I can't keep track of what's been posted and what hasn't, so here is a story on the $20 bill as well as what other prescription drugs were found:

That's an update; says the tests didn't show anything on the $20.00.

It says 3 of the drugs were prescribed in Europe.

I read in one of the many articles I've scanned, that there will be NO MEMORIAL service, not here nor in Australia. They could just be saying that to keep people away.

I'll bet it turns out to be a lethal mix of over the counter, perscription and/or illegal drugs.

Again, it really doesn't matter what caused his death, it's still very sad!

What I read was that the massage therapist called Mary Kate's bodyguard because she knew him well and knew he knew CPR - medical stuff that could help. I think that's the real story, as best I can tell, and how Mary Kate got bought into it.

I'm seriously doubting that any partying way going on. He had been dead for some time, it seems, when found. He was obviously physically sick. Maybe I am wrong, but I don;t think this was the end result of what I would think of as a bender.

I too have heard that he had a substance abuse problem - but also that he had been clean for a year. Don't know if that later part is true but as of now they are saying that the drugs in the room were prescribed - no illicit stuff found as far as we know.

i've been in such a funk since i heard about this, this morning.....i soooo liked him...if he had been drinking while taking xanax or valium or ambien, enough of that could surely have killed him....just so sad...

& thanks for clearing up the Mary Kate story for me...

It's broken my heart too. By all accounts, he was a very nice person, though - of course - not without his demons. And he was just so talented and young.

You are right that those drugs and alcohol could kill a person quick. I am trying to just wait until the toxicology reports come pack. I absolutely don't think it was a suicide, but I realize it could have been an accidental overdose.

Yes - I can't think of them off the top of my head, but I know his group has shown up at several funerals - tragic things that have no connection to homosexuality - with signs that say "God allows this to happen because we harbor gays" - stuff like that. I try not to follow him or even post about him because I don't want to give his message PR - but I couldn't help myself from jumping in to say I know he goes wherever he can get attention for his venom - not just to "gay" things, though he hits those up to.

A member of this group was on a talkback radio show here this morning and what a piece of work she was......for the things she said about Heath and his family she should herself have a nice cosy spot in hell...she also said that she would not step foot in out filthy country as we are homosexual fornicators .......someone needs to shut that women up.

I really really enjoyed watching Heath in his earlier movies. He was a goodlooking man with an air of innocense about him. I loved his movie Dark Knight. I'm sad he was all alone and sick, that brings tears.

No one should be alone when sick. Ambien I believe has killed many many people. Ambien is a killer people. It needs to be taken off the market, and be investigated.

She called MKO because she knew they were friends and her number was programmed into his phone. MKO told her she'd send over her private security guards. The masseuse then realized Heath might be dead so called MKO again and then 911.

I think the danger comes when you mix things with it, even alcohol; not saying he did that, but have known someone who went to the hospital for an overdose by "mixing".

The way he said his mind was racing and he had to take "one, then two", and only slept an hour - signals untreated "mania" to me, and maybe the depression also.

PEople keep medicating when they have depression; don't realize that just begets more, and worse depression.

Sounds like he may have been having troubles since his divorce from his wife and not seeing his child as much.

I agree.....I have taken ambien on and off for years and haven't had any problems. It isn't as effective as it once was, but I would never increase my dose.

On "Fox & Friends" this morning they showed a clip of Jack Nicholson when he was told of Heath's death. He was mad and said he had "warned him". I'm guessing maybe Heath asked him for pointers on how to play the Joker and how intense of an experience it would be to portray this character.

I think the main cause is pneumonia combined with pills.
Benzodiazepines such as Xanax and Valium are prescribed for anxiety and also in cases of bi-polar disorder without psychotic features. Combined with Ambien, they are not fatal (aside for maybe large amounts).
The fact that this young man had pneumonia, and he probably wanted to sleep and took the pills, not realizing it would depress his respiratory system to the point of death. Depending on how bad his pneumonia was, even a double dose of what he normally took could have caused respiratory failure. Drugs work different for different individuals, and with pneumonia factored in, is never a good combination.
