Hurricane Michael - October 2018

Ari just did it

so do you have enough provisions for several days

Dear Ari :

It does not (repeat not matter) how many packages of Ham people have if said packages are floating around with your refrigerator , your couch and your SUV in your living room !!

I suppose if for some reason you have practiced eating a ham sandwich in scuba gear maybe -- but my guess is bags of ice and a car full of gas that is floating away does not really have much meaning

I feel like a voyeur watching storm coverage on TV. I switch back & forth from CNN to The Weather Channel. It truly amazes me that these reporters put themselves in harm's way to cover a storm for those of who aren't experiencing it.

To anyone here who is in Michael's path, be safe and well.

Our power is out, and the wind has really picked up here. I'm in the SE corner of AL. I think the next few hours will be the worst here. We're hoping the storm will weaken quickly now that it's over land.

Oh wow! Up to roof level!
Houses left underwater as Hurricane Michael brings severe flooding to coastal Florida

A passenger aboard the Royal Caribbean’s Empress of the Seas posted a video Tuesday on Twitter when the ship was being hit by the outer bands of the hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico. The ship, which left Miami, was near la Isla de Juventud, Cuba, when it encountered the storm, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

Wow, Mexico Beach reminds me of the tsunami in Thailand in 2004. Debris that looks like boards from destroyed buildings is just floating around.
