I still haven't been able to find JW's Facebook page. I don't know why that bugs me so much, except that he was dating Misty at the time the girls went missing.

ETA: The house located at 1218 S Evans Rd. (at the intersection of Lake Ave. and Evans Rd) belongs to JW's father, IIRC.

Way back when I first started reading this thread, I made a remark about how the person who had done this could have been someone also involved in the searches. I used an example of how firemen start fires just to look like the hero and save the day. I guess that wasn't a very good example because someone commented back to me that they thought the firemen did a great job in those hot days searching. In no way did I insinuate that a firemen did it. I was just using that as an example. I had that thought after watching the video of the vigil and searching faces to see if anything seemed weird to me.

I have always felt that the perp was involved in searches, perhaps even the very first search after the girls' bikes were found. JMO.

I also feel he probably participated in vigils, the Celebration of Life services and, perhaps, various fundraisers. JMO.

I found the youtube video somewhat odd! So, if they areexpecting all these beautiful cannas and hibiscus to be blooming I guess people are out there right now on the island planting already. Hmmmm.... seems like skeet said the area was expecting boat loads of rain and 7-Bridges looked flooded. Wonder how the island is holding up???

I would imagine that they are in the planning stages of the project. I understood from the most recent articles that the land on the Island has ravines/ditches in it (6-8 feet deep), so my guess is that the first thing they'll do is level the area. I wonder if they'll be trucking in additional soil or whether they will simply level the area as is ... perhaps lowering the elevation of the Island by a foot or so.

View attachment 32218 At seven bridges walking thru water to get to the site. You can see the green wreath ahead.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Cinder!

What a wonderful surprise to come on brd today and discover that you had been back to 7bridges and posted all these wonderful photos.

You really "took one for the team" by crossing the water in the above photo... I can't imagine that you would have packed "waders" for this adventure so you much have suffered great discomfort for us. Bravo !!!

My wish now is that one of our photo techs here could take the now famous aerial vw by media of 7bridges (the one that shows both the body site and the looped road where LE parked) and outline exactly how your picture fits onto the aerial. :please:

Fellow local sleuthers (and others who are more tech savvy than I),

There's a little, cloudy, incomplete fragment of a memory floating around in the back of my head that has been driving me crazy for some time. I seem to recall another local murder case (w/in the last 5 years or so) which involved the murder weapon being disposed of - and later recovered from - 7 Bridges Park. Does this ring a bell to anyone? I've searched and searched various queries on the internet and can come up with nothing. The perp was NOT from a surrounding small town or rural area, as I recall thinking "well, of course someone from Waterloo/Cedar Falls would think of a county park as a safe/desolate place to dispose of a murder weapon". As in . . . anyone from Readlyn, Dunkerton, Fairbank, etc. would realize that the park gets some regular use and a murder weapon would likely be stumbled upon at some time. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

TIA

That rings no bells with me, but I'll see if I can find anything about it.

ETA: I think this is what you are looking for:

The park has been used to dispose of evidence in the past. In November 2007, Martaves Keys went to the park to get rid of the gun he used to kill Anissa Schroeder and Ronald Scullark in Waterloo and burn his bloody clothing. A search diver recovered the weapon from the Wapsipinicon River after a witness came forward.

Dang it! I was hoping they'd bring me in for questioning so I could get some of the answers I am looking for. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I've been meaning to suggest that both you and Cinder keep a tape recorder handy so that, in case you're interviewed by LE, you can say "do you mind if I record this conversation?" (I, for one, am still wanting to know exactly what questions LE officers are asking in this case!)

Of course, in your case, I imagine one of the first things they'll cover will be "your nic is 3cks... so, who are the other 2? ...we'll be needing to interview them, also." :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

You're all goin down with us. ;)

Good God, if they did a computer search, I'm sure some of the things that I've googled in regards to this case would have them thinking :what:

I've got all sorts of things and links bookmarked as well.

:jail:

I'm sure they would find stuff on mine on how to make chloroform, shovel, how to make meth. . . and plenty more! :jail:

"Well, I'm just one crazy, Cinder is another, and well, the other chooses to remain anonymous...but, I'd be willing to give you that name if you answer a few qustions for me first. I'm done answering questions until you answer a few for me. :thewhip:

Oh, and FYI...I need to let you know I'm recording this so I can be sure there is no confusion on your answers." :floorlaugh:

O/T - Ty M.PA !!! Here's more from the link you provided... Is that sweet music I'm hearing?

DEVELOPING: Investigators have arrested a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing after reviewing photos and video from Monday's event, a federal source confirmed to FoxNews.com.
The suspect, who is expected to appear in federal court in Boston later today, has not yet been named by authorities. He was seen on surveillance footage that showed a young man carrying – and perhaps dropping – a black bag at the second bombing scene at the finish line of Monday's race, where two bombs exploded, killing three and injuring 176. The camera at a Boylston Street Lord & Taylor directly across the street from one of the blasts, has given investigators clear video of the area, according to the unnamed official

Wow, that was quick - when I posted my link, no one had been arrested.

Thank goodness for CCTV cameras.

O/T & bbm - Yes, I know...

Quick indeed - in my mind's eye I'm picturing all the people of Boston (who are still able to do so) dancing in the streets. Yeah, LE !!!!

bbm - Actually, at this point in time, in case they're only interviewing strangers who have shown up twice, it's our precious Cinder who needs to make sure her tape recorder has fresh batteries!!! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
