Gah I got a screen shot but it's just as blurry as the one already posted. I want to see a date on it. Also that is a man walking a dog? That dog is freaking huge! It looks like a horse!

Eta: I see someone said its a car. It does look like a car. I'll go with that.

::rolling:: :)

I don't mean to sound ignorant, but...

...people in Iowa take their cars out for walks???

Reckon they got a trace on it? Wonder who was on the docket for today?

Hmm... I wonder if the county/state phones have Caller ID ??

Of course, even if they do, the Courthouse would have HAD to be evacuated immediately!

(And, yes, that goes for even if they knew the call originated from jail.)

Hecks yeah! They need their exercise, too! :floorlaugh: I think the car is driving by or stopped and there is someone walking behind it.

The only thing that would tie this up nicely if we saw a paddle boat zooming by in the video. ;)

Thank you Bunnyhop. Were you involved in the discussion ? I think I can find it that way.

I don't recall, perhaps yes. :seeya:

:). Too bad that we don't have an emoticon of a horse beating an old paddle boat ::grin::

pssssst! Guys! I think the girls's death involve real estate in some way. I know there are few of you don't think it was sex-motivated, so it had to be motivated by bringing a little notoriety to the area. I believe it has the potential to be quite beautiful in terms of a real estimate investimate. Just a random thought.

What exactly do you mean? Can you expand on this?

I've tried to post the link to the Fox video a couple of times but it comes up empty. If you look at the blue grey house across the street in the video it looks like someone was standing on the steps as the girls rode their bikes by.

I noticed that, too, but was not certain. :blushing:

There is a car parked on the street and people walking up behind it too.

Will you guys please fill me in as to how I can see these things?? I've taken a screen shot of it and blowed it up and still all I can see is a couple people and their shadows! Maybe I need new glasses? I even tried looking with the magnifying lense! :floorlaugh: Help!

I have never been convinced those people on the bikes are the girls. I even posted awhile back that from what I could tell (which may not be much lol) is that both of them look lots bigger than the girls would and the one almost looks like they don't have a shirt on! I think it's two males on bikes or two females bigger than L & E would be.

Yes true, however, there is a lot of discussion regarding "hunters" and the girls were found on hunting grounds.

Another theory I have is that the girls were shot by someone they knew. The killer did not want to do it, but in order to save their own butt, they had to. Save their own butt from what ???, ..... unfortunately L and E knew that secret.

IMO, the killer took the girls to Seven Bridges alive, told one of the girls to walk ahead and keep their back turned so they wouldn't witness what was about to happen. IMO, this is the reason the girls were 50 yds. apart.
MOO :moo::moo::moo:

bbm - JON LIEBERMAN, INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER: Yes, Jane. Well, first of all, thoughts and prayers go out to this family for this terrible loss. Police can`t say it, but this is a double murder investigation at this point.

I`ve been talking to police sources for the past 24 hours or so, and they stress to me that they have a lot of information, but the reason why they are not releasing much of it is because much it`s information that only the killer or killers would know, and they do not want to jeopardize the investigation.

That said, my sources tell me the following, which we can report: No. 1, bodies were not found, according to my sources, smack dab next to each other. They were found about 40 to 50 feet next to each other.

The second key point is the theory right now is that this was the dump site. That they are looking for the primary murder scene. In other words, where the bodies were found is not where these two little girls were killed.

In addition, I am told...

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on. Let`s stop you right there. You`re saying the location where the bodies were found is, according to your police sources, not where the girls were killed, correct?

LIEBERMAN: That is correct. Police are looking for the primary murder scene.

That's all I can see, too - I posted earlier that I was blaming it on my cataract!

... at age 14, a man tried to grab me and force me to go with him on a bike path near a creek. He just suddenly came out of a treed area. In my panic, I made a huge fuss and he left. It was not a particularly isolated spot but not crowded either. My 14 year friend who had gotten separated from me, would have been just as helpless and terrified if we had been together. I am so fortunate, but I did not come away unscathed. I have had to battle huge anxiety about getting lost in new locations. I did not tell my parents (though they would not have been alarmed in that era to know I was on the bike path.) Was he lurking and waiting for a victim or did he just see an opportunity and act impulsively? I have no idea. It can all happen in a blink of an eye though.

thank you for this post :) I think our innocence protects us from realizing the evilness that is lurking amongst us; and our intuition protects us and enables us to remove ourselves from most situations that make us uncomfortable. When I was 8 years old, my little sister and neighbor boy saw a man "going to the bathroom" outside, in between two buildings, near our home when they were walking home from kindergarten. I found them hiding under my parents bed; they were so traumatized at the sight. Looking back on the situation 40+ years later ... I wonder what he really was doing, was he trying to entice them? We lived in a small, rural midwest town of 3,000 people where everyone felt safe from the evilness of the world (only a couple of hours from Lyric & Lizzie). The boogieman was a fictional character seen only on TV.

After reading this letter that Heather wrote to the abductor I noticed a few things that make me wonder if either this person is a friend of the family, acquaintance, etc. It's just eery as to where the bodies were found after she released the letter to the abductor.

Heather Collins said she drew on thoughts she had posted earlier on Facebook in composing the letter. She hopes the letter could prompt the person who abducted the girls to release them, maybe in an area where he or she wouldn’t be seen.

“They can still drop them off at a park or wherever and still not be seen, because our desire is not to know them. Our desire is to get the girls back, and that is all we want… The kids can be dropped off at a park, and they can get to a house,” Heather Collins told the Courier.

Why is a park mentioned, not only once, but twice? Also noting they could drop them off and not be seen. Sadly, it sounds to be like this killer heeded her request and did exactly what she asked. :banghead:

:what: now this really gives me the creeps and I believe you are so right here!

I had to LOL today when I saw the bomb threat in the Waterloo court house today. Cedar Rapids Airport, 50 miles south, had someone try to bring a loaded handgun in their carry on. Come on people use your brain.
