It seems like in most cases I've followed, the next step is a thorough review of the case. Often there will be other agencies (FBI specialists, state resources, etc.) called in to consult.

I'm deeply concerned that he's going to be found some months from now in a remote park, like Lyric and Lizzie...

Was his mobile pinged DYK? (if he had one that is)

I get so frustrated at the lack of media coverage for some cases vs. others. I mean...we have only had enough stuff to talk about for 15 pages here in this thread. But then look how many threads there are for Mollie. It's because the media is reporting so much more. It upsets me. Especially as someone who has an autistic son.

The very cynical side of me thinks of the Richard Speck interrogation scene from "Mindhunter" and what Holden said to get Speck to open up.

Molly is young and pretty, Jake isn't.

He's got a very endearing smile in that picture, though, and I can tell you from experience it's hard to fake a wide smile like that when you're on the spectrum. Even harder to do it convincingly. He looks really happy there, and looks like he's in some public place with a lanyard type thing around his neck. Maybe he was someplace related to a hobby or interest of his? That photo communicates so much, that this is a person with feelings and passions, but he's also more vulnerable than the next 16-year old, so I don't understand how is he not inspiring the same drive to find him and spread the word. The media must have weird priorities then.

Tuesday marks 4 month since Jake Wilson disappeared

It's hard to believe it's been four months since Jake vanished.

I thought for sure he would turn up the next day or so safe, but sadly he didn't.

How did he disappear within 20 minutes or so, with his family at home, in an area he was familiar with? This is deeply saddening. My heart goes out to his family.

Holden (and this is quoting John Douglas in his own interview with Speck, the TV show paraphrases him) accuses Speck of taking "good pieces of from the rest of us."

I think that there is a lot of press coverage over young, attractive women because that is what the many men in the newsroom are actually offended over.

I think Jake arranged something when he went to the ice cream parlour. Maybe somebody asked him to meet them later by the Creek and he has been taken. Have they interviewed staff and customers and reviewed cctv?

I think the press just want revenue so choose the stories that will achieve coverage and readership. Just comparing the readership on here between the two cases shows the lack of public interest in this one, sadly for Jake.

If he has been found in the river, they would announce it immediately without scheduling a press conference ahead of time, IMO.

Whatever it is that LE has discovered, I hope it brings a resolution to this particularly heartbreaking case.
