Sometimes, I think the bikes may have been staged by the perp to "taunt" the family in a child-like way of sending the message "you can't catch me"!!!!
:furious:
IMO

Yes! Taunting LE too! :moo:

Killer had a vantage point. . . what is that orange thing? :banghead:

This picture is looking south thru maiden lane, the orange thing is a truck on the interstate. This is at Meyers lake.

View attachment 32215 This is in maiden lane area looking south at the bike trail thru the fence, notice the bottom of the fence. It's bent up so you can get thru.

So you think the killer had the girls crawl through under the fence to get to his vehicle?

FBI agents that worked Xiana Fairchild and Midsi Sanchez cases say that is how child abductions are. . . it is as if the child vanishes off the face of the earth. . . no evidence.

The abducter of Midsi Sanchez kept her for a few days and she escaped before he killed her. The other girl he abducted he kept for two weeks before he killed her.

Cinder, do you think the path you walked back on was there before the bodies were found and LE etc. beat a trail down? Or couldn't you tell?

Because I'm getting a vibe of an almost ritual layout in that clearing...

Its kinda hard to tell, but it didn't look too beat down. The vibe I got was plain spooky this time, it was so quiet and all I could hear was the river.

View attachment 32218 At seven bridges walking thru water to get to the site. You can see the green wreath ahead.

:tyou: cindersoot! You are the cat's meow! :cat: I'm taking two aspirin and then :offtobed: I have to process these pictures and thoughts. . . :countsheep:

Cindersoot thank you very much and please stay safe!!!:please:

On the way home I got to thinking about all the deer cams at seven bridges. I thought well what are they going to do, contact everyone that visits the area to see if they are a suspect. Then it hit me that they already have a suspect, but not enough evidence and they want to see if he visits the scene of his crime as so many of them do.

Well, yeah, but some extent all wooded areas look pretty similar. It's could be the wooded area behind my house, too.

I agree! Of course, I live in the Piney woods, so we have a LOT of pine trees. However, to me, it is more about the water. Like cindersoot feels hunter, I feel fisherman. Cabella's sells fishing stuff too right?

Yeah, I'm afraid that's going to be me tonight. Too much going on in my head...

Good point about the water. Yes, I've thought "fisherman" all along, despite Myers Lake supposedly not being great fishing. Well, when I'm not thinking about tearing my hair out....

Well.... you know who is in jail so he can't be captured on camera...I'm glad the perp was not re-visiting at the same time you were there. Okay, I'm really shutting up now! I know y'all are sick of me! :silenced:

I want to add that seven bridges is not easy to find at all. I also would like to add that once your in Dunkerton, you just go a few miles north and there you are.

Oh my goodness! Do not go by yourself cindersoot! I am loving the pictures, but I am scared to death for you!

I equiped myself with protection if ya know what I mean.

And considering the purse was simply laid down and none of the contents removed or strewn about, how would the perp have even known there was a cell phone in there to worry about in the first place? ;)

If the perp(s) was someone familiar to the family (neighbor, relative, etc) then chances are they'd know she had a cell phone and if a girl that age has a cell phone and carries a purse, there's a pretty good chance the phone is in the purse. Or..... if it was someone that had been watching/stalking/following Elizabeth, watching every step she took, for example-what routes she rode, about what times etc., then maybe they had observed she had a cell phone (even though it was apparently to play games on only, if I recall correctly) which the perp(s) may not have known it was to play games on only and irregardless, they didn't want to take a chance by bringing it along. After all, the bikes were left behind and the girls disappeared, so what is so unusual that the purse and phone being left behind??

Also, I think we discussed this part before but I can't remember what we decided or if we did: Can't you still call 911 from any cell phone even if it is not activated to make calls?? Can anyone answer this please?

Yes, as long as the phone is charged, a deactivated cell phone can still be used for 911 calls:

Like many, I think the perp was familiar with the park. But that could have
been a transient who had settled there camping for lack of any other place
to go ... then came to Evansdale on the day of the abduction and a
chance encounter with the girls at the park. But its all pure speculation.

Its too bad LE didn't have any IR capability at Evansdale.
