Police in Iowa need your help finding a man who was last seen in early December of last year. 28 year old Matthew S. Holett was last seen at 17th Street and Woodland in Des Moines, Iowa on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 and is registered as a missing adult with the Missing Person Information Clearinghouse Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.

Matthew is described as a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes, 6'3" tall, and 240 pounds. A last seen clothing description was not available at this time.

If he was sentenced to 5 years in 2015 for the shooting felony he'd likely just have been released from jail. When he was last arrested police said he was under the influence of drugs. I'm sad to think he's gone back to his former lifestyle and likely fell to harm. Officer says man had super human strength during arrest

One of his posters states he’s missing from Colfax, IA and some sources are saying Des Moines, IA. These two locations are about 20 miles apart on interstate 80. Any ideas?

Matt was a good friend of mine in high school. The girlfriend he saved from the fire is my cousin. He grew up in colfax but was living in des moines at the time he went missing. He just vanished. I don't think the cops are even looking for him. He did have a record but I can tell you he's a good person with a good heart that got caught up in some bad things. Something happened he wouldn't just leave and not contact anyone.
