There is speculation if a mix up of the auto they were looking for.

Black SUV vs Black MALIBU.

SEEMS POSSIBLE.
The reason I ask is I found out today there was indeed a Black SUV driving around town later that night. I’m only confused because I guess both the vehicle and identity of the driver (both totally unrelated to the case) were known all along and wasn’t really kept secret at all. Yet today is the first I heard of it?

maybe he accidentally listed his alias birth year? 1994 or 1997, egal, he's still not a minor and will be tried as an adult, so I don't see how it makes any difference.

Maybe it makes a difference as to his age when he entered the US? Under 16 so not responsible for illegal entyr? I'm guessing here.

<modsnipped quoted post>

<modsnipped response to removed post> I would assume that he's paying on the Malibu, so maybe he didn't bother cleaning inside the trunk if only he had access to the car. Yet, when LE asked if they could take a look, he had no choice. He knew they'd be back for a warrant if they didn't have one already and see the blood in the trunk.

If it was his car, I bet he tracked down and/or bought a new liner and took care of it, if needed.

may be just the start of what we don't really know about him. there is just so much potential for anything we think we know to not be as we think we know it.

Big question is who bought the car in their name for him

why did anyone have to buy it in their name for him?

seems to me he had a work around for many things. I think he just simply bought the car. maybe used a alias name.

John Budd? :)

Makes me wonder about the Nissan even more. Maybe that was his old car. Maybe LE wondered why the Malibu had an old Nissan liner cut to fit in the trunk and the Nissan didn't have a liner. JMO...me going off about that d*mn Nissan again.

Radar Online has an article about this. It's interesting but probably full of bull. I'll link if anyone can't find it. One part says his year of birth is 1997, not 1994. Can you find that on the new document?

The court portal shows a birth date of 6/11/1994.

You would think he would know his own birthday, but the government has it down for 1994. He has been living a lie for awhile. Maybe he can't keep his facts straight and 1997 was when his alias was born. I guess he'll have to re-submit a corrected application if 1997 is wrong? I think we'll know his real age by the trial, anyway.

This is why I think the Nissan is related to CR and they are being towed together. On the map, A is the location of the photograph, and B is the Poweshiek County Sheriff's office. I suppose it could be getting towed to the Sheriff's for another reason, but it is curious nonetheless.

I do think it is connected. no way in a case like this would it be just a add on tow for unrelated issue. moo.

I agree it had a police escort, I can’t even imagine them going on a second run for a car not involved

sure most people get insurance. and that would require a id. a bank finance would likely check for insurance. I'm not so sure a we tote the note lot would. I also am not so sure he would be concerned about being legal. also the issue of fake id, do we know he had no DL in any name or just that in his legal name he did not have?

I was thinking the Nissan is his car and the Malibu was borrowed (IM?) idk The Nissan had gravel road dust on it.
