Grinnell, most likely, at the Sheriff's department.

Just to point out - at this point we don't know if an arrest was made. I'm not sure sleuthing recent arrests is warranted. It's probably a TOS violation.

They are doing a bad job of employing the public's help, but maybe that's not what they needed. They have recovered her within a month. If they successfully determine what happened and catch a perp (if there is one), then job well done, it doesn't matter if it didn't go the way you wanted it to.
There was only one way this was going and it went that way. If you follow stuff like this you already know. Recovering a body faster makes the investigation a lot better.

Get where? We don't know where her body was found.
They said near Iowa. Or some speculate they meant near Brooklyn. Seems a little far ,no?

Heartbroken for Mollie’s loved ones. And for us, as we’re grieving alongside them.

They also needed the publics help or they would not of put out 5 areas of focus and asked for tips 3 weeks later about it.

You seriously think the police should monitor Websleuths, Facebook, etc. and keep pointing out the BF wasn't involved over and over again, instead of finding her?

This is about Mollie. This is not about you.

That’s exactly what the hell LE does. Are you kidding? That’s why at every presser they announce all the social media rumors don’t help. Get real.

More likely to be bad reporting.

We don't know the how, where, or why of the recovery. It's definitely not clear that engaging with the public would have been better.

Greg Willey, the vice president of Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa, says a body found Tuesday is believed to be Tibbetts.

No information has been released about where the body was found.

Willey says a nearly $400,000 reward fund for her discovery will now become a reward for information leading to the capture of any suspects.

Would imagine they are giving family time to reunite
That is what I think - if they found her (and if it is her) this early morning - he would need time to book a flight back to Iowa. I'm just so sad about this.

People can sleuth whatever they want to. They simply cannot put out a name

The public is the eyes and ears, they just need a direction to use it.

If there was an arrest, where would that holding or detention center be for this case? jmo
In Iowa, that would be where the scene of the crime was found, i.e. body or the suspect confesses to where the crime started; in both cases, the county where the crime transpired.

Source? At the press conference LE stated that DNA testing would be required to positively identify the remains which might take a couple of weeks. I don't find anything online suggesting that the results are back.

That doesn't mean that they weren't 100% confident that the remains were Jake's, just that it wouldn't be official without formal ID.[/QUOTE
Right. Not “officially” dental should be quick though.

RIP Mollie. Everyone I work with has been following this story. We're all devastated.

Fox news just broke in and said that Rob, her father, has confirmed that it is for sure Mollie.

Chances are she’s been dead the entire time.

And I can bet the media is in the midst of a feeding frenzy.

My deepest sympathy to her family and friends. I hope the community can begin to heal.
