Mad Greek released a media statement that BK visit to Msd Greek is fake news
I didn't think People.com was even a news source.

Either way it wouldn't have been necessary to stalk the victims in a restaurant or on SM if BK drove past that house 12 times. He could have decided that was the house he was going to target as early as August.

So far that is the only connection we know of that BK had to his victims. There is no evidence he ever had any contact with them until the night of the murders.

Let’s first contemplate the sweeping ramifications of this:
The amended order also prohibits any statement that is not a direct quote from court documents, and specifically calls out a number of specifically prohibited types of statements, including “any opinion as to the merits of the case or the claims or defense of a party,” and any statements about “evidence regarding the occurrences or transactions involved in the case.”

but that could apply to attorneys like DeBar saying wtte that the Prosecution's case is not strong.

as for sweeping ramifications, what's the population of Moscow or the next likely town to hold a trial? IIRC Moscow had about 12k student pop & similar 'local' resident population. ( If the current level of media attention was maintained all the way through to trial, wouldn't it get difficult?)

I’ve also seen it pointed out that one of the “Good Vibes” signs would have been in his field of vision right before he passed DM’s room, and if it was on, the brightness would have temporarily impaired his vision as he walked past her. I believe he either didn’t see her, or he was tired and more concerned with getting away and out of the house.

If he was aware of DM’s presence, he may also have been worried about the noise level in XK’s room and afraid that DM had already called police, or was currently on the phone with police.
IMO, she is lucky to be alive. If he had seen her, she wouldn’t be. JMO

I guess I missed this information about BK.

Is there a confirmed diagnosis regarding OCD?
There's apparently family members and/or MSM reporting that he has it, but I haven't personally seen these sources. There's too many people that use "OCD" to describe people who may not meet all the criteria for an official diagnosis, so I'm reserving judgement until more information comes out.

I think people have to stop assuming there was some big blood frenzy at the inception. Some victims will have been stabbed under their bedding.
Victims are largely horizontal and distant from the perpetrator. The blood flowed later.

The perpetrator may have had one small droplet. No blood on shoes etc.

Looking forward to the material facts at trial
I thought the same until the search warrant was published. The application for a search warrant mentioned a significant amount of blood, including blood splatter and cast off from the weapon, which led LE to believe that the clothes and shoes of the perp would contain blood evidence. End of page 19.

I guess it is still possible that he didn't have transfer because of blankets and positioning. Maybe the shoe print was because of the struggle downstairs and the fact he had to retrace his steps exiting the room where maybe the knife had dropped blood on the floor while he was entering? JMO

You may well be right and if you are, IMHO that judge is on a very shaky constitutional ground. How in heck does losing your daughter or son to a monster reduce your First Amendment rights as well?!

<modsnip - discussing moderation>
Your right to free speech, like ALL rights, ends when it impinges on someone else's right(s). One absolutely has a right to free speech, but not at the expense of curtailing justice for other victims and society at large.

New gag order….

If the attorney shares information with the victims family,

and that family member shares that information with a friend,

and that friend shares the information with the madia,

will that mean that the info that is shared from the media to the public should be reported by the ‘media’ as:

‘ OUR SOURCE (…friend of family)OF A SOURCE (…member of victims family) OF A SOURCE CLOSE TO A MEMBER OF THE VICTIMS FAMILY ( … attorney of victims family)’ ?

OPINION, I’m just thinking out loud.

The amount of fake news and rumors surrounding this case is discouraging.

It makes me question virtually everything that's reported.

I think he saw her but she was irrelevant to him if his mission had been to kill 4 people and he had attained that goal and knew it.
Safe enough seeing him when he was dressed in black and masked.
No need to kill her.

Probably because he believed he had the privacy to do it at his parents house vs in a parking lot for all to see.

I’ve done many cross country road trips. There’s always a big clean up of the car once I arrive home.

MOO
His dad did drive back to PA with him? If you have been in a car after a road trip you usually have to clean it and unpack. He could have cleaned up the car before going to PA too. If there wasn’t anything bloody or suspicious and a parent was okay driving with him either he was tidy before getting into the car or did some cleaning. A road trip both before and after can provide an excuse to clean.

where was that quote from please?

PEOPLE has also confirmed, via an investigator familiar with the case, that law enforcement is aware of the restaurant visits and that investigators have interviewed employees and owners of the Mad Greek. They have also collected surveillance video from the restaurant and surrounding businesses.

Kohberger followed all three of the female victims, Mogen, Goncalves, and Kernodle, on Instagram. However, none of the girls followed him back, according to People, who claim to have seen the account before it was removed.

According to People, Kohberger messaged one of the three female victims repeatedly two weeks before the slayings, per an investigator. After no response, he continued messaging her.

"Basically, it was just him saying, 'Hey, how are you?' But he did it again and again," the source told the publication. "[The victim] may not have seen them, because they went into message requests," says the investigation source. "We're still trying to determine how aware the victims were of his existence."

Would you please cite what you consider to be information shared by family memebes that would affect a trial? I honestly don’t remember anything of that nature.
The comment I made was in relation to the likely source of the leaks since the family attorneys were added to the gag orders.

I consider any confidential investigative info leaked to be something that could impact this entire process. LE is working tirelessly to put all these puzzle pieces together to create the timeline and finalize their theory of the crime. Having portions of that investigative info leaked for no reason other than curiosity of the public hinders that because it can influence potential witnesses who may not have even been contacted at this point.

It can creates a witness credibility issue especially if someone you need as a witness spoke to the media or were influenced by media reports prior to interviews. Now every media member will be relentlessly seeking out anything and everything to do with the Mad Greek. Some may avoid cooperating since they will now be plunged into the media spectacle.

If there were 600000 cars on the road. And 10 Elantra's were amongst them. Then the difference might be a little harder to stomach.

But combine this with his other visits to Moscow, his car leaving the UW campus, his phone being turned off, his DNA at the crime scene, his car returning to the UW campus and any doubt in the traffic camera and cell data is squashed.

A reasonable person is not going to think that all of those things I just stated happened by chance.

Jurors don't acquit on technicalities like this. ESPECIALLY when you have corroborating evidence.
People forget that the prosecution will present a narrative of events that will be thicker and tighter than the probable cause affidavit. There will be DNA, and possibly (probably) more of that than we know now. There will be an eyewitness description of someone about that size with "bushy eyebrows." There will be whatever is on his computer and phone in terms of message and writings, probably going back to his undergrad days. Maybe a Murphy hair! There is the fact that the Suspect 1 vehicle doesn't have a front plate. And all of this will be presented in a cumulative way, if the prosecutor is effective, to show that BK was driving around that house at the time when the murderer would be approaching and after. That he went back only a few hours later before the police were called. Dots will be connected. And some of the "battle of experts" will include the people smart enough to connect the dots to arrest this guy as well as experts who will talk graphically about what happened in that house. The DNA will put his knife sheath there. And him.

I do question most everything that is reported so I take it all with a grain of salt--- that is what social media has done to the world-- it is pernicious and toxic in many many ways

I don’t think the order prevents family members from talking, it prevents lawyers, police, investigators, their clerks and associates from feeding them inside information.
I also don’t think anymore inside information is being shared with any attorneys that are not assigned to work this case as it is now prohibited [without authorization from the court = extrajudicial].

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED:
1. The attorneys for any interested party in this case, including the prosecuting attorney, defense attorney, and any attorney representing a witness, victim, or victim‘s family, as well as the parties to the above entitled action, including but not limited to investigators, law enforcement personal, and agents for the prosecuting attorney or defense attorney, are prohibited from making extrajudicial statements (written or oral) concerning this case, except, without additional comment, a quotation from or reference to the official public record of the case.

AMENDED NONDISSEMINATION ORDER
