Maids services were suspended until our Governor says it's alright to resume business. Originally, housekeeping services were considered "essential" and were not ordered to cease operation. Seems there were so many cancellations, not to mention the health and safety of the cleaning crews, that Merry Maids furloughed their employees.

Michigan Governor Whitmer will announce later today that she is extending the stay-at-home order which expires next Tuesday. I'm sure it will be at least until the end of April like the White House "30 days to slow the spread" guidelines, but it could be longer due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Michigan.

So funny, I looked at our blank calendar last night. Still on March. This calendar is so central to our life, we review it every Sunday night. To see medical appointments, social engagements, travel plans.

March is blank, April is blank. Why even bother with a calendar? Just mark another day at home.

I've started calling them "The Lost Months".

One day at a time remains our motto. How’s Willie doing? How are you holding up? Be sure and take care of you too. It’s just crazy isn’t it? I wake up and can’t go back to sleep. I feel like I’m with Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future. I’m waiting for the DeLorean to show up.

Willie is doing okay. I take him out for a drive every day. Just to get out of the house. He used to love going to Costco, riding around the store in the cart, getting snacks, flirting with the gals. A Costco trip used to take two hours or so. He loved it.

Now, he can't even do that. He is now cooking more. Which is good, he can cook a few things.

No ponytail yet.

We’ve been cooking from scratch - last night the kid made turkey gumbo - really proud of that as the roux is tough to get right !

NATURAL DYE COLORS
Here are some different dye ingredients that we tested out and seem to work best:

Two teaspoons ground tumeric to turn eggs yellow.

One cup shredded beets to turn eggs pink. (Shred on a box grater.)

One cup chopped purple or red cabbage to turn eggs blue.

One cup blueberries to turn eggs blue.

One cup red onion skins to turn eggs red or purple.

One bag of black tea to turn eggs brown.

One cup of chopped yellow onion skins to turn eggs orange.
Easter symbols, dyeing eggs naturally, hot cross buns!

Lol- that’s awesome! When this first broke loose & movie theaters were shut down while controversy over church services was heating up, I told my fam we need to open up all the old drive-ins & hold everything there. And why wait for a pandemic?! That’s a super fun idea.

Deep breathing exercises. Especially if you're not feeling well, part of a high risk group, or home schooling (involve the kids if they are rowdy, it doesn't hurt for them to learn how)

I slept all day yesterday. We had ham. I am not sure what has made me so exhausted. I feel like I am in slow motion at work too.

Like, we are waiting for, what? Everyone to get sick here? Or everyone go back to work and school so that we can all get sick then?
