Interesting info I came upon long ago but couldn't post it. Search Jessica Mitchell Birch here. https://www.idcourts.us/repository/partySearch.do Summons on 7/08/2015.

If not allowed please delete. Thanks.

If this kind of thing is allowed everyone should take a look at the filings under Jessica Lyn Birch in Bonneville County. Violation 12/7/15, released 12/15/15. They kept her locked up for a week for driving without privileges. That

I said I would be back when there was news. Many of us suspected the parents and were actually in FB groups with JM and DK. Nothing they ever said made sense. Many people tried to help them and there was never a thanks or response on any proactive ideas. It couldn't be discussed here plus any time anybody even looked sideways at the parents, it became very uncomfortable. I said many times I was here for that helpless baby and I still am. I believe when DK was hauling up the road to supposedly call 911 I believe he was taking care of the problem then. I think he gave the excuse of calling 911 so when records were checked he would have a reason to have left the campsite. All jmo

If that were the case, wouldn't they have found Deorr? I think the trip to Leadore was to get rid of the Problem..or when the bad things happened. A dirty crying baby who wont shut up sometimes gets abused by parents with short tempers. just saying.

Oh my God, I just saw the latest news! The parents are officially suspects. At last!! We all knew it was coming (well, most of us)...

I know, no arrests or anything yet, but I feel like the investigation is moving along at last now. Justice for Deorr!

Yeah, I can't believe that this was premeditated. It is sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. Even if it weren't, or they weren't involved, the chances of a case like this being a "random abduction" were slim.

If it was the parents (and that seems very likely), they are bound to crack under police questioning. I hope the boy is alive, but it's been so long that I don't know how that would be possible without the police catching them.

Is that possibly an outstanding medical bill? Just wondering..

Could be. Nothing I saw indicated what kind of debt it was.

LE locked up someone for a week for driving without a license. US is turning into a fascist state.

Have there been searches anywhere in that area besides the campsite?

Can I just say, now that I'm allowed, that Vernal and Jessica have behaved in a most disgusting, dishonest way this whole time. I have thought they could be innocent of foul play (and they still might be), but it's been obvious all along that their focus has *not* been on finding their son. It doesn't mean they killed him, but I've thought all along that even if they are innocent, it's obvious they weren't committed to finding their child.

Just remember what Jessica said the most difficult thing about the whole situation has been - the criticism on social media. And she actually cried as she said it, although she's never managed to squeeze our a tear whilst discussing DeOrr's disappearance. Social media criticism is all they've cared about all along, not finding DeOrr.

Now how long will it take for the parents to hire attorneys I wonder.

The most likely scenario is that he died that day because of negligence due to drug and/or alcohol use, they panicked, and disposed of him, knowing that they would be charged. Whether GGP and IR are even aware of what happened..I just don't know. It's hard to believe that a very recent acquaintance (IR) would lie for them if he weren't involved somehow, but, then again, he DID get a lawyer. So, who knows? Maybe with his limited intelligence, they convinced him that he was partly to blame and needed to cover for them. I guess intentional homicide is a possibility, but, without knowing the family situation and dynamics, it is hard to say. It is hard to believe that someone who really loved their child could do either one..kill intentionally or hide their negligent death so stubbornly without cracking.

Exactly! Let's also not forget passing up a $10k reward to find Deorr where they didn't have to put up a cent of their own money.

FYI Only...
Before the proverbial chit hit the fan, earlier this morning I had just finished transcribing a video where the family's 1st PI, FV, clearly stated it was a $20,000 reward...

Greetings, all. So...I just became aware of this case. Which means I have 15+ threads to catch up on. Gah! Read for hours last night and will tonight. I normally like to get caught up before I jump in, and I've been reading from the early threads as well as trying to keep current on this one. Therefore I fully admit I don't know what has and hasn't been discussed. I'll also say this case has the most carefully chosen and enigmatic wording I can remember seeing in any case. Double Gah!
What I wouldn't give for a Cliffs Notes on this one.

Here's a quick summary:

He fell in the water.
But they checked the water.
Yeah, well, they missed him. It's happened in other cases.

A mountain lion got him.
But there was no evidence of a mountain lion.
Aha, that proves it was a mountain lion, cos they don't leave any evidence.

:p seriously, we haven't been allowed to say anything casting doubt on any of the 4 adults at the campsite at all, or discuss anything that was said on social media, and the thread has been really strictly moderated for that, so we've just been chasing our tails for most of the 15 threads.

Just got a breaking news alert from KTVB that the parents are now suspects.

Finally .....

This hurts my heart. Poor little baby.

  • #434
I don't really understand why it has taken LE so long to official name them suspects if their story has been all over the place......

I hope this now convinces any witnesses to come forward without fear, for Deorr.

They'll have to have another fundraiser first!

Yes- I will say that I have seen her in person out & around Idaho Falls. Cold, almost oblivious, not actively looking for a missing child. At the time I told myself that if I had a missing two year old I'd have to be loaded on every sedative there is to prevent myself from running in circles like a lunatic, so maybe that is what was going on, but after a few Facebook posts, a few more interactions and the ongoing bizarreness of the stories I lost any hope for happy endings to this story. I'm pretty sure that week in the clink got her sobered up and she might have just tripped over her stories. All my opinion of course.

Thanks for your local perspective. What "week in the clink"?

That's what I'm wondering. I believe one is more culpable than the other and I would think a lawyer would advise the person less guilty to come clean & try to make a deal, wouldn't they? Also there was a rumor that the two had split up and if this is still the case may seek separate legal advice perhaps.

Does this mean that LE did not suspect the parents until the FBI came in? If so, how much evidence did they miss? Also, the sheriff sounds a little lenient. How many opportunities are you going to give people you think are guilty? It makes me think he thinks that either Deorr is still alive or died accidentally because I can't imagine a sheriff having that attitude if a little boy was torturted. "I thought I would give them another opportunity to tell us what happened"...Okay and if they had confessed, then what? He's making it sound like the whole thing would be forgiven if they just ~told the truth.

I've felt like there was an accident from the start. Hot car death, tbh, seemed to fit (other than the fact that the dogs and police could find no evidence). I thought that because his blanket and monkey, early on, were reported to have been left in the truck -- and it was naptime. Generally speaking, police do not charge for hot car deaths unless there was gross negligence, but they may not have known that. Still, at the end of the day, it makes me beyond sick (and not a little angry) that his little body, if he is indeed dead, has been left exposed to animals and the elements for all this time. I don't care what I may be facing as a result of something awful like this -- I cannot imagine leaving my baby out there to rot like a piece of trash.

*all my opinion only*
