I feel so sad for this family just looking at her twitter she seemed to be a sweet and caring person. One tweet a month before her disappearance said:

I went through that interchange this morning just as the news came out. There was a police SUV stopped on 380 northbound with lights on but no other LE presence that I saw. There’s no unusual LE activity on I80 between Iowa City and Des Moines either.

Was there an accident there?

If LE spent their time dispelling rumors (which is like a pandemic virus spreading), they'd be doing nothing else all day every day, 24x7. They just do their work, which is what they're paid to do, and gather information and evidence.

You seriously think the police should monitor Websleuths, Facebook, etc. and keep pointing out the BF wasn't involved over and over again, instead of finding her?

And if it was up to some people around here, they'd have LE post everything they know... including who they suspect and don't suspect which would be a nightmare. And anyone who confessed, could later recant if there wasn't enough evidence, and just say they heard it on TV.

Let's let the professionals do what they are good at. The rest of us need to be respectful that maybe we aren't as experienced or smart are they are.

Yes, totally! The entitlement factor of the public, because they learn about a case, start following it, get emotionally attached, and think they should be told everything by LE and investigators, as well as consulted for their thoughts is rampant. It happens in every big case where there's a crime committed.

That wouldn't really jive with the "found near where she went missing" report, unless you look at it on a global scale.

She did own 1 or more red shirts, that's not a lie. LE never connected her or said anything about looking out for a red shirt. That's all on the public.

it has been in the back of my mind from the start but it was not an overwhelming thought

In the last thread I wrote about how this happened to my dad and he was imprisioned for it. I still maintain that it is a possibility.
