I was just thinking. I believe her school starts on Monday or pretty soon. I know someone whose daughter goes there and she is already at school, from out of state.

I would hope that might stir up some movement in this case, with activity back at school, maybe someone will remember something Mollie said or did. I guess it could be my wishful thinking school back in session would trigger something or someone.

My friends daughter was in an overseas program the last two semesters so was not actually on the Iowa campus or I would ask her for info.

You're right, the first day of classes is on Monday. Students have been moving in all week.

Does anyone know if TES Tim Miller has been asked to get involved? Sorry if it has been discussed in past threads. I can’t keep up

TES is having severe financial issues.

The media would have been on it if LE was at a particular house for more than a quick visit, imo...I feel sure that at least a reporter or two manages to keep a close eye on any activity.

What do you think that particular right-bottom red dot represents?

It does not represent WC’s, Lincoln wildlife, tlc farms, or anything with a deep river address. Which is over off 21 due south of the pilot truck stop. Your map stops at the Lincoln wildlife area at the bottom of the map.

I'm curious why the pig farm isn't a dot on the map.

It kind of is, the southernmost red dot is in the same area. Maybe LE found something on the side of the road around there. They were seen walking the ditches in that area. MOO

This information has been posted here before, but here it is again:

"This is a new arena for us. That's part of the reason we called the FBI in. It's probably pretty new to them, too," Mitch Mortvedt, spokesman for the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, told CNN. "I don't know of another case here in Iowa where we have used specifically Fitbit info."

When her Fitbit pinged at a hog farm about 10 miles southeast of the house in Brooklyn, IA, where she was last seen, police searched the area but found nothing, Mortvedt said."

Everything We Know About The Disappearance Of Iowa College Student Mollie Tibbetts

The red shirt that was found has nothing to do with Mollie.
There's nothing more to say about it.

Thank you for posting that. I have long thought that she was taken by someone she knew, but this would suggest leaving the Brooklyn area so now I don't know what I think.

Exactly. I suppose it represents those parcels of land that fall in the circle. There are a few different owners of the lands which fall within that circle. Now why that particular area has been chosen by LE as points of interests....I have no idea.

Not that I necessarily believe this, but what if it was a business vehicle in question? That would put every employee and the company's rep under scrutiny.

Yes, and...

That's okay. The map, and point number 5, represent significant points of interest in the disappearance of Mollie. Point 5 is where the signal "pinged". That ping area is within a couple of miles of Guernsey, where police searched farms. If I have time and can find the cell tower map again, I'll map the towers in relation to Guernsey. That might solve this mystery.

I am not going to pinpoint any of the farms that were searched near point 5 on the map.

From July 31. "Neighbor DC, a retired maintenance director for the school district, said he was interviewed by investigators who told him that data from Tibbetts' Fitbit showed she jogged past his home that evening and made it home from the run safely. He said investigators told him she was doing homework on her computer later that evening." Mollie Tibbetts search: Boyfriend's brother says scrutiny directed at his family unwarranted
This is so confusing...One minute her Mom says she didn't make it home and now a neighbour says they were told she did.

I guess the question a lot of us are asking is why there isn’t a circle where we know they searched multiple times on 21 below the wildlife area. This area is really no where near the 5th dot on a grid plot. It is an outlier area to the cluster presented.

I am way behind, and catching up. A few threads back, Meem (sorry unable to load) posted that he/she read about a Creep, holding a woman hostage in a Container, out in the bush, on his property. I also read about this.
The woman was chained, raped repeatedly for days.
The Creep had murdered her boyfriend and buried him.
Several other bodies were also located.

I would think, all Vans, Containers, Sheds in the bush, near the fitbit's last signals, have been investigated.

We do know that other farms besides WC's land was searched. It was reported that LE spent several days searching farms in Guernsey/Deep River area. There were reports of divers searching a pond on these farms. So maybe the red dot land was some of the originally searched areas? Or maybe not, and have just recently become points of interest.

How far from that area (5) is the Big Bear area, or the area where the creeks or rivers are where they were searching?

Yes, there are conflicting reports. Her mom's is the most recent, FWIW. Mollie had her jogging clothes, Fitbit, phone, and earbuds with her.

If police have identified a suspect, they are not going to sit back and hope the suspect leads them to Mollie. They will speak to that person immediately, just like they did with the pig farmer.
But would they have enough to arrest/accuse him?

Not far, Big Bear Creek is just North of the circle 4.

I guess they searched that area several times and don't need any tips from the public.

The dots on the map are significant in relation to Mollie's disappearance, and police are asking for tips about those areas. They are not asking for tips about places that have been searched or that are not on the map.
