I am not sure I will have to ask her, but I don't remember her saying they did. Good question.

Like many, I think the perp was familiar with the park. But that could have
been a transient who had settled there camping for lack of any other place
to go ... then came to Evansdale on the day of the abduction and a
chance encounter with the girls at the park. But its all pure speculation.

Its too bad LE didn't have any IR capability at Evansdale.

Yes,I agree abut it could have been a transient type person, but familiar with the areas, Waterloo and Evansdale, all the parks/camping areas in the vicinity.

What is IR capability?

Years ago I had a friend who's husband molested her niece. There was no DNA for him because he didn't actually have intercourse with her. But there was enough of everything else to put him away for eight years. So thinking its possible that many RSO do not have DNA in the system.

I can tell you, my daughter was sexually assaulted and while he didn't have intercourse They GOT DNA and the son of a b**** is now serving 16 years with life time registration.

I wonder if people from Evansdale would be able to stir up some ideas of people who are regularly seen fishing at Meyer's Lake.:waitasec:

Honestly...I just don't see this being a kid. And by kid I'm still counting 18/19 year olds.

Seven bridges may be a big druggie hang out, drinking place, etc...but I just don't get the vibe that this is a place a kid would think of. Kids to me are way more concerned with getting caught so they are either going to just dump the bodies on a random gravel road and get outta dodge OR they are going to dispose of the body somehow in their own backyard.

IMO This person is VERY familiar with the area...KNEW where this specific location was, and had planned to use this park as a dumping ground well ahead of time.

Even though the park is not used frequently, those gates are going to be closed in the evening so I'd almost have to assume that the dumping did NOT happen under the cover of night.

This is NOT a place you'd find in the dark unless you knew it was there and had been there several times...let alone the walk back into the woods.

This took too much planning (in my mind) for a young kid to do this. I just can't see kids taking that risk of getting caught in the middle of the day...there's way too high of a chance of someone being at that park and seeing the perp with two girls.

I want to add something else. Last year, here in my neck of the woods...... there's teen hangout. Kegs and what not.

A HS boy was attacked one night while they were partying.
Perps beat his head with iron objects.

This boy was in a coma. My point is, kids party and do crazy 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.
The 2 assailants are still in jail as far as I know.

http://www.theexaminernews.com/north-salem-brothers-charged-with-assault-of-brewster-teens/

I also recall another story my son told me back in HS.
There has always been bullying and rivalries.
In the lunch room, one kid picked up a chair and struck another student over the head. He could have been killed that day.

My son was bullied throughout Middle School. He got very depressed. I took him for therapy weekly as I was very concerned. We went together.

We got through it together. He is happy and healthy now.
During one of our discussions, years later he told me:
"Mom, I got big, no one messed with me after that".

All this makes me feel so sad. I pray for our kids. :please:

Just doing some looking about to see if there's anything new.
found this:

WATERLOO (KWWL) -
If you need help in an emergency, your first instinct is probably to call 911.

It's often a thankless job for the thousands of dispatchers who answer those 24/7 calls.

But this week, those dispatchers are being recognized as a part of National Public Safety Telecommunications Week.

Black Hawk County dispatch answers over 600,000 calls a year, 10 percent of which are emergency calls.

During the past year, local dispatchers also manned the tip line for calls about Evansdale cousins Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins, a task which they'll be honored for next month.

The dispatch center in Waterloo is still one of just a handful of centers nationwide to accept 911 text messages, but that service is only available through one cell carrier -- so there's still a lot of work to do to keep up with constantly changing technology.

Black Hawk County dispatchers work around the clock to make sure when someone calls 911, emergency crews get to them quickly.

"Sometimes they do things like CPR over the phone, deliver babies over the phone," said Judy Flores, Black Hawk County Dispatch Director. "They listen to people getting assaulted. They hear it all, and they have to be able to calm that caller, and get the necessary information for them so we can get help to them."

In the past 20 years, cell phones have dramatically changed how 911 dispatchers do their jobs.

I found the youtube video somewhat odd! So, if they areexpecting all these beautiful cannas and hibiscus to be blooming I guess people are out there right now on the island planting already. Hmmmm.... seems like skeet said the area was expecting boat loads of rain and 7-Bridges looked flooded. Wonder how the island is holding up???

Dang it! I was hoping they'd bring me in for questioning so I could get some of the answers I am looking for. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Yeah, I was sorta hoping that too - just kidding! Ummmmm.... Maybe we as a group should start a fund in case 3CK and cindersoot need bail money?? :floorlaugh:

IMHO, DNA is not the be all and end all. There is other evidence.
I agree Skeet. There was no DNA on what I posted above.
The evidence was NOT DNA. :rocker:

The one thing I keep hearing when I watch these abduction shows is that pretty much the one thing that is planned for sure is the dump site! The perp knows in advance where they are going to dispose of the body.

You know, it has been mentioned, that the perp could have abducted the girls and taken them to 7-Bridges and been back in time to even participate in their search. Could they have been back in time to say be FISHING when the family arrived looking for the girls? Bicyclist says he did not see any fisherman, but someone was leaving as he was arriving. Could that have been the perps and then they came back to FISH? Could the "little boy" Aunt Tammy described as having said "been there long time" been a lure for the girls, sort of like Shawn Hornbeck?

I've caught that comment in interviews as well.

LE has stated, and stressed, this is a local, who lives among them, works among them, etc. Seven bridges also SCREAMS local knowledge. LE wasn't discouraged by the passsing of time and feel that "someone knows what happened to these girls".

I think the comment of "close friends" speaks volumes. She states they "aren't receiving full cooperation of family and close friends".

Well...we know that Dan and Misty were the family members who temporarily weren't cooperating. Dan stormed out after they accused him, and he and Misty lawyered up. After further conversations with LE, they dropped the lawyer and were then again cooperating and Misty requested that a family member be with them during any further questioning. At the same time LE came out and said Lyric's parents are not considered suspects.

So, what does that tell us?

That we know just about as much as LE and we really are on some giant merry-go-round... ??

Also going back to view old stories.

"and close friends?" :twocents:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-ffdVDLGbw

Hmm, close friends? Interesting. Let's hope that by now, those close friends have cooperated.

I'm struck again by how confident Breault was that the girls were still alive. It seems more than just lack of evidence of death, IMO.

So what would have made them so sure?:waitasec:

Bail money? Heck, I think we'd just have to storm the place and break them out!! Because with their knowledge of this case, LE would never believe cindersoot and 3CK were innocent!!:jail:

Well, that would have to be a fairly fast kill and disposal.

Tammy was there at 2:45ish per her account when she spoke to the fisherman.

Let's run on the theory this person did nothing but just take them to the park and kill them. No sexual assault time added in.

They were apparently last seen between 12:30 and 1 in the lake area.

So let's go with the abduction of the earliest time possible (per LE statements) 12:30.

Now account for the time to get the girls into the vehicle and drive to the park.

The drive is about 36 minutes per google maps. Let's go with 30 mins minimum to get to the park...probably longer, but let's do this on the fast side to be safe.

So that would place them at Seven Bridges at 1:00. Now, get the girls out of the vehicle...and walk them back to the site. That's probably 10-15 minutes minimum.

Now you're at 1:15 and at the site. How long does it take to kill two girls? Seconds if you use a gun. Minutes, if strangulation. So let's say 15 minutes minimum.

Now you're at 1:30 and headed back to the park to be seen by Tammy.

You've got 1hr 15 mins to get back to Meyer's Lake and it's a drive of approx 36 min.

Even if you take 30 mins to include a sexual assault at the scene there is still ample time to do it.

I just don't see that happening though.

I think this person took them somewhere ELSE and then dumped the bodies later at the park. :(

I just can't see the sexual assault (IF there was one) going down in a public area with 2 girls...

IF a sexual assault happened I believe without a doubt that they were taken somewhere, sexually assaulted and killed...and then they were taken to Seven Bridges later.

I wonder if they knew it was someone close from the beginning and thought this person maybe wouldn't actually kill them. Maybe they thought it wasn't really a dangerous situation after all and that although they were missing, they didn't fear for their lives???
