BBM. Can you please provide a linK? TIA.

I have no idea what it costs to "build a road", on a lake, through water, 20 or 30 feet. :twocents:

I have been there and seen Meyers lake.

And on the west side it's even closer.

Here's the link providing the estimated cost of the project. I'm assuming labor and some material will be donated based on the rough estimate, IMO. I live in this area and many people and companies have been very generous in helping out. The money is being raised through donations and if enough money is left over they will use it for upkeep. It also discusses the possibility of adding two benches in memory as well.

I appreciate that. I saw the videos. What does that have to do with the price of building a road through a lake for 20 to 30'? (per your footage quote). TIA. :twocents:

BBM I couldn't find my little man the other day, we were at home but I was busy and all of a sudden I couldn't see him anywhere. I was screaming running around the house, around the garage, down the hill, freaking out I could barely breathe and thought I was going to puke. It was less than 2 minutes since I'd seen him and it was agonizing. I was screaming his name, I'm honestly surprised none of our neighbors showed up because I'm sure my frantic screams could be heard for at least a half mile.

When I follow these cases I can't even imagine being able to tolerate the fear, stress, unbearable fright involved. I can't imagine sleeping or doing anything.

I really hope these girls' killers is brought to justice soon.

Because it is not for a vehicle.

WOw okay This happened LAST July (summer) and they were found in December (winter) last year. NO water to speak of. Has nothing to do with This spring.

And what makes you think the murderer KNEW the bodies would be found before the spring floods? Maybe he thought where he put them they wouldn't be found until spring...or even years. They weren't tossed on the side of the road, which would indicate a quick dump and run...yet easily found by passerby's. I have no idea what the killer was thinking. You appear quite confident of knowing what the killer was thinking...any particular reason why?

Thanks so much for this link. It explains a lot to me.
I have yet to see on any link that there is "official" approval or permits from the town, I COULD BE WRONG. I just don't know. :dunno:

Sorry, please forgive me, but I don't understand? TIA.

I believe it is a pedestrian bridge, not a road. Meaning there is not the same engineering involved.

A pedestrian/bicycle path doesn't have to be as wide or tall, and it can have a much smaller base. It might even be a boardwalk with a few pilings sunk to bear the weight. So it's much cheaper and less complicated.

Thanks. Then how are they bring heavy equipment there? :blushing:

Well, no, not necesarily. When my kid wandered off, I looked around for him, and the n I looked in the places he might be hiding, and then I stopped to listen for him giggling, and only after about ten minutes did I start to worry he might have wandered off. By then spouse was home and we walked through the neighborhood calling his name. By then we were starting to worry that he had wandered a little too far and couldn't find his way home, but we hadn't reached panic yet.

It is more for walking across. So it wouldn't consist of asphalt, rerod, all the major things that go into a road for traffic.

Have you looked at the pictures? It might be helpful to read the articles and look at the pictures to better understand the size and purpose of it. It appears wide enough to transport equipment across, but since it is not going to be used for regular vehicle travel, it will not require the upkeep and maintenance that a city street would. HTH

Eta: I hope this didn't come across snarky, it wasnt meant that way but reading it back it does sound that way. Sometimes reading the articles can help with a lot of the questions that tend to get posted repeatedly.
