Sorry it's been so long, but they identified her jawbone by dental records. So it would be mighty hard to do dental records on just fragment. I think that it was her entire jaw bone

You may well be right. I just remember reading about finding a tooth and bone. If it was a piece of the jaw with the tooth still attached dental records might then work.

Whether he painted it, cropped photos into it or had nothing to do with it, I believe the painting has significance. I do not believe in coincidences.

Well, SC definitely posted the skull painting so it does have significance.

He posted the skull pic 06-13-2014.
He posted pic with a puppy and Mitsubishi Eclipse for sale pic 6-15-2014.
He was arrested morning -6-16-2014.

Sound like he made the threats -6-15-2014
Her family have gone quiet since he pleaded not guilty month later. Don't know they knew about jaw until it was in AP news. They got him where they want him and maybe confident in evidence they know about.

When was MM arrested? 6/12?

Does any WSer know if the bone found was the entire jawbone or a fragment?

I intended on the post above to say that he was suspected/ arrested for murder, but seem to have omitted the qualifiers, calling him the murderer. I do think there is a shred of doubt. Very, very slim shred. Spiderweb.

Been reviewing the timeline and some of the details...wondering whether that belt buckle knife he had might possibly match up with the cuts on the bra that was found with the other stuff. Awful to imagine the scene.

You are all great, by the way. Just saying.

When you guys were first talking about the pictures in the painting I brushed it off because I didn't think Steven would be talented enough for this painting. I flipped through again and someone pointed out the dog and I thought wait.a.minute. I see that too. I see a guy at the bottom. I see the guy in a mask....I need to look at this again!

I hope you picture sleuthing guys come back in here to check this out! I started messing around with the contrast and lighting and everything just popped out once some of the shading and highlighting is taken away.

The painting was done in layers. So first the skull and the main figures that the painter wants to soften up are laid down first and eventually, using color and brush stroke patterns those pictures blend into the background enough that they turn into another picture.

If he didn't have the skills himself, he could have a friend that does or he could hire someone else to paint it but the person would tell the artist what key pictures to embed within the skull flames painting.

I've outlined the shapes for:

1. Lower Left - A red haired woman on the left side facing dark haired man who is facing her. Could be something in his right hand.
2. Center Left - Dog running - stripe goes from behind head to end of tail.
3. Middle - Dark haired person with bandana over nose and covering the rest of their face.
4. Right Center - Shape of baby laying on a blanket with halo over his head.

Yes, I do think this painting is deliberate now. I don't know who painted it but LE should definitely find out who did because that person probably knows who killed Charli!

It is best if you open the picture up into a program that you can zoom the pic. You can see things much better.

Here is the dog. Yes it's better to open the original picture and zoom.

I can see the face. That's a really fat dog. It reminds me of a mouse or a rat. Some kind of rodent.

ETA: But I don't mean to doubt you of course, you could be right. The ones I marked on my attempt were just the things that stood out to me. I'm not trying to contradict, just give another perspective. :peace:

BBM: Or they found some DNA on it. You do have to wonder...

With all due respect, I think a lot of the images people are seeing may simply be due to a phenomenon called pareidolia (aka "matrixing") where the human brain picks out familiar shapes & images from a random place, like clouds or rock formation ("Pareidolia...is a psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus (often an image or sound) being perceived as significant, a form of apophenia. Common examples include seeing images of animals or faces in clouds, the man in the moon or the Moon rabbit... -from Wikipedia).

Especially if the painting was done using water colors, as someone mentioned, the colors bleed & saturate in strange ways and it would be impossible to get the precision needed to make some of these tiny hidden images people are honing in on & identifying.

With that said, that sure does look like a perfectly formed nipple up on the side of the cranium...

Don't worry. I think we all only take ourselves semi-seriously with the picture scrying. At least I do...;)

I totally agree with the picture in the clouds theory. Which is why I totally blew it off and didn't even pay attention when it was first brought up.

Even if they are completely coincidental and are an unintentional optical illusion - the images that can clearly be seen of a fairly detailed sleeping baby with a halo and a red haired woman facing a dark haired man are chilling when compared to the details of this homicide.

It is at least a little odd.

Fairly certain SC painted it. Guessing it was after he went before the grand jury to hear the case before the indictment. He knew what they had on him. MOO

I am new to the Forum, however; I looked into the accounts he is following on Instagram after viewing the painting of the skull. I noticed there are several tattoo accounts he is following which makes me wonder if he had the painting done by a tattoo artist. That painting does not appear to be a random thought. If the painting depicts a specific event or a series of representations, the artist would have had to speak with SC to obtain very detailed information. If it has not been done already, I would think interviewing tattoo shops in the area or known shops he had work done at would be beneficial.

Funny you should mention this. I saw in this painting what looked to me like the peninsula where the items were found but I thought I was just imagining things in some random picture. It's nice to know I wasn't the only one.

:blushing: me, three... when I first looked at the picture, it looked like an island (in blue) in the background, so I had to look up and "see" what shape Maui was... that was BEFORE I read heartgoesout's sister's interpretation!

back to :lurk: mode

edited to add - just saw that "this" discussion was back about a week ago... sorry to bring it up again! Was busy on the Malaysia jet shoot down, and Jennifer Huston case!! :seeya:

That's a great idea, Stetson. With all of its potential hidden meaning, tracking down the artist seems rather paramount. It looks like a tattoo, certainly.
