Yes Starter..other items. Its not hard to tip over a car with a Come Along Winch available from Home Depot for $45. Even a jack could do it albeit several blocking steps. Ive done it all alone. But...you are not gonna carry that stuff home. Its heavy. There's another car involved if SC is linked and SC cant drive two at the same time. Accomplice.

But why would you put your hands on a car that was on fire? Not to take the grill off. Its too labor intense on a burning vehicle. They didnt want to stay around while it was on fire. Its too close to houses and the FD might ave been called. If they had enough time to flip the car and take parts they had enough to take the grill off before the car was tipped. I believe there was something in it that they realized he needed to take after they had gotten their parts and lit it ablaze. Something quick and easy to risk getting that close

After the fact? Who would want burnt car parts?
I'm wondering if this suggested accomplice was unaccounted for any time during that period?

"In her burned vehicle there were parts of a burned phone but it was not able to be identified as hers or not."

I'm not sure how accurate this info is. But we did learn later that both SC and CS had the same phone. Maybe he forgot his phone was in there. That's worth getting burnt hands for.

Sorry, I'm reading the back threads. And some things I'm pondering... sorry I'm all over the place!

1. Was it ever determined what he used the $1200 cash advance for?

2. Did his cell phone also ping at 10:56pm? It was said that MPD was in possession of his phone.

3. What is/was his father in prison for?

4. From his interview, someone posted the following; He said, We CAME back to Haiku. Who is we? His other answers miss pronouns. WE came back to Haiku. Not we were going back to Haiku or we started our way back to Haiku, he said we CAME back to Haiku as in they (him and Charli) made it back to Haiku. I think there was a slip of the tongue here. He later goes on to say that he was absolutely certain he saw her headlights in his rear view mirror and that it was around Twin Falls. What was it? They came back to Haiku or he last saw her around Twin Falls? At this point we know she didn't come back to Haiku with him, so who was he referring to as "we"?

5. Could the accomplice be the grandfather?

6. While SC was on Facebook that Sunday, starting at 3pm, could he have possibly been hiding or waiting somewhere for Charli that didn't pan out? Was he planning on doing this earlier that day? So he passed his time on Facebook waiting? Did he in fact see her at 5pm?

PeterTosh: first, thanks for giving respectful credence to that notion, and sorry to be so unclear, everybody!
...I was thinking it would be a hot engine and radiator from driving the car there (from somewhere), and a guy in a hurry, reaching down between the hot radiator and the grill...but, I'm not real familiar, as I said, with the anatomy of the 4Runner. Can't even spell it right...

So but, I don't see why he couldn't have done it all by his own self. We know how easy it was to drop it off & walk somewhere to get his truck, if he needed it.
...And under the body for parts? Maybe I'm over-thinking this...maybe hooligans tipped it over for fun afterward or maybe before it was burnt, to get the muffler or something--I don't know--someone who knows trucks: help!...anyway From a previous post, it appeared that the tires were not in the booty, but did burn w/ the car.

Wait, I reread PT's post...so, something might have been removed after the torching began...I hadn't thought of that.

If it was burnt on his hands close to Wednesday, hence fresh burn, I'm picturing a light burn from hot metal and not a bad burn. Otherwise, it wouldn't be easily identifiable as a burn.

Ok...I'd better add again: I am done with this rabbit trail !

I'm not, the tipped over car possibly signals an accomplice...
...as does every other theory...

Good questions all. My head is spinning being an armchair detective. I can only imagine what the family is reliving now.
I often wonder about 3, and 5 (after the fact).

No need to apologize, Heartgoesout...plenty more questions to ponder where those came from, too.
For me, it's # 4...["From his interview, someone posted the following; He said, We CAME back to Haiku. Who is we? His other answers miss pronouns. WE came back to Haiku. I think the $ was for GF's plane fare to PA. (#1)

And #6?... I don't think those were his posts on his Facebook on Sunday or Monday. I think they were made by an unwitting accomplice: the GF in PA, as I've explained before, while he was occupied doing something nefarious ...Call me crazy.

Thats Cray Cray!

Anywho...Yes when he says "We came back" it truley sounds like he is manfesting it as opposed to "we were on our way back" which sound more like reliving it.

Interesting theory about where the $$ went. Very interesting...

Twin Falls or Haiku...very astute...the are different.

Under the truck is the starter. 2 bolts and one nut and its off. Access is difficult hence flipping it over. Not hard.

Maybe its just me but Im getting a premonition that SC does not want to live with himself much longer. Just saying.

  • #474
is he on suicide watch in prison?

  • #475
I felt a sense of despair...like maybe he knows the cards are stacked against him and his Lawyers are not up to the task...and he doesn't want to go through this horrible trial...the humiliation...the hate. Whats the point? Goodbye Cruel World...then again he is a psychopath without feelings...what do I know? When I feel stuff though I like to make a record of it. Thanks all.

If he dies of anything it'll be starvation. There was another food strike the other day. I guess the portion sizes are bigger at the schools and many of the prisoners are starving. I read their diet is ramen, rice and cereal. The MCCC handbook paints a bleak picture. The prisoners are also stacked 4 to a cell, in a space designed for two. One hour of recreation a day. If convicted he'll move to a Federal prison.

There's a lot of escapes from this prison but where would he go? Everyone would recognize him. Yeah, better he just keep up the fight.

Is he allowed visitors? If so, does anyone visit him?

Well, he had all those big plans for his life that Charli and Joshua were going to derail, so he thought ... girlfriend gone, freedom gone, any good reputation gone, in jail for over a year ... if the pregnancy upset him, imagine how mad is he now.

Interesting about the food. KS wrote to him reminding him how Charli fixed his fave organic foods for him, always, and he won't be getting his organic diet at MCCC. He does look emaciated. What food he is getting he probably hates. He was so anti-GMO, and that diet is probably GMO heavy in his mind.

Maybe now is the time to get him to tell where she is. Capitalize on his current weakness.
Keep asking, keep asking, keep asking, where are they Steven? Maybe he'll break.

Last July when he was arraigned, the Scotts noted that it was uncomfortable, members of his family seated behind them. So some family members were attending. A lot has been revealed since then.

It's hard for me to imagine grandfather being an accomplice to murdering pregnant girlfriend. Unless the whole family is psychopaths. Which I have no reason to think.
