Before signing out,
I checked the oh so clunky maddening Judiciary site and the motion and trial are still calendared for tomorrow. Hope they make some progress and don't continue it again, but won't hold my breath.

Also, these are the earliest media articles I can find on the case, the earliest being from just before 5 PM on Tuesday, 2/11. They are already contaminated by info from Steven, but there are some interesting comments in them. Please let me know if you find anything earlier. These are TV news, HNN and KHON (Fox local station).

http://khon2.com/2014/02/11/pregnant-woman-goes-missing-on-maui/

http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/24698689/maui-police-search-for-missing-pregnant-woman

BS gives her awake 20 hours estimate in the KHON story. The article says Charli was almost six months pregnant, something we debated a while back. Brooke Scott is the only one quoted in the article, so I would guess she was the source of the info. It is interesting how the news repeats details that were from Steven as if they are facts. This is how stories get distorted. At that point they were not challenging his version publicly.

It is interesting that Brooke has the truck "in a ditch" version at that point. Nothing about a failed alternator, the "alternate" version Peter Tosh discussed with SC. How bad a lie is it when you can't decide if you went in a ditch or your engine died on you.

I'm beat now from finding stuff, if I don't reply to replies it's because I have very long busy days from now through Sunday. I might have some time or I might not.
RDS, here is what KS wrote:

"I saw the place you know.
On Your birthday they showed us where they found what he carelessly left us of You.
Brooke and i clawed out earth that had been soaked with your blood. We will always keep it. I wish I could tear it all out- leave a big black hole where You and Your son bled."

So yes, she says it is the place the evidence was found. But she also seems to think the earth had been soaked, and that this is the place where they bled, mother and child. Is that a fact she was given or is it imagining? I don't know. What do you think?
In any case she does not seem to be thinking that Charli and Joshua died somewhere else. She would know as much as anyone what had been found, outside of the police.

It's not definitive, but it made me rethink my original idea of Haiku, and also BS originally thought Haiku as well, BUT recently she has been mentioning Charli was a kidnapping victim and held against her will in the car, which also goes against the idea of her coming to the Haiku house and meeting an end there.

I don't have a firm idea, but when I hear a theory I think of all the facts that need to fit ... and so far it is hard to find a perfect scenario.

Thank you (and KS) for this. I had not read that the earth had been soaked with her blood. That would lead me to believe that she may have left Haiku alive. JMHO, though, I still think he sedated her. She was already exhausted. An Ambien or two in her tea would have been enough.

I originally thought Ms. Kimberlyn's post about the earth being soaked in blood was a metaphor of sorts since she is such a beautiful poet. Since a good amount of time had passed when LE took the family to that area, I don't think there would have been that much blood evidence left. But... they now were hearing evidence of what SC did. Ms. Kim's words ring true of what did happen there, metaphor or not. I now believe that beautiful Charli was in fact killed, or at minimum attacked in her vehicle most likely at SC residence and then taken to the area Ms. Kim describes as being blood soaked. Whether CS was still alive at this point is unanswered. The evidence suggests that it was this area where he did God knows what that caused all of the blood and the jaw and tooth to be found later.
I don't know Charli or her family. But I teared up typing this. I feel bad discussing such difficult topics. I don't want her family to be hurt if they read on here. I hope her family knows we are on here because we care. I have been there with a murder in my family and I want SC to be punished for his crime. All my love to her family.

Hanzawa's Variety Store which has the only gas without going up to Makawao (15 minutes each way from Hanzawa's) closes at 8:00PM.

I assume they have Cameras as does Makawao's only gas at Minit Stop which stays open late, again...cameras.

I think she had gas. I dont believe SC's truck ever left Haiku that Sunday. Its easy to rip his story apart and we are taking to much of what he says and trying to recreate it. Its pure fantasy. We need to focus only on what we know as facts.

Having been to the so called ditch( Where Charli was supposedly last seen by Steven) on a search I can attest to my Toyota Corolla being able to get out of it on the muddiest of days as it is only a dirt shoulder.

No correction made to the May 15, 2015 Maui News article.

http://www.mauinews.com/page/conten...r-recalls-Capobianco-conversation.html?nav=10

It still says "He said Capobianco reported last seeing Scott at about 5 p.m. Feb. 9, 2014.Family members have reported last seeing Scott at about 10 p.m. that day at her sister's home in Haiku."

Seeming more like Steven told LE he last saw her 5pm and then when her family contacted him later that morning he told them a different time. Hearing today was continuation of motion to suppress whatever he told LE that Tuesday morning.

Sorry to go this far back, but I've been away for a couple of days...
In the conversation about the photo shot of him in Paia--if it was indeed him in his truck
: Normally, wouldn't he have been on the road in Paia going to work (@ 7am?) and going home to Haiku (@ 3pm)?... They must KNOW how he got to work in Paia Sunday! .... Anyway, this all should put to rest any talk of his having left the truck out there Sat. Night, I think.
Also...
Just SC saying that he last saw Charlie at 5pm on Sunday an then publicly changing it to another time -- another whole scenario is HUGE.

Thanks for the info on gas station hours guys.

When I posted last night about what was calendared for today, it was BOTH the continued motion to suppress AND the start of the jury trial. I assumed the motion would be completed and ruled on first.

Of course they will need to go through voir dire and empanel the jury before any actual trial evidence and testimony can be presented.

And why were her clothing and shoes removed? I have never quite understood that.

Removed after the attack. I haven't really thought about it until today. I think we don't understand it or think about it because the reason will be really heinous. Might not be revealed.

Might be he was proud he attacked Joshua and wasn't ready to keep that secret forever

Just a heavy heart today that her family has to go through any of this

Me too. And it will take a long time to go through it. You know tho her family goes through it every day and it will probably not remind them of anything that doesn't already haunt them. This ordeal makes me so sad for them. There is something about Charli that touches our hearts. This should not have happened to her. If only ... If only she had realized what evil intent he had inside him and had stayed far far away from him. I think she was too good a person to imagine it.

If you guys ever want to check the court site yourself for case progress and dates, the site the public can access is Hoohiki.
http://hoohiki1.courts.state.hi.us/jud/Hoohiki/main.htm
This is the case number: 2PC14-1-000491
Or search by last name for Capobianco. There are a bunch of records, but this case is the next to last one.
