He just seems a little quick to throw in the towel to me. The slightest little thing goes wrong and he is out of there. Maybe that is why he doesn't get volunteers - he never stays in one place long enough for them to believe he will be there. He doesn't say "we will stay as long as we have volunteers." He says "We will stay until Caylee is found." moo
They are not going to "come around" Kgeaux. I believe that is the issue here. Casey could be in the court system for months or years even. They will maintain their stance of Caylee being alive for the sake of the case as long as it takes and maybe forever.I believe it is an intrusion to foist oneself into a family's private grief without the invitation of the family.
When the Anthony's are ready, they will hold a memorial service (or a funeral if Caylee's little body is found.) Until that time, I think it is highly presumptuous of the public at large to think their needs to memorialize the little girl usurps the family's need to continue to believe there is a chance she is alive.
No harm would come from waiting for the family to come around, but I can see harm coming from "forcing" the issue.
It's just incredibly poor taste, IMO.
Lol, Brini. I sure hope so. I felt like I needed one after watching.![]()
All I can say, this is a remarkable family and as we were all grieving for those around us who had suffered, the entire town...yes, even those who did not know this family personally came together for the service. There were many memorial services for people we did not know...not all involved family members even being there...the point being is that people often need an outlet to express their grief...their compassion for lives cut short. Proper...I'd like to know if there is a hard and fast rule as far as grieving is concerned. If we are to accept that the Anthony's are grieving in their own way, I see nothing wrong then in acknowledging that others have a need to grieve the way they see fit as well. I'm a pretty "by the book" person, but don't see where etiquette comes into play with "grief" and the best way to deal with it.
OMG! Hahahahaha~ I guess when you are single and hot...you can say whatever you like about her and her little darling, Casey! I happened to notice she was fine two seconds earlier then moved right by Rob to "break down". Yeah...right.
Angry rubbing! ROFLMAO
I was counting the 1000 that were riding with Murt today. So I stand by the statement of 1100.![]()
Your acquaintances situation was unique - btw, I also know several families of 9/11 victims and they did NOT hold memorial services prior to issuance of a death certificate. Not saying your acquaintances did anything wrong, though. Here's the thing about the rules of etiquette regarding memorial services: a memorial service is for the comfort of the survivors of the deceased person. This DOES NOT include people who NEVER EVEN KNEW OR MET the person. Sorry, but this really IS an etiquette issue. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with holding a service in the hope of someday finding Caylee (dead or alive). But forcing a memorial service upon people who are clearly not ready is completely improper, and, in fact, cruel.

I can imagine a lengthy one with lots of scrubbing and possible delousing compounds...ewwww:crazy:

Should Caylee have to wait on them to have something done in her honor because they want to save the woman who tossed her aside like garbage? I don't think so. 21 weeks is long enough for them to come to terms that this child is not coming home and deserves to be acknowledged. It was time.
Well, LP has done SO much more than the family, to try to locate Caylee. He spent 50K to spring KC, and supported her position, until it became obvious by the forensic evidence that Caylee was dead in her mom's car.
And, the family hasn't moved to give her an appropriate memorial.
It's a perfect Catch-22. They will not memorialize, because they insist that she is alive. However, they also refuse to search, themselves. MOO
The standoff protects KC, they think, and ensures them continued attention.
When Tim's sonar sees a park bench in the water, it stays in the water. Why would you expect him to pull it out? That's not what he's there for. Tim is everything he claims to be with honesty and integrity beyond measure. When he made his promise it was with the assumption that he would have enough help. You cannot cover this much area with 1000, 500, then 50 people. There are miles and miles yet to cover. As far as letting any searchers or believers in him down, speak for yourself please. I believe in Tim 100% as do many many others. If you want to talk about disappointment, try showing up to the TES searches and see what Tim and TES teams deal with and the disappointment in their faces when they CAN'T deliver because they cannot get enough help. For a city the size of Orlando, where is everyone? It takes a lot of help and your criticism of Tim with no firm basis for your statements are not fair.
He got a lot of volunteers according to emails and phone calls but about half showed up. That commitment thing, you know. Lots of people have good intentions but when it comes down to it, they're no where to be found.
As far as Tim quitting......hasn't happened. There is still a core team Tim left here to work with volunteers for smaller searches on the weekends or for those that have the time during the week until he can get back. The major search for Caylee is "suspended", not terminated. He's on 4 new searches in North Carolina as of right now. I wouldn't want to be Tim being pulled in so many different directions.
