How is your friend? In a safe place now or does he need to be rescued?

T. is doing well and even more good news:

Power has been restored where he lives (Four County Electric). I hope it stays on!

And he just showed me pictures of Bladenboro which is completely under water.

I'm just glad T.'s safe. He is a survivor.

Praying for everyone affected it is so sad people have died. Between the hurricane and the typhoon it has been a terrible week by mother nature.

Wilmington just broke the record for the most rain in any year 86 inches for the year

local news outlet

That's enough rain for the next decade.

He still isn't able to evacuate? Thanks for the updates.

Hopefully all our peeps can check in soon.

Evacuation was the first order then rescinded due to the fast flooding of the roads and trees falling all over the roads. IOW residents were advised to stay at home and allow only emergency vehicles which makes sense I think...

T. just mentioned a convenience store in his town was looted. A bag of ice.

There’s one dam near Galax, VA that was in danger of failing like 2 weeks ago and they’re getting a ton of rain right now.
