Got hubby talked into going to Evansdale tomorrow. I will be recording on my phones camcorder. I will start at Collins home and go past where the camera caught them and the onto Lafayette st, to the bike path and will go past the water lawn guys house to the lake. I will also record the woods and all aound where the bikes were found. Anything else?

And check out all those woods and then I will send you a crate of Poison Ivy Lotion... :giggle:

In that Fox video..."they have suspects".

Btw, I posted it on the timeline thread. Remember to post on that thread if you find something you have to keep going back to find...MOO

Am I hearing that right that they have suspects? I wonder if they still do?

I know I am way behind, and have seen this question asked, but nobody has provided any sort of answer...

Why did she immediately go to the lake where the bikes were located? If the girls had never been there before, and were not allowed to go that far by bike, then WHY LOOK THERE?? I'd probably have driven up and down local neighborhood streets for a while, figuring the firls had stopped to see, talk to, or play with another child.

Unless a "big deal" had specifically been made with regard to the girls wanting to ride to the lake and being told no, why would that be the first place you would think to look? I mean, if they had asked the night before to go there, and had been told "no" it would make a lot more sense to go right to the (forbidden) lake, since the girls had expressed an interest in it.

MOO

IIRC the family had already searched much of the town before Aunt T said go to the lake. We also now know per aunt t that Elizabeth had been to the lake before with neighbor girls. I don't believe she had a job.

Corrections welcome.

I thought maybe aunt T went to the lake to look because she knew they had went there before. She said otherwise because of the embarrassment of letting the girls go that far. IDK JMO

It could be.

I think it's likely that the perp is an adult. Most adults are taller than 4'1" and would look pretty out of place on Elizabeth's bicycle.

An adult wheeling a kid's bike might not draw attention, though. I think most people might assume the bicycle belonged to a younger sibling or their own child, depending on the age of the perp.

I disagree with you because Aunt T said she gave Lyric that bike. And it used to be hers.

Here is what we don't know about the Linn County situation. A man got killed allegedly, and another person is holed up in a house deep in the woods surrounded by LE. So, we don't know who that is, or what is in that house, or why he allegedly shot the other man. MOO

Your husband is going to hate me, but can you redo my fly-by videos from ground level at bike speed?

Also one I didnt do which is the Evansdale trail from the Fareway all the way down past the skate park.

Last one - can you go from grassy area and/or Maiden Lane entrance off of Arbutus and go east on Arbutus until you can turn right and go south under 380. This would be a car route and car speed (not bike)

If I am asking too much just do the best you can. It is nice to have someone there that can do anything.

It doesn't seem like a big mystery to me but I am often obtuse (I don't get most jokes, either).

By the time Aunt TB heard about the cousins being missing, Grandma Cook had already driven around Evansdale for an hour and had checked all three parks.

Two out of the three parks in Evansdale can be scanned completely from a vehicle. The only one that can't be scanned that way is Meyer's Lake. Well, the skate park by Meyer's Lake can be scanned from a vehicle but with the trail, the rest of Meyer's Lake is sort of part of the park.

I think that either Aunt TB's subconscious mind made the obvious conclusion or her conscious mind did it but it was more dramatic to call it her gut feeling (in my humble opinion, anything goes with Aunt TB and I mean that in a nice way).

Drew Collins was at home, watching the young'uns and probably calling around to the homes of the various kids they know.

So if two kids were to be out of sight in Evansdale, where would I look for them if the possibility of abduction had not been in my mind at all? I'd go for Meyer's Lake, the only place that can't be completely scanned from a vehicle and has a nice trail that bicycle riders can use.

Or maybe Aunt TB really did have a flash of prescience. It could happen. To put it into any sort of context, though, I would want to know how often she has a gut feeling and how often those gut feelings are correct or incorrect.

I know my husband has very reliable gut feelings. I also know that he believes that they are a result of his subconscious mind adding up lots of little clues and popping the end result into his conscious mind. His gut feelings can always be arrived at via logic, once he verbalises them.

The thing about this current Linn County report that is interesting is that there is such a police presence, swat team, news teams heading there. There seem to be lots of shootings, etc., going on all the time...just listen to any scanner in the country, but they don't send in so many people...usually. MOO

I'm thinking their interest may have very well been the same as ours...due to two little girls missing from Evansdale...that they dropped everything (as we did here) to rush to the Linn Co. site immediately upon hearing that a body had been found. possible?

One last thing. Could you locate and rescue the girls while you are there (If you have time) :)

Lyric is close to a foot taller than Elizabeth. It doesn't surprise me that Lyric could ride Aunt TB's bicycle because just judging from her video interviews, she appears to be somewhere between 5 foot and 5 foot 4 inches.

Elizabeth, however, is 4 foot 1 inch tall. No way a bicycle that fits Aunt TB could fit Elizabeth. A difference in height that great needs a different size of bicycle frame.

again (sorry) I disagree because I used to ride my dads 10 speeds at the age of 10 and I was a skinny little kid.

Another delay! Is this the second?

The first delay was July 27th, I believe. This is the second.

Anywhere a bicyclist goes where the freedom of movement is limited can be cornered. A ten foot wide trail with a fence on either side would make it so easy to catch a bicyclist that I'm betting even I could do it and I have to use a walker to move! I'm not that mobile but close to 30 years experience of training dogs has given me a good sense of timing.

The obstacle confining a bicyclist doesn't even have to be as large as a fence. A bicyclist riding parallel to a street curb is often just as trapped by someone pulling up alongside unless they've given themselves experience in horsing a bicycle into a sideways jump up a curb (which would be very few bicyclists).

:seeya: Of course I know bikers could be cornered most anywhere. :)
Im referring to the map which shows a particular area where it looks to me like someone
could be cornered easily. imo
