JMHO...but I haven't seen anything confirming that those woods were thoroughly searched (shoulder to shoulder), because they are very dense and full of poison ivy apparently. I've seen footage of volunteers walking through open areas and semi-wooded areas, but not thrashing through what those woods look like to me. MOO

I don't remember where I saw it, so I don't have the link.

At one point, I believe I remember Chief Deputy Rick Abben saying that the woods had been thoroughly searched.

At the time, I made a joke on WS about investing in Tecnu, which is stuff that neutralises and washes off poison ivy if you do it before the rash starts. I tried to do a search on my WS pseudonym and Tecnu but didn't get any matches. But I know I made that joke!!!

I am convinced but then, this fits the theory of the abduction that I've held since I first heard about it.

On the other side, Aunt TB is not a handler of high level tracking dogs, so far as I know. I find it unlikely she was well acquainted with the specific dogs that were there and the way they work because both dogs were flown in.

Without some serious education in how scent dogs and particularly scenthounds work, what she's saying there is the guess of a layperson. Maybe she's right (I think she is) but maybe she's wrong.

Bloodhounds do tend to be whiny, vocal dogs. A lot of them vocalise when they are looking for scent and they vocalise after they've found scent and are actively tracking. But it's like any dog--you have to know that particular dog to know what those particular noises mean.

Anyone who has lived with a house dog probably knows that dog's particular way of communicating they need to go outside. Every dog varies and only someone who knows the dog will know what it means when the dog does it. To anyone else, it's just meaningless barking, whining, pawing, nosing, staring or whatever.

I think what's catching our attention is that Tammy claims the info came from the investigators. Not her 'reading' of the dogs.

OT

BTW: Love your posts and am totally intrigued by all the info about dogs.

Thank you,
however I think (from the video I posted ^^^ there...) TB is also basing that the girls were in the woods with what She says the FBI told her.

I hope she is correct.

However, that's Aunt TB's interpretation of what the FBI person said to her. We have no way of knowing how positive the FBI person was. It's understandable that Aunt TB wants the girls to be found and wants there to be positive evidence of anything that might lead to the girls. I don't know if that strong desire is causing her to unconsciously bias what the FBI told her.

I've had experience with this, where someone brings me a dog, they're doing something bizarre with that dog and they tell me "So-and-so said that when she went to your seminar, there was a dog just like mine and you had that handler do this." It's usually something I would never, ever have a handler do!

With all the best will in the world, somehow the message got mixed up between me, the seminar participant and the person coming to me for a lesson.

That's just the vagaries of memory.

ETA: But I still hope and think she was correct. I just feel dishonest if I don't lay out the reasons why she may not be correct.

Thoroughly searched could mean a lot of things. Shoulder-to-shoulder would be good, but my suggestion would have been to search from knee level. I remember some cases where older boy scouts (explorers?) searched on their knees and found critical evidence.

Well, yeah. Shoulder to shoulder on hands and knees is the gold standard of searching.

At this point, what we have is "thoroughly searched" and the hope that it meant a shoulder to shoulder hands and knees search.

A TV9 News team is on the way. Watch for updates on the TV9 News at Midday.

ETA: another local station is reporting neighbors say a body has been found.

You know if the FBI really told the family that they believe the girls are alive and safe, it will be just HORRIBLE, if they find out from day 1 that they were not.

I know it Will be horrible in both ways but i just would make it even more so because it really gets peoples hopes up.

Checking with Mod to see if I can post about a jailing this AM with prior "history"!

I think if someone was actually jailed per MSM or the state/locality database, it would be OK to post.

Question for you sleuthers that know a lot more about this stuff than me. What are the chances that the girls will still be together or (hate to say) their bodies will be found together?? Just curious what some of your thoughts are.
