what if this young perp lives in Europe but was skyping with a perp in the U.S.? and the U.S. perp sent those Adidas items to the young perp in Europe (Netherlands?)

then releasing these images in the U.S. almost feels like an exercise in futility, unless I'm not thinking logically (which is a common occurence lately)

ICE agents need 'urgent' help identifying person of interest

Snipped:
In a photo, the young man is wearing a hat that "has not been released for general sale" that has "very limited distribution within North Texas." The cap's logo says, "Shut Up N Play."

I'm with believe09 & think the hat they're referring to as "very limited distribution" is a flat brim hat with the other logo from the unconstructed cap.

Hmmm... Found it! It's available on their site. I wonder when they added it for sale online.

Ok, now something we have the sku... Is it possible we could search the sku to see where it was released first?

Also, around here where I live in Jersey, the majority of the boys keep the SnapBack sticker on the brim of their hats. I'm sure it's not like that everywhere. Personally I think it's idiotic lmao. But I'm pointing it out bc this kid doesn't have the sticker on his hat, so could that help with narrowing down the demographic?

Is it possible that this guy in the poster is a foreign exchange student who was hosted by a family in the US?

  • #268
If you go to the poster at this link:
https://mobile.twitter.com/wwwicegov/status/363316661723463680

Then look at the pic on the bottom right hand corner.

Look at the bottom right corner of that pic. Notice the dark shading. It's muted and blurry bc I believe federal agents are trying to blur out identifying images of the little girl. However I can still make out her ponytails. She has two of them, curly.

Compare it to the pic in the upper right.

It's the little girl.

Also in that same picture that I am referring to above, I notice brown beadboard, or wainscoting, behind the perp.white or light colored wall above it.

I'm going to load these pics onto the computer and enhance them with lighting and reverse coloring. I'll save them, that way if the mods change their mind about posting the poster and dissecting it I'll already have them available to post here.

How many people look at the ICE site? Hardly any I bet.

How hard would it be to send this to every high school in the US?

It could be posted in the office of high schools.

Or, it could be distributed to homeless teen shelters. An easy click of the mouse, i feel

Just lurking around and found this thread. How strange is it that a person involved in what this person appears to be involved in is sporting not one, but two, highly unique brand logos. One that wasn't available except on a limited basis in a specific part of the country and one that, apparently, is a color combination of the Adidas Heritage logo line that was never sold. eta: and in capital letters.

It's almost like someone wanted him to be identifiable and locateable, yet he isn't. jmo

I talked to Adidas yesterday. They said it was an old model or a prototype. It might be sold in outlets if it is an old model or it may have been made specifically for the outlet store.

There are Adidas outlets in North Texas obviously-if it is an older model or made for the outlet stores, they would know there.

And yes, I agree that there is likely a little girl on his lap.

Are there any North Texas locals on the thread here? Is the media getting the word out??

The map I posted of the Adidas stores, I think the outlet store in Allen is the closest North and near Dallas. Don't know if that means much but it's worth a shot.

Believe, thank you for calling Adidas. I knew it was authentic bc of the sku numbers given all link to the adidas site. I'm still mad I haven't found the white one. I think it's from last year, not this year. This year they used different colors. That's just a thought, though.

I wonder if ICE called Adidas as well. If they put in the description about the cap, why not mention the hoodie as well?

Something else, I mentioned that several kids in my area keep the sticker on their snapbacks. SnapBack brims are pretty popular across our nation, but keeping the sticker on it might fluctuate from town to town. I have no idea why the kids do that, but they do - they emulate a lot of musicians & athletes that made flat brims popular. How would we even search that?

Also, and I think this is kinda weird, I just went through several Dallas PD Facebook pages and none of them have this flyer on their wall!

I'm going to make a list of the official pd departments in Dallas and their surrounding towns and cities. Maybe we can post the info from ICE on their walls.

I spoke with a guy who has worked for Adidas for a number of years-the best he could say was that it was an older Heritage model or a prototype/made for a specific market.

FWIW, I looked at the European websites because I figured that there were items made specifically for that market that werent carried in the US. I couldnt find one there either. This is what led me to the Hong Kong knock off type item or something that travels via a different distribution center than the regular corporate offices.

I think he would be found rapidly if his likeness and the clothing items were broadcast in that area-this is why I am curious about the media attention.

I feel the same way.

I keep going to his teeth. They are very memorable. Somebody knows this kid.

To me the biggest clue is the hat and Shut Up N Play should be able to narrow it down right quick. The company is not that big.

If they are offering the cap on their website and in their stores now, it will confuse things I think. :(
