If something like team viewer was installed on her laptop unkowlingly surely the FBI would know this when they got aces to her laptop, unless the perp scrubbed the PC the night of the crime.

If TV was on Mollie's PC, she would have known, because she would have had to allow it. And LE would know, too, because all the PC activity (including remote access) would be logged in the PC's Event Viewer.

Has it been made public at what time of day on Thursday July 19 Mollie's family went over to the house to check on her?

For in case Mollie never made it home after her jog, that would have been a very long time for the dogs in the basement to be left unattended. Has it been made public in what condition the dogs were found?

Rob Tibbetts told Fox News that he had visited the house Monday and the dogs were in “perfect condition.”
Mollie Tibbetts' father says he is putting his faith in the investigators

Watching the video I found it interesting how a trucker checks the tires mounted on their vehicle. I wonder if most/all truckers check their tires in that manner? I've never seen that before.

Probably because you've never looked. Have you ever checked the air pressure on an inside dual? Major PITA, and on a semi you'd have to do it 8 times, plus squatting down to check the other tires 10 times. And experienced driver can tell whether a tire is low or not by whacking it with a stick which is quick and easy, if one seems a little off they can then grab the gauge to get an accurate reading.

Many times while I was out and needed info on my PC my husband would remotley access my laptop when I wasn't home. I know this for FACT!

This is a different kind of remote access. Or the access settings on your PC's Team Viewer program have been set (elevated) to allow this.

I have a question. I posted last night but my post was deleted. Can someone tell me if I broke some kind of rule? I commented on the fact that the timeline doesn't make sense because she could have disappeared at any point from the last moment seen to when she was reported missing. I commented on the demeanor of her BF (suspicious, people commented on Chris Watt's behavior in interview) and how he repeatedly says he didn't remember the caption on the snapchat photo. Also, how he was only an hour and a half away yet people seem to think that was too far for him to be a suspect. Others have previously commented on this same detail.I speculated about the black SUV that supposedly was making the rounds in the neighborhood. And then I added a link from ABC about how SnapChats are not actually deleted. If I did something against protocol, could someone please let me know so that I can be more cautious in the future? (It even got a like, but that disappeared along with the post by this morning.)
LOL....I got reprimanded and deleted by Harmony for expressing my disappointment with the FBI and local LE because I was told the site has a working relationship with LE and does not want to offend LE. I'm new to this site, and have been following this MT case; but it seems this site is getting stagnant because it shuts down any thinking or questioning outside a very narrow box.

Good point. I haven't seen anything about this. If they had been left there all night, there was probably evidence of them going poo or pee in the basement.

Since snapchat is not automatically deleted like people think (What Really Happens to Your Deleted Snapchat Photos), wonder if FBI have tried to trace it. Also, the digital footprint that's left on her account would show if and when she sent snapchats.

I read that Snapchat pics can be recovered but the person receiving them has to save them for them to be recovered. I'm sure LE has the best experts on the tec side of things.

I think she jogged to her mother's house to get the car in the evening. Her brother dropped her off at the house-sit after work, so she may not often jog from her mother's house to the house-sit.

I think her end point was to pick up the car at her mother's house.
"so she may not often jog from her mother's house to the house-sit".

Bingo. This is different.
Could mean nothing. Could mean everything.

No, I haven't overlooked it at all. Duster said it was known
evidence
on both occasions. I highlighted in my reply that it was not known evidence.

But it IS known evidence. They know that her phone, armband, fitbit, earbuds, and running clothes are gone, and they know that she would have taken these items and probably nothing more on her run.

These items are evidence that she may have been taken while on her run. We don't know that this is what happened, but we know that the evidence exists.

It's beyond time for something to break for Mollie and her to be found!
Agree with the thought but unfortunately reality 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 slaps us on cases such as these :(. For many missing females under similar circumstances, if they are found the average is something like 4-6 months. Unless an unexpected break happens - which it could - we are in for a long haul here.

I have never shaken the idea that there's a connection between Delphi and Evansdale, but I do know that police have said they do not have a connection. As soon as I read about Mollie, right away I thought there was a connection with Evansdale.

I think one of the reasons that police need as many resources as possible with Mollie is that they are concerned that there is a serial killer in the area and that if they do not stop him now, more girls and young women will vanish.

My guess is that he was getting started with the Evansdale cousins, and I think he was in his 20s at that time. I think he had a familiarity with Meyers Lake because he heard stories from parents and other older extended family about what a great party spot it used to be. I think he knew about Seven Bridges Park because he spent time there for the recreation activities that were there before it shut down. Alternatively, it's a hunting area and it's a family bonding experience to go hunting in places like Seven Bridges Park. I think he is familiar with all the backroads and hunting areas in and around Evansdale and Brooklyn.

Similarity between Evansdale and Delphi is the fact that in both cases at least one girl may have been lured and she brought a friend along, perhaps thinking there was safety in numbers. Both sets of girls - one is slight and one is heavier. Bodies were found near a shallow river in a rural park. None of the girls were straight with their parents about where they were going and what they were doing. Evansdale girls were younger than Delphi girls. Big question is: if they were lured, why didn't police find a digital trace?
I do think that the Evansdale and Delphi murders were probably committed by the same perp. He was sloppy in Evansdale in that multiple people saw his vehicle (a beat-up, white, older-style Chevy Suburban or a very similar vehicle).
If we are looking at the same perp, I'm undecided about whether Evansville was where he got started. Even though he was sloppy, how many serial murderers start with a double homicide? Still, the sloppiness about the vehicle bespeaks inexperience.
I have not seen enough to make me believe that Mollie's disappearance is related to those other cases, but I certainly wouldn't rule it out.

This is an excellent article about LE strategy...by a veteran LE officer. I apologize if this has been posted before. Its worth a read, especially if you’re frustrated over the lack of info at pressers.

Why All the Secrecy by Law Enforcement Regarding the Disappearance of Mollie Tibbetts? - Lee Lofland
Thank you for sharing this article. Contains much useful information and insight. However, in Mollie's case I think LE has
carried their 'tightlipedness'(is that a real word?...lol) to an extent that has been detrimental and resulted in questioning the abilities and tactics of LE in this case.

Yes, you broke several rules. And now by restating what you said in the deleted post, you have just repeated your violations.

The posting rules are listed at beginning of each thread in Mollie's case. The first half dozen or so posts lay the rules out quite clearly.

It would be worrying if LE didn't have a strategy; the priorities are to find Mollie and protect the integrity of the case.
There is no doubt in my mind they are utilizing all tools needed in this investigation, and more. That is the one thing we can be assured of.

A "first time" killer who has been able to suppress his urges for 10-20 years, suddenly caves on a Wednesday night and decides to abduct a random jogger capable of resisting without any sign of a struggle or even attracting attention to himself? If this were his first, I'd hate to see his encore.
He could be a young first time killer, maybe early 20’s ?

Agreed.

I am not sure if I am allowed to ask this and cannot determine from the rules, so please let me know and I'll delete, but I have an off-topic question. For a case like this, when does it officially become either a cold case/searching for a body, etc? I was recently reading about Trudy Appleby's disappearance and the presumption that she is deceased. Obviously, that case is 20 years old, but with cases such as Jaycee Dugard, Steven Stayner, and so on, it is reasonable to think that many long term missing persons cases the individual may still be alive. Without someone admitting to the crime or something, when does it become a search for a body and/or killer?

Obviously/hopefully, Mollie's case is nowhere near this point, but I was just curious. I know her father has maintained hope that she is alive but I was just wondering if there is a certain point when no new information is given that a case becomes 'cold' and if this point is ever announced or the investigation just kind of trails off from 40+ investigators, to 20, to 10, to 2, etc. I am also wondering this because of the posts I have seen (not necessarily here) that have said no viable new information has come in and if that really means no concrete or reasonable information has come in or if no new information has become available to the public.

Edited for clarity :)

Was thinking last night that in order to “grab” a running (moving) target, the abductor would have had to run up to her, wouldn’t he? Pretty bizarre to think this happened...unless she was in a truly isolated spot.
The likely jogging route based on the spots where LE wants to get tips about has extremely isolated ones - specifically those that are right after her last known sighting. SharonNeedles' videos confirm this - it would be easy for a perp to flag MT down or at least pull their car in front of her to slow her and nobody would ever see. It's also possible she never heard the perp coming since she had her earbuds and was presumably listening to music while jogging. If I have the volume over a very low level when I jog, it's almost impossible to hear most anything around me.

If MT was taken involuntarily, I find it likely that the perp flagged or slowed her down. Possibly by asking for directions, can you help me with [X], etc. Something to get her guard temporarily down so perp could strike and she then had no time to react. MT is a very athletic girl who in theory could outrun a perp on foot or at least get far enough away to scream for help or use her cell phone. All indications are she had no time to do this.
