Why is there a hurricane thread in the Parking Lot of all places???? I thought the mods merged them all into this forum (where weather news goes.) Guess they missed one, lol.

It rained some last night and drizzly today but thats about it. Surfers are enjoying the waves today. I went down to the beach earlier to check it out but there was just enough wind to kick up the sand and I didnt feel like getting sand blasted so came back home.

I saw that Tybee, and the Hobie Cats just waiting for me to grab one for a sail. Sandblasted? It's so dry here that when the wind kicks up and I'm outside, it takes two good showers to get all the sand and dirt out of my hair, ears and mouth.

I'm on the grand strand in South Carolina (Conway- near Myrtle beach) and we have been having some rain and a few gusts here and there of wind but nothing bad at ALL! The storm we had last week was worse then this thing.
Horry county schools let out and hour early today and is starting an hour late in the morning.

It looks like its coming my way. We got bad rain here last night, with flooding in the roads. They even cancelled school today. The Coast Guard is flying the planes out to a safer place just in case it gets bad.
