Ouch. I struggle with this to "what if he is innocent.." but everything comes back to SC every time.

So many things point to him and nothing points to anyone else.

I totally agree! The first time I went to the Big Island, we stayed in Kona. But I fell in love with Hilo - and the East side of Hawai`i Island. So beautiful and green! If you only stay on the west sides of the islands, you're missing out on the true beauty of Hawai`i, IMHO.

I agree. I don't like the Kona side.....too much money and too little soul. I feel the Aloha spirit on the east-side.

Awww.. go up Mauka (mountainside), we get plenty rain and plenty aloha. ;)

I do like Makua, if I understand the word correctly. Spent a lot of time in Kokee and Makawao.....loved both places. Or does Makua refer to western
mountainside? :hills:
I have lived in Mendocino, Ca. since I left Kauai.

I'm not buying Steven's public plea for housing. He has 234 friends that he can privately ask, why would he announce it to Crabapple, WS, and the rest of the world? He craves the attention, that's all.

I say leave him alone. He'll slip up soon enough.

He has 234 Facebook friends, which doesn't really mean much. And he probably doesn't want to live with whomever "helped" him.
I do agree he loves all the attention, though.

My point is, is it really that serious to make a public plea? No it's not. Everyone on Maui loves him, right? If any of his 234 "friends" were really his allies, he wouldn't need to make that post public. He's young, he's ridiculous, he knows.

Yes, I definitely agree with you. I think that SC posted to his own FB page and then CJ and a WS reposted it, though. :moo:
I just read Brooke's statement (on either the Study page or the Find page in comments) that SC detailed his truck on Feb 10! Telltale. Did MPD ever impound his truck? He couldn't have earned smarts from his parents if it's true his mom died of a drug overdose and his dad is/was in prison. It's just a matter of time. MOO

And every time he looks at his friends list half of the profile photos are of the person w/Charli

On the Study FB page, Brooke Scott claims that SC was trying to get Charli to "go out there for weeks before."

I hope there are some saved text messages to back up that claim. This could be very important evidence.

MauiWatch is saying rumor has it that a body has been found in the Twin Falls area. That's all I know. Cannot vouch for accuracy.

RUMORWatch: The Command Center has been flooded with emails and calls this morning about a body that was reportedly found by two hunters in the Twin Falls area yesterday.
We reached out to MPD for comment and are currently awaiting their response.

Kona is on the Big Island.

Sorry I shouldn't have capitalized the word. Up 'mauka' means the mountainside, or to go up the mountain. 'Makai' means oceanside. I live 'up mauka' from Kailua-Kona, about 5 miles up a long windy road. It is cool and subtropical here. You guys were mentioning that the Western sides of the islands aren't all that great, but a lot of people only see Kailua-Kona (only 39 sq miles) and think it's Kona but it's not. The Kona district extends from South Kona where Ocean View starts all the way to North Kona close to Waikoloa. The total sq miles of the island is approx 4,000 and Kona takes up almost 1/2. Our side is so much more than the little shopping village called Kailua that is way overpriced and so expensive to live in. We still have to shop there. There are so many really beautiful spots up mauka, like Honaunau, Kaloko, Kealakekua Bay, City of Refuge. <3

JUST IN FROM MPD: Per Lt. William Juan of the Maui Police Department, on 3/27/14, during the late evening hours, a local hunter was hunting in the area of Twin Falls, Haiku, Maui. The hunter came across an abandoned camp site and upon checking, he located skeletal remains that he believed to be that of a human being. The hunter left the area and notified police.

Police responded, and with the assistance of the hunter, the camp site was located. The human remains was discovered, however, police were unable to determine age or gender of the victim due to the deteriorated state. Cause of death is pending further investigation.

MPD has classified this case as an unattended death.

We will keep you updated on this story as more details become available.

What does "unattended death" mean? Suicide?

Yes, I was being typically too general. I have been in the areas you mention and It is beautiful and a welcome respite from the Kailua sterility. I could see living there up makua. Thank you for reminding me. :seeya:

Chills... Thoughts go out to all families that have a missing love one. And prayers for who ever it is the family can find some closure.

What does "unattended death" mean? Suicide?

It means they died alone without any witnesses available to report on the manner of death. Witness could mean physician, not necessarily witness in the sense of crime.
Grandpa died alone at home would be an unattended death.

The fact that they are calling it "a campsite" where the body was found, makes me think it's a poor soul who just passed while living off the grid or something. Doesn't sound like a dumped body, IMO. Sorry for the harsh words...can not think of another way to describe what I'm getting at.
Also, I hope LE makes some good progress on this case because, IMO, after SC's probation is up in July (?), he will be looooooonnnggg gone.

:blowkiss:No problem. :loveyou: A friend and I were talking today and I realized I've lived in almost every town in Kona, lol. I just love it and when I was away from Hawaii I missed it so much. My least favorite place is Kailua because it is so crowded these days. Wasn't always that way.
