Now I am confused-I thought the merchandise sale was not being done???

I spoke with some very well intentioned people today. It takes a lot of time and money to establish a non profit, or even a Charitable Giving Organization. But at grandmaj mentioned, eyes wide open when you donate to any cause.

Believe they are selling shirts, bracelets and adding caps soon. If you look at some of the pictures on FB's I noted that they had little wooden "HOPE" nick nacks on a table at the vigil also, and I wonder if they are selling those or someone else.

Search Group Explains Hailey Dunn Merchandise Sales

The group behind t-shirts being sold to raise awareness about missing 13-year-old Hailey Dunn sent out a statement detailing where proceeds for shirt sales are being spent.
Kristy Lloyd says money made from merchandise sales goes directly into the Hailey's Search fund set up at the City National Bank in Colorado City.

Talk about your hard-hitting news reporting...this article is essentially just a restatement of the "official" statement posted on the HFH website. A ten year-old could have phoned it in.

Are there ANY journalists covering Hailey's case??

I'm so disgusted with this case anymore...
High profile organizations giving BilLIE awards/money while she is still involved with the suspect... Marc Klass standing up for her... Child Traffic/911 asking her to speak... all got fooled/bu...rnt by this pathetic excuse for a human incubator.. You would think once it was announced the CP was found at her house, that people would think to themselves "Damn, I need to get the f* away from this...!!!" It shouldn't take the Law to have to put out a notice to searchers who are friendly with the suspect or POI not to search...
It truely saddens me that sincere people who want to help find the missing, who are unable because they live too far away or disabled , give money to help.. only to find out, they have been scammed..!!!!
Many worthy causes now and in the future will feel the effect of this...
Just a note to the lump of ***** sitting on her new couch, and freshly painted walls, and new van... Are you waiting for your TV from layaway to show up... maybe you should recarpet the place too... oh... thats right... your waiting for Clint to sign the house over to you for full custody of a missing child... How about this... You tell Clint where his daughter is and he will sign the house over to you...!!!!

It's all just a business IMO. Why should searchers expect free water and snacks. They should bring their own if no one is donating any. Is this outfit giving out gas money for those in the surrounding small towns to get there? Will they still be around a couple of years from now if Haylie isn't found soon or will they move on to the next missing child and start up pages and donations for that one.....

If BD/CD are living off the proceeds of this organization from donations
(like the Anthony's) is this fraud? Isn't it illegal? Yet no one does anything
about it?
This is why people shy way from donating............
CZ (part of this) tried to get BD dontions from here 3 months ago IIRC.

BBM Just my :twocents:; we have always made donations, like a funeral fund or search fund, directly at our bank, Wells Fargo, because a fund has been set up for that purpose. Most times the fund is for out of our state and this was the easiest way to do so. This group could have saved a lot of aggravation by having a bank set up the account and no one would be involved and there would be no controversy.

Results of the research that our Moderator Believe conducted.

At the present time the group is not an organized non profit corporation. They have not filed anything with the State, County or Chamber of Commerce organizing as such.

They are not a non-profit organization. The only thing the group has is an EIN number. Tax ID number.

I'm not casting aspersions on anyone who is handling the funds, but at the present time they are collecting donations without a charter to govern use of those funds. They can effectively decide to use it for anything. I think there are some well meaning people who are now realizing they didn't organize correctly.

All I can recommend is that you donate at your own risk. These donations are not tax deductable.

Thank You Believe for doing this research. :blowkiss:

From the beginning when BD's friend, CZ, was here and posted so quickly about setting up a fund for BD that was a huge red flag for me. Then she continued posting the info until one of the Mods, I believe it was, removed those posts and she was alerted that was against WS rules. That was just to early, IMO, to be thinking about any donations to either part of HD family, and it just reeked of wrong!! Still makes me angry that anyone is donating anything to BD, especially when she hangs out with the suspect and has been called a POI herself!!
I wish everyone that was so concerned with taking care of Billie would remember that she is still willingly connected with SA, who is the only na ed suspect, and that this isn't about BD getting her needs and wants met.....it's all about HAILEY!

JMO but do the words "send cash" ring a bell? That's all I've seen and heard.

No donations coming from this house ever, period, until such time as Hailey is found or her whereabouts are given to LE.

Who is reputable? Good intentions in the wrong hands? All donations of any kind need to be stopped immediately IMO!

I hope LE steps everything up several notches. Deep squeeze play on all those parties actively coercing with BD and SA.

Let's get this show on the road!

We need a Texas size roundup!

I don't see how T shirts or ornaments will help anything except make someone a bit of money, especially at the beginning of a missing person case. People won't wear them around or send their kids to school in them. People need to be searching the areas that haven't been searched. To say the statement of the city manager caused less searchers is ridiculous. People know what is actually being searched for when out looking through fields and ditches.

I think it's telling that more media is not giving this group or CD very much coverage for HD....and the same time heart breaking. Big Country is atleast trying to keep everything in this case in the open and tho negative, it does keep HD's name out there.

The beginning of HFH was announced about the time of the 911Trafficking rally, and I IIRC, wasn't Amber's mother helping to set this up...(or am I confused)? The day before the rally, all hello broke loose on the porny charges, BD's appearance with HD at the rally was cancelled and I believe it was awhile after the rally before HFH eventually outed itself. CD would not comment on the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 findings, then questioned SA's suspect status, and started allegience with BD..somewhat. CD stated he wanted to get the word about HD nationally along with the knowledge of child trafficking. It hasn't happened. All we see is still local. So that tells me he's either not trying to take it nationally or they are not interested.

My question to him...why associate with BD at all after what has been brought to light along with her actions? He'd better wake up and get to it....for Hailey, imo. Otherwise he's seen in the same light ---- nothing positive for bringing HD home at all.

I honestly doubt that. Clint has never been a POI and he has actually been out searching and making appearances.

He is associated with BD forever because Hailey was their daughter, but at this point no one has "equated" him with her and especially not with SA. Even if people sent him donations, I still doubt anyone would begrudge that the way they begrudge BD and her personal search team raking in money. JMOO :cow:

RBBM: That was one of the first things that made me suspicious of BD's motives in finding her daughter. Having a fund set up within days of Hailey missing, like she had no hope that Hailey would be coming home soon. And add to the fact that CZ seemed to want to cut CD out of the fund until someone said something about his needs also. Then, there was some backtracking to say something to the effect that yeah, Clint should be included also.

Personally, I am sick of BD and her "friends" giving the appearance that Hailey's missing is a get rich quick scheme. She should get her butt off of the couch and get a job and stop relying on others to support her sorry azz. We know she's not out searching, so what else could she be doing, besides planning her reunion with Mr. Awesome or planning her defense?

I have said this before, and I'm going to say it again. Hundreds of parents would kill for the kind of national coverage that BD received when Hailey first went missing. BD made it about her and SA, it was never about Hailey. I hate to say this, but next time a child goes missing like this, a lot of folks are going to think twice about searching and donating money to help find that child. And we have the Anthonys and this cluster fluck to blame.

ETA: I guess maybe I shouldn't assume that BD wanted the fund set up, that CZ took it upon herself to do that, but it seems to me that they are as thick as thieves, so maybe that is why I assume that BD had something to with wanting the fund set up.

Ground rules. You can talk about posts that were made here on WS. We cannot talk about private messages or other personal interaction with a poster. Keep it to posts and how those posts led you to a certain thought process. :)

Edited to add...... if at any time you receive any communication unwanted which is upsetting to you, please communicate that problem with a moderator. :blowkiss:

Have a good day peeps.

I don't know Kamille, maybe it's to buy water for the searchers?

I really want to think the best about where this money is going, but I fear the worst......

That same article says, "In a statement, Lloyd says the fund is used to keep Hailey's face out in the public and keep search efforts active."

Now what that means exactly, I'm not sure. Is Lloyd saying the money in the fund is being used to produce merchandise and posters?

Well, your guess would be as good as mine. I have seen one poster where I live for Hailey, at the local Wal-Mart.

I haven't seen anyone rockin' any Hailey gear here either....

But, if the funds are being used to make merchandise, how come they haven't filed for non-profit status?

I'm so cornfused.
