The link I posted said that the hat wasn't for sale but had a limited release in north Texas. Where did you find it for sale? That might be really important info since they are basing their assumption on where this person is by where they believe the hat came from.

If you look at the URL of the pictures of the kid, it says "Dallas" in them.

So that might narrow it down since North Texas is a huge area.

While the ball cap has not been released yet for general sale, there has been very limited distribution within north Texas.

Were they given away at a special event?
