I think the psychologist might be overthinking things ^^^ here.

The student that described BK's new grading system seemed too have a better explanation for why the students were suddenly getting 100s for all assignments----the student said that BK wasn't making any notes or corrections so he probably wasn't even reading any of the papers or essays. He was just quickly writing 100 on each one and could be done with it quickly. He was obviously distracted and the student said he appeared to be exhausted.

True.
I was also thinking that it was a type of PASSIVE/AGGRESSIVE response. An ‘ all or none ‘ attitude.
All my opinion… speculation of the possible line of thinking..,
BK: Fine if you think I’m grading too hard then I’ll show you, I just won’t even look at them!

As a retaliation of sorts for his humiliating treatment when confronted about the complaints.
