So, LE is holding back vital evidence so that when the case comes to trial, that evidence will be inadmissable due to Failure to disclose in court ordered discovery?

It's quite a complicated game of mental chess they are playing then?

You misunderstood I did not mean SA are holding it forever. They dont have to hand over all evidence to the defence immediately. Of course they are holding back lots of things they dont want the public or the defence to know yet. They do have to hand it over but if they say it is still part of the ongoing investigation they have lots of time yet to give it over to the defence. This is done all the time. Im sure the defence has things it holding onto until they have to hand it over too. It is part of the game they play.

There are lots of things the SA has taken into evidence that we have seen absolutely no mention of yet. We will eventually but only when they want to or when they finally have to disclose it to the defence.

That's part of what makes sleuthing so difficult, the doc dumps gives us lots of info but even more questions about why or what they havent included in the dumps.

The pink gel sticker does look similar to the cell phone stickers, but it was found on a piece of cardboard- not duct tape. I had thought it was degraded duct tape too till I read the description and took a closer look.

Hercule- I have decided that I want the red sticker to have been found at the scene and not yet included in discovery because then we have something closer to conclusive....but when I consider what is most likely, it would be that the red sticker was destroyed in the water.
The other possibility is that since its shiny, and certain species of birds like to collect shiny things for their nests, it could have been removed from the scene by a bird.

There was a notation in the docs re: no bird nests visible in trees, but it could have been transported to another local wooded area.

Right! We need search warrants for every birds nest in the area... LOL. I can see the headlines now..."tot mom killer has feathered friend accomplice".:chicken:
OK sound like I am winning you over.
But wanting evidence to exist does not make it so.

I want KC's prints to be all over the skull duct tape. That is not evidence yet. At least there is still an outside chance that will be discovered and released. I think there is no chance there is a found sticker being withheld.

I think in this case with heart sticker being a central part of the warrant application and the evidence that was disclosed, LE could NOT withold THE vital found sticker. They must be showing us the one they were describing to the Judge to get a warrant! He is going to be "not well pleased" if they now hide that sticker and just show any old sticker they found down the road.

You surprise me. A 3/4" sticker would take up a large chunk of the cell phone I am looking at.

Can you find a picture of these giant cell phone stickers?

Why do people put such huge decorations on their cell phones?

I don't claim to understand it. I'm a 35 year old woman and I can't even find my cell phone when I need it, never mind decorate it! But here I am, looking at pictures of "giant" cell phone stickers:

And especially this last one:

I have never owned a cell phone. Luckily my wife has two.

I still do not think they are large enough, based on where I get any clues from phone size etc.

Anyway, it does not look like LE found any. If they did I am sure they would have grabbed them as well as "Art" stickers

Wow that pic of the two stickers side by side is great! I believe it is the exact same sticker.

I am new to posting, so forgive me for this question, but I am trying to find a thread discussing all of the crime scene photos that are posted on the my fox orlando website. And furthermore, why are they the only ones that have posted all of these pictures? I find the format very hard to view.....

Anyway this is the only thread that I saw that was relevant, so thats why I am asking. But on topic, that heart shaped sticker appears to be an exact match to me. imo of course

P.S. I LOVE WEBSLEUTHS!

Welcome.

Don't know why Fox Orlando are the only source of all pics but thank heavens they are somewhere. What news outlets think is important is a very severe limit! I'd rather see the lot and decide for myself.
There is a Crime Scene photo thread here but too general and things tend to split off into more specific threads.
From memory there are threads discussing photos of:
Laundry bag
Plastic Bags
duct tape
heart sticker
etc?

Well spotted.

My eyes and/or computer not up to seeing it.

I hope someone else can

Hey, what does it say on the label on the side of that box??

Looks like "Caylee's ......"

Anyone???

I believe it says "Caylee's Things" and the "things" were used to create her own scrapbook items. Or would have been.

Thanks. I have to take your word on the wording! All I get from peering is pixels.

I can't agree that it was Caylee's scrap booking things though!
Looks like a saved letter in envelope (Guess: Birthday card). Not an item to chop up for scrap booking.

When you read the FBI reports you need to remember that they are very, very specific in the way that they answer.

"The Q62 - Q64 pieces of tape were examined for the presence of any stickers. No stickers or sticker fragments were observed on these items."

Notice they say nothing of adhesive residue. Just "no stickers or sticker fragments"

These are worded so very specifically for a reason. To infer anything other than what is written is pure speculation.

I did notice the way it was worded and thought there must be a reason. I was more or less wondering if JB was using this particular report to make the claim that nothing was found on the duct tape. I'm a little behind in the discussion here. Thanks for the clarification :)

Ok so, being that I am new, if there is not a specific thread started to discuss ALL of the photos at once, then would it be ok for me to start one? I'm really curious what the great people of websleuths have to offer when it comes to that. It is so hard for me to see on my little laptop screen with the way myfoxorlando has it.

As for the sticker thing, does anyone know if this sticker can only be purchased online? Do they sell them everywhere?
If they are only sold online, that could be a very good thing if Casey and company are the only ones that have ever bought the stickers among all the players in the case........

And with that, doesnt it show some connection, even if they never find the origin of the sticker, that there were so many varieties of stickers in her house? I mean who else of all the players has so many friggin heart stickers?? If anything, that is a connection in itself.
IMO

Thanks for the welcome! I just found out that I have to post more in order to access certain places, so I am starting today

As I see it, the best hope for LE now is to match the RESIDUE of sticker adhesive found on the duct tape with something found in the A home. The most likely match in my view is the single used sticker backing found in the box of "Caylee's Things"

A. DELAY DEFENSE DISCOVERY:
In most trials, discovery is a legal, mutual, obligation. Prosecutors must give the defense the documents and other evidence related to the charges against the defendant, and the defense attorney must give the prosecutor documents and evidence, though to a lesser degree, related to the defense of those charges. Prosecutors with high conviction records routinely delay delivery of discovery to the defense as long as possible since no defense attorney will schedule a trial until the full scope of the evidence against the defendant is fully assessed. Defense attorneys must be exceptionally tenacious to get discovery from the prosecution and, often, a court order is required. The judges admonish prosecutors to abide by the law but rarely censure or punish them for not obeying it.

The same box is also pictured in the closet closed and in blowing that up I can see the writing.. It seems to say Caylee Marie..
The label we can see on the box with the letter and sticker is NOT the same label on the box in the closet?

JB was on GR last night and said (I'm paraphrasing) There was no heart shaped residue on the duct tape. No evidence has been released that there was. The heart shaped sticker was found a long way from body in a school yard dump ground. I don't believe any of his spin, but can anyone refer me to evidence refuting this?
Nobody needs to. JB can't point to any evidence supporting it.

Take note... His lips moved.

What a coincidence that a small heart shaped sticker was found at the scene... stuck to something else. But we don't know how close to the remains the sticker was found, do we? We've also not been told the size of the residue on the tape. It could have been a tiny heart, for all we know.
(bold above by me)

Yes. We do know.

I don't think the sticker backing that was cut out of the sheet has anything to do with the sticker found at the scene. It's not the same type of sticker. I'm sure the CSI tech's were instructed to photograph everything with a heart on it.

You'll notice the envelope was in a box as seen here:

208779.jpg

And the box was stored here:

208767.jpg

I have seen no documentation linking the cut out sticker sheet and the sticker found at the scene. There are numerous other pictures of heart sticker sheets taken at the house that same day so I don't know why everyone is zeroing in on this one cut out heart.
I do not think these show same box.

I am red/green colour blind, but I can see a colour difference!
