It doesn't look like a couple of hundred feet to me. It looks more like a quarter of a mile. If it's a couple hundred feet, then yes, he could have carried them that far.

It's no more than 500 feet, more likely closer to 400. A mile is 5280 feet ... so 1/4 mile would be 1320 feet.

Even if it's a 1/4 mile, so what, he is carrying small bodies, this means he is a big man.

Lyric weighed 140 lbs. I am inclined to think that he walked them to that area, separated them, and that was the end of it.

Yes, the perp probably read that .written Nov 13 and girls found a couple weeks later.

Guess, we will know, when and if, the CODs and TODs are released, passionflower. Sadistic Psychopaths don't think as we do, nor do they interpret well meaning pleas for compassion. They have no human emotions or empathy for others ..This is disheartening.

At 140 lbs, Lyric is not what I'd call a small body. He'd have to be quite a large strong person to carry that size load a quarter of a mile, let alone both of them.

I would agree with you except I think it was 'they' walked them in. I firmly believe it was more than one perp. Maybe two or three. jmo

I wonder if there are paths through those woods to this area....since it could be a party spot..

I thought that also but somewhere in the last thread I think I read that this was the dumping scene and not the murder scene.
LE looking for 2 crime scenes?

I was thinking somethng very odd........
stranger killers like Siggs, don't care about the bodies of the deceased.
But somehow, this perp didn't destroy the bodies?
didn't put them in the river.
If the girls were killed on day 1, the perp kept them preserved.
If the girls lived til later, they had to be fed etc,
I am thinking more and more that this perp(s)
knew the girls..............JMOO

I think they've been in the park since July 13. The problem with putting them in the water is that they would surface at some point, perhaps downstream - which increased the chance of them being found.

Walking on uneven terrain with grasses, shrubbery, rocks, sandy soil, mud, etc, wouldn't be that easy IMO. Carrying dead weight with an irregular shape would be difficult too. Did the perp pack them each in a backpack, or travel with their bodies in an ATV? Did he walk out with one girl first and walk back for the other girl and dropped her closer because he was tired? Travel trails would show in the grass in either case. Prints from boots or an ATV would show in the soil unless it was totally rocky in there. In the photo with the two white 'sheets', it looks like there is a drop in elevation toward the further 'body' like a small hill toward the dried out stream. That's the reason the closer 'tent' looks so much shorter than the LE standing in the middle IMO. There seems to be a slope. The alternative could be one body was dragged closer to the water line downslope by an animal. Or one of the girls, ran away from the perp(s) and ended up where the further body is. This last scenario involves the girls being killed at this location. JMO

Maybe the perp(s) WANTED to dump them in the water and then realized that the water was way too low and they would be discovered too easily. So they were dumped at the location in the wooded area as plan B. JMO

I still can't imagine if it were the dumping scene why in 2 spots so far apart...I tend to think they were killed there...and either
1) one was killed with the other watching and the other tried to run and was caught up with or shot
2) More than one perp and possibly sexually assaulted in separate spots by different perps.

Awful scenarios, but that is what enters my mind :(

Thanks, otto. I was measuring farther back, to where the road first disappears into the trees -- and didn't notice that it continued. My bad.

500 feet is still quite a distance for the average person to carry 140 lbs, especially over uneven ground. Which would seem to point to:

The girls walked to the place where they were found
A large strong person carried them
More than one person carried them
An average person carried/dragged them, and came home very tired
A way to carry -- ATV, wheelbarrow, tractor, warthog team pulling a chariot, etc.

That is over 100 lbs of dead weight. Would have to be a really strong man. jmo

One body at a time over shoulder.

500 ft. is not that far friends.

One body at a time over shoulder.

I wouldn't think a person would want to drape them all over themselves if they were dumping them..too much contact. Unless they drowned them with bleach afterwards...who knows....I agree that is a lot of weight to carry that far...

Maybe a local to the area can help me out, but in July or August was the water level up to where the white spots in the pictures are? I know the rivers are very dried up now, but what about then?

I'm a local and no, the water would not have been up that high then. I went tubing on another river near Nashua, Iowa in late june, and we had trouble because the river was so low.

The hogs are back...

Under the rules of KISS, they were not carried in there. They walked.

Jane V-Mitchell quoted a secret source when she announced that it was a dump site, but I'm doubtful that this is true.
