I do. She could have been abducted while jogging even when her roommates were at home and they probably would not have been concerned if they didn't see her until the next day. She did sometimes sleep at her mom's house too.

My compliments to the sleuthers suggesting LE might want people to identify that they were in those 5 areas on Wed night so they can narrow down who was there (and seek out anyone who does not come forward).

This is a logical way of tracking a perp down, if a vehicle and perp were in fact involved.

Also, I don’t think the tweet or the events at the library are significant (unless it plays out that MT disappeared willingly and that tweet reflected she had a fixation on missing persons, which is an incredible long shot). BUT I do appreciate the people who are exploring less likely avenues related to that. The truth is, we don’t know where Mollie is and while I soapbox about how it is usually the simplest/most likely explanation, reality is there are exceptions.

I would kindly suggest that if you don’t like what someone else is exploring, you just scroll and roll. Find a comment you do like and reply there. Bring up a better idea then. Good ones tend to take off and steer the discussion elsewhere.

It’s likely that all of us sometimes hone in on a topic that others get tired of hearing about. But hopping on to insult someone who belabors tweets or shirts or maps or cameras or FitBits or phone pings etc. only discourages people from doing what we are here to do: which is turn over every stone until someone discovers the missing thing that will help lead to Mollie’s safe return.

It was an honest question, hoping for an honest answer.

No offense meant. It's just the best info that I have gleaned after 30 days of following this story. I went to school in Iowa a long time ago, and learned a lot about making those kinds of assumptions about farmers. In New Orleans, I once worked with a Medical Resident, a quiet little, unassuming guy. I did him a favor or two, and he was always saying you must come home to Brazil with me for vacation, we will have a great time. A couple of guys took him up on the offer. It turned out that his family was FABULOUSLY WEALTHY, and they had a great time. When I look at WC, I recall that story and was only trying to communicate such to you and yours. Sorry.

claire_parker, the fair didn't start til the 9th of August I think it was. But I do think for some reason she went back to the house and got her red shirt. But I can't figure out a scenario that explains WHY.

The Poweshiek County fair was going on the week of Mollie's disappearance, I assumed that was what claire_parker was talking about.

That being said, Wednesday the 19th was just move-in day, there wouldn't have been anything going on to attract anyone to the fair unless they were showing livestock.

Now I see what you're saying.

But the problem now is that either the car was parked along the road next to the cornfield (these roads really aren't that lightly travelled, chances are it would have been noticed if it were therefor more than a couple of minutes) where it would have been conspicuous; or that it was parked someplace where it wouldn't have attracted attention and the perp carried or dragged her to the cornfield.

It's totally possible that she was assaulted and dumped in a cornfield, but if that happened I just don't think it was anywhere near Brooklyn.

There was a fair the next day that Mollie and co-workers were taking a field trip to with the kids from camp. Staff and kids too (I assume) were supposed to wear red shirts for this.

Could the perp have left it somewhere and walked towards an isolated area he knew that Mollie jogged past? Was he hiding and watching for her, waiting to grab her and subdue her?

Did he hide a bicycle somewhere?

zencompass, WOW!! I didn't think of that. Maybe he was waiting in the cornfield. Maybe he hid his car somewhere else. Maybe he left MT right there hidden in the cornfield. Maybe he walked away on foot or took a bicycle back to his vehicle. Maybe he even traveled through the cornfield (on foot) to his vehicle where he wouldn't be seen. Then he went back later when it rained to take MT to another location where she wouldn't be found.

I hope I don't make anyone angry but when I first saw a picture of Mollie I couldn't believe how much she looks like Jodi Arias! Does anyone else see the resemblance.

I agree. Tho it may be hard to determine for sure who sent it from that location, depending on how tight their timeline is.

They haven’t said and you’re right. No way to know until they have the “who.” But I do feel that the NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) concept can often apply to a perp. Even just a few miles can make a difference when an individual with this mindset sets out to commit a crime.

It also makes sense to me that all local vehicles that might have appeared on security cameras have been identified - which wouldn’t be hard to do in Brooklyn. Remaining unidentifiable vehicles are not from Brooklyn, but any vehicle venturing off Jackson St / Casey’s / Business District is going to be at least somewhat familiar with Brooklyn.

I don't disagree with this, but there is also a fairly good possibility that her attacker knew her, knew she was alone that night, and knew her general running routes. She would have been far more likely to enter someone's car willingly in this scenario, and the loud screams or "odd-looking" circumstances that would typically accompany a small downtown-area stranger abduction wouldn't have occurred. And we haven't seen any neighbors or passersby report any screams or unusual circumstances in the news or otherwise thus far, and we would have to assume that something so disheartening would have been leaked by now.

The car wash won't accommodate a semi with a trailer, simple as that.

But couldn't you pull into the lot and wash down a semi-tractor (the part that pulls the trailer) with the high power hose? Those bays are enclosed for the hard Iowa winter, I'll bet the hoses are long enough to reach over-size equipment parked at the end of the bay.

I wonder: if she ran the night before this last run, and if it was the same route/time. if they have the fitbit data from the night before or previous runs.I believe I read that her mother said she varied among 3 routes. Were those routes scheduled on set days or just by whim for the most part. If someone who lived among those routes became familiar with her schedule. or even a stranger (or a visitor) was in town the previous night (maybe near the car wash..or wherever she passed) followed/observed her and came back the next night similar time. Cased the area/roads. Could've asked her for directions. Could've distracted her in some way long enough for her to stop. whether they were acquainted with her or just observed short term, I have the feeling they were prepared for the opportunity, including a place to take her and it wasn't a spontaneous thing.

This means that all communication from Mollie stopped while she was jogging, not at the house-sit, but while she was jogging. Speculation should include the fact that she was last seen, or disappeared, while jogging.

Otto, I've agreed with nearly all of your posts & perspectives since I've started following these threads. I actually look forward to finding your posts ...but: I think this quote from LE could be interpreted in a different manner as well. I can easily substitute the words "at that time" with "evening hours" rather than "while jogging". ... "Molly was last seen jogging in the evening hours and there have been no credible sightings or communications from her since that time." So that time could mean a more generalized time of in the evening hours.
That being said, the only scenario I can envision and discuss here is that MT was taken while she was away from the house but I could see scenarios where she returned to the house and left a second time. (For instance: she steps in dog poo and wants to change shoes before going to mom's, she needs to stop at the house for homework or even a personal hygiene item before going to mom's, or perhaps she even gets something in her eye and needs to return home to change out and soak the contacts she has in before going to mom's or completing her run.)
