I'm not sure where the line is with the questions I want to ask, but does anyone know if this suspect's husband was also in the same professional orbit as these two?

her husband has owned his own construction firm since 1998, not sure if he was/is affiliated with the company AO worked for at the time of her murder, or if he ever knew her, seems KR has lived her life post the murders in the same home pre the murders which she and her husband built, she still works within real estate and pictures from the article I posted above show a seemingly happy family life,

I often find myself wondering why LE and lay people still say after a horrific crime look around your circle of family or friends, has somebodies behavior changed, do they appear more anxious, stressed etc, the reality is most people who commit an horrific murder go home and on the surface they seem no different, KR has lived for 15 years with this secret, and nobody (except for LE, and we do not know when they began to suspect her) knew what she had done,

Wow, I was surprised to see an arrest and even more surprised to see who. I have followed this case for a while and I didn't expect it to be solved. I know a couple of realtors who started coming to open houses armed after this case.

It will be interesting to see what new evidence they developed after 15 years.

My guess it will boil down to love (affair) or money.

This woman I believe was working for the developer of that building/units at the time. Might not be the one who called police but someone from her employment called 911 after hearing gunshots the day Ashley was shot.
Have not caught up yet on this case, but just so everyone knows, the current suspect/KR, is  not the person who called 911 on the day Ashley was killed; that caller was WF.

Yes, and I think she also worked for Rottlund Homes or lived there (that is where this Kristin "Krissy" worked at the time), Rottlund went belly up in 2011. I wonder if there was some sort of jealousy motive like I had suspected...maybe a younger, more attractive female pushed her over the edge? The details will be interesting tomorrow.
Just a wild guess here (since I have zero ",insider" information): Over the last year or so, the current Iowa governor has stated that, in order to be good stewards of taxpayers' money, efforts would be directed toward uncovering any misuse of funds...specifically of fraudulent activity. The State Auditor has already caught numerous individuals (some who have served -- yes, past tense -- in positions of financial trust).

Wondering if, in the state government's efforts to uncover fraud, they somehow came across some instance(s) of fraud in real estate transactions? 🤔 Again, this is MOO.

What IF (big "if" here), KR  may (don't know anything at this point) have somehow been involved waaaay back (say 14-15 years ago; at that time KR handled many financial transactions in her role as a manager for the now-defunct Rottlund Homes)? If AO came to learn of anything fraudulent during the course of a transaction (during the final closing of a property, for example; AO was an honest person from all accounts), perhaps those involved with any such fraud thought it necessary to...silence AO?

Again, only a wild idea based on the last 12 months or so of various public announcements of fraud having been uncovered throughout the state. MOO.

Very interesting news released today....I wonder why she was not arrested early on and how the case went "cold"

New court documents released Thursday detail witness accounts of the events surrounding Ashley Okland's killing in 2011, marking the first time this information has been made public. The documents state that a witness who lived next to the townhome heard two loud noises and then saw Ramsey outside the front door of the townhome. The witness reportedly looked out a second-story window and saw Ramsey pacing by her vehicle and on her phone.

According to the court filing, Ramsey called another Rottlund Homes employee but did not call 911. Court records show Okland was shot at close range -- once in the chest and once in the face.

Prosecutors say Ramsey has been interviewed multiple times over the course of this investigation and has provided conflicting versions of her whereabouts that day. The witness then saw Ramsey "back up at a high rate of speed in an erratic manner and leave the area," according to court documents.

Court records show a search warrant was executed on May 3, 2011, when law enforcement officials discovered several items of concern, including multiple firearms, illegal substances and posters threatening violence.

A second search warrant was executed at the defendant's home this spring when law enforcement officials found multiple firearms, illegal substances and some of the same posters threatening violence.

I'm adding a link to this new info. I am absolutely shocked LE had this info early on yet she remained free.for 15 years.

In a new court filing, a witness who lived next door reported hearing two loud noises before seeing Ramsey outside the front door of the townhome, according to KCCI.

The witness also reportedly told authorities she saw Ramsey pacing outside her vehicle and using her phone upon looking out her second-story window.

The court filing indicates Ramsey called a colleague at Rottlund Homes immediately following the alleged shooting, but did not call 911, the outlet reported.

Shortly afterward, the witness reported seeing Ramsey “back up at a high rate of speed in an erratic manner and leave the area,” court documents show, according to KCCI.

Authorities also indicated the witness — not Ramsey — called 911 to report the shooting.

Prosecutors have since revealed that Ramsey has given conflicting versions of her whereabouts on the day of the alleged murder in multiple interviews since the investigation began, according to KCCI.

Court records also show that authorities discovered several firearms, illegal substancesand violent posters inside Ramsey’s home upon executing a search warrant on May 3, 2011, the outlet reported.

Jealousy over what? They didn't work together.

That the suspect is a WOMAN was shocking to me! Everyone was probably looking for a man.

I am not shocked.

Kristin was already a suspect back in 2011.
A judge was convinced to issue a search warrant of her home, whereas they discovered 1) multiple fire arms, 2) illegal substance, and 3) violent posters.
Owning multiple fire arms legally is not a crime.
I don't know how "violent posters" look like or what are "violent posters" to be mentioned in the result of the search warrant, but owning posters is not a crime.
Whatever illegal substance Kristin owned, perhaps she got light legal consequence if any at all for that offense. 15 years later, another search warrant is executed at her home and ... they discovered ... 1) multiple fire arms, 2) illegal substance, and 3) violent posters!

I suspect 1) sex or 2) money or 3) both sex and money are the motives in this first degree murder case.
It does not have to be Kristin's sex and money.
I would not be surprised if Kristin were a hit man, or should I write hit woman if such spoken usage existed, but ... women are obviously capable of first degree murders.

Incidentally, be it Technology and pornography, or time crunch due life pressure, but it seems US society has less sex ... since the advent of Windows 95, cell phones, Google search, video conferencing, and now Ai! It seems our society is sadly having less premarital sex, less marital sex, and less extramarital sex ...
Bringing in young women from Asia and Eastern Europe seemed to have alleviated the issue in the early 2000s, but now sadly ... sex seems to be lacking in the lives of the US' Alphabet Generations.
So, when sex is the motive of something grave such as first degree murder, it is somewhat refreshing that ... human nature has not completely subsided behind the advent of Technology!
US society should make sex great again!

Ashley Okland, 27, was found dead at a model townhome in West Des Moines, where she was hosting an open house April 8, 2011. Her family and friends filled the courtroom for a Friday hearing for Kristin Ramsey, 53, who was arrested last month after an indictment charged her with first-degree murder.

"That Friday afternoon when Ashley was taken from us seems so long ago," Brittany Bruce, Okland's sister told reporters in March. "We had lost our hope in finding answers and having any justice for Ashley."

Prosecutors said a neighbor who called 911 reportedly saw Ramsey, who worked with Okland, outside the front door of the model home and pacing by her car while talking on her cellphone before she drove off. State Assistant Attorney General Scott Brown said during the hearing Friday that Ramsey returned 15 minutes later.

Ramsey's attorneys said there are gaps in the case prosecutors presented to the grand jury, including by misrepresenting what the witness reported in the 911 call, and attorney Alfredo Parrish said the grand jury even pushed back.

"You don't wait 15 years and then say: 'OK, let's make a go of it,'" Parrish said.
