:great:

That's why I'm sticking around too. Even if there aren't any breaks in the case, I'm all for hanging out and :deadhorse: on old stuff until something happens.

Doesn't bother me at all to hash and rehash the same things.

Speaking of rehashing...I believe we're due for either the paddle boat or wild pig conversation to be tossed back into the mix.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Can somebody PLEASE post the swan paddle boat picture? That gets me every time. . . :floorlaugh: :great: :floorlaugh:

You are too funny!

BBM - And, yes, this group can sleuth the daylights out of things that float and the eating habits of swine! And, I might add, never get in trouble for doing so!:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

If the bodies haven't been released, perhaps it is because LE doesn't want the COD to get leaked. If it is something super obvious like a gunshot to the skull -- they don't want a mortician selling that story to the press. That is pure speculation.

IMO, a mortician selling a story regarding a body would be cause for them to lose their license. Just a guess....

It sounds like out of the 100,000 people living in Evansdale, only 8 people were concerned enough to attend the meeting. That gives me the impression that the town is not up in arms about the police handling of the investigation.

LOL Don't know where you are getting 100,000 according to Wikpedia as of 2010 Census pop. was approx 4,000.

I'd much prefer pigs and paddleboats to the endless debates about stranger, acquaintance or family member.

I agree, we will not be getting any new leads or information til an arrest is made or charges file if the party is already jailed.

I have suspected for a long time that LE has a suspect and that person may have been already in jail for some time or is under pretty heavy surveillance. MOO

Meanwhile, I lurk, awaiting the big announcement someday.

I keep checking in and too feel they have had someone in mind for awhile. I do wish they would let us know if they have a suspect(s) or even a few POI's; no names of course. We don't even know any of the people they have really talked to besides family and maybe a few people who were at the lake or a few in the neighborhood. Pretty quite....not a peep. I don't want to feel if has gone cold, but I do worry about it.

I agree with so many of the recent posts from WS'ers from the last 24 hours or so. Holy Moley - the CV Mugshot post is now up to 248 comments!! It's clear that some people want to be judge, jury and executioner without knowing any of the pertinent facts to the case. I did not attend the town hall meeting last night, as I didn't really have any questions for them, other than Elizabeth and Lyric. And, some of you are right when you said that us locals are somewhat satisfied with the investigation. I am, although obviously an arrest hasn't been made and that would be the ultimate satisfaction, but I feel that they are doing all they can, and what I saw on KWWL confirmed that. I don't think Tony Thompson or any of the LE will forget this case. As far as his comment regarding if the killer is still out there, IMO his "no comment" spoke volumes. I don't think that Dan has anything to do with it, but I do feel that the person or people they suspect are either already in custody or are being closely watched. Keep in mind that it may not be in the BH County jail, but elsewhere.

And although I do not condone Dan's choices, I can hardly blame him for turning to drugs when his daughter was murdered. Even though he is facing many years in prison, most likely, using drugs to cope with his daughters death is certainly understandable.

Heather's comment about cremation destroying evidence I think is her own naivete. People are murdered every day and bodies are buried, cremated. How many times have you heard of a body being exhumed for more evidence?? That's usually only when they didn't suspect foul play in the first place.

Heather seems to be the voice of reason in all of this. I know some of you don't agree with her, but whatever she needs to cope, I'm all for that. We are all heartbroken about this, but her most of all. And, on top of her daughter and niece being murdered, she has to deal with her crazy family - even though she has distanced herself from them physically, she can't get away from the drama. Personally, I admire her very much.

I agree with everything you've said, however I worry very much about Heather. I fear that although she puts on a very strong religious front she appears almost TOO "at peace" with this (when it comes to public displays of emotions).
I am almost certain that she has thrown herself to her knees asking God "WHY?"...but she just seems SO pulled together and calm during every interview I've seen or heard from her it almost seems unreal to me. :(

She is the type of person I fear for the most in their own healing. I (ignorantly I'm sure) assume that the grief hasn't fully hit her yet...that she is still in some sort of haze that hasn't cleared. How can anyone stay that composed all the time throughout such a horrific event? :(

I'm sure I'm wrong...I'm sure she is NOT pulled together all the time. Either that or she is the most composed, God fearing person I've ever seen...because I just can't comprehend a mother being as at peace as she is with this.

I really do pray for peace and closure for every single person in this family...they really don't need anything else to pull them even further apart.

I believe what you see in Heather's demeanor is evidence of " ...a peace that passes understanding." It is evidence of God's mercy and grace when we have to endure heart-wrenching circumstances. He gives us peace of heart when we trust in Him. It is much easier said than done, but it works!

MOO

Heather definitely appears to have a peace (and strength) that passes understanding. I've never seen anyone else so completely able to turn things over to God. JMO

I know without a doubt I would never have that kind of peace if my child and my niece were abducted and murdered. I'd try, but I'd fail miserably.

Thank you. I am checking them out now. Anybody have any suggestions ?
I'm afraid I won't know anybody on a different case.

Dylan Redwine is one that seems to have a lot of activity. I mainly lurk there, but I've seen some familiar posters on that thread.

I read it here ... but will be more careful to double check facts in the future.

Is it really true that the bodies have not been released to the families?

bootsctr, even if you don't know anyone else, jump on in to any case that catches your eye, mind or heart.

I currently follow 5yr old kidnapped from school in PA, I have been following Dylan Redwine as well, but that one I lurk mostly, some very very staunch lines drawn in the sand over there MOO. There are so very many older cases that are not as "hot" right now that I follow, my advice is just stick your toe into any thread that seems to catch your interest.

Just don't abandon us on our girls thread ;)

Are you already following Brittney Wood's case? If you aren't (sorry I can't remember if I've seen you there) we would love to have you. I must warn you though, it is a very very twisted case involving family. Would be great to have some new eyes looking at things. :seeya:
