Well....he understood Volkmer's english!!
This poor girl is going to replay this over and over and over in her head.

It's the Daily Fail. Not saying it's out-and-out fiction, but the inaccuracy of its reporting is notorious pretty much the world over.

There was not a change of venue in the OJ case. The charge was filed in LA County, and that's where the case was tried.
I just looked it up. In the OJ case, the venue was changed from Santa Monica to downtown LA.

It's not a good idea to quote a post that violates Tricia's instructions that are clearly posted at the beginning of this thread. It makes more work for the mods.

To what post are you referring, please? If it is one of mine, I will delete it.

I'm not sure that a change of venue would make any difference in Iowa.

Is there a big difference in the demographics in different counties in Iowa? I would assume that the news coverage would be similar throughout the State. JMO

Both Santa Monica and the City of Los Angeles are in Los Angeles County.

So it looks like Mollie was killed on the 18th.
The community was at risk too.
Yes we were, and that makes me sick.

To be fair, they were already at risk...but what could LE possibly tell them, except to use caution? If LE had said “yes”...what would be different? And seeing how LE did not know who they should be scared of until after the 20th, not sure what good it is ever to say “yes, you are at risk” when they can’t say from what or whom...jmo.

It may not make a difference as the case has generated so much attention. If this were an case that was only reported on locally, I’d expect a change. I’m skeptical that it will be granted here because of the same reasons you are.

I don't think I'm referring to any of your posts.

I wonder if Mollie fought back and that's what really made him mad.
Wasn't it her brother that said she was a fighter? And that she would have fought back.

RBBM

Excellent point--another poster mentioned this upstream, too. Hopefully, we'll get an answer when the trial starts.
I really doubt this will come up during the trial. It's not relevant.

Unfortunately many of these attackers use the sex act as the final “release” of their rage...even if it was not the original source of it...jmo

Both Santa Monica and the City of Los Angeles are in Los Angeles County.
It was still classified as a change of venue, for some reason.

Something interesting I learned on another site. MT, and her brothers were facebook friends with CR girlfriend and his girlfriends sister but not with him.

This thread is moving quickly. Is this gossip? And/or your opinion?

If so, please say so.

If not, please source/link. tia

If she could have. Many of us consider our ourselves “fighters” but one does not often get the chance to fight when attacked unawares. And there are some who believe an attacker who claims they will let them go “after”. No one can be classified based on response to a life-threatening situation. Jmo

I can imagine! Their wording was so careful with their keeping things close to the vest while people were in actual danger. I know they worked really hard and did a great job, but some would have felt safe because of what they said. This cannot continue.

they talk about the fb friends being pointed out and put together by some one on here. it's on ws radio, MT. not sure about yours, but a link is on the top of my screen for the podcast

I don’t believe his blackout/memory block story in order to minimize his assaulting of her. If he lifted the trunk hood and noticed some blood on the side of her head why would he just assume she was dead? he didn’t say anything about trying to revive her give her CPR or call 911 why would he just assume she was dead because he blacked out? and how does an earpiece remind him she was in trunk? His blockout memory story is ludicrous. He had over 30 days to come up with this. If not for the Video footage he would gotten away with it. I hope the man who turned it in gets the reward money.
Bam! My thoughts exactly!
He parked, he jogged, he jogged next to her, she ran, he chased her. So, how far AWAY were they now from the car.
I don't believe him!

She very well may have, and lost to a stronger, angry man. I wouldn’t be surprised if she had his DNA under her fingernails. Regardless though, as you say, a life threatening situation changes everything.
