NASHVILLE, Tenn. - New developments have been made in the Holly Bobo murder case.

Attorneys for suspect Zach Adams have demanded that Judge Creed McGinley recuse himself from the case. They argued the judge has had improper ex parte -- excluding the defense -- communications with the prosecution.

They also claimed the judge has made several comments indicating that he believes Adams is guilty and has encouraged Adams to plead guilty.

...

What Does This All Mean?

For one, it could lead to yet another delay on a case that dates back to 2011. It also raises questions about the possibility of plea deals. We should learn more at a hearing on Wednesday.

The attorney of accused killer Zach Adams is asking for the judge to recuse himself from the Holly Bobo case.

In a motion, she has argued that Judge Creed McGinley has shown bias towards the state.

Adams is one of three suspects charged with the rape and murder of Bobo in 2011.

I wish Foxfire could be with us for the trials.

JMO

I do too, and I miss him so much and his respectful intelligent posts. He will be with all of us in spirit during the trials. He wanted so much to see justice for Holly and her family.

May God rest his honorable soul. He cared so much about victims.

This part of the article jumped out at me the most!

Thompson quoted McGinley as saying, "If I were representing Zach Adams, and based on new developments in the case and what the court has been led to believe occurred, if I were Mr. Adams' attorney, I'd be beating down the door at 201 Poplar to negotiate a deal."

Hmmm, so they have uncovered new evidence. Very very interesting. I know LE investigators don't stop investigating any case just because its going to trial. They continue to investigate right up until trial time.

What has happened to Foxfire?

Surely, the Court will not accept a confession or testimony from JA unless there is independent corroboration. I always felt he would turn on ZA in a heartbeat.

What has happened to Foxfire?

He passed away Pearl. There is a thread about him if you want to read all about it.

It is starting to look probable that JA is going to testify against ZA.
It is also starting to look like he may have told them exactly what happened and that is their new evidence.

Fingers will be pointing in all three directions real soon as to who did what with that poor girl.

It is still very telling that JA was trying to pass off that Holly was at ZA's residence a couple days prior to her kidnapping. He never stated this before he saw the evidence against him. This is almost 100% they can prove she was in ZA's home.

What is happening now IMO is every rapist/murderer for themselves......trying to save themselves from a date with the gurney.

Wow ... I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Foxfire. He was a great asset here at WS.

I haven't been here in a while and missed this news.

:rose: RIP, Foxfire
