Anyone see Trinas comment on Klein's page? She doesn't know what the press release is about and says neither does Penner.

Ms. Clegg - you again are misleading people or at least not getting the correct information. Last night an email was sent to all Law Enforcement advising them of what we were going to say. The email was sent directly to Sheriff Penner and all law enforcement contacts. We as an investigative team stand United for DeOrr Kunz, Jr., and urge you to have your daughter stop playing games and tell the truth to us or law enforcement. You have been directly advised by both LE and our staff of the many stories your daughter has said - yet you continue to not only make crass statements - and seemingly set up a wedge in our opinion. You cannot be a Pollyanna and then treat this case different in the media. It is that simple.

An interesting comment from BB a couple minutes ago on Klein's press release post.

Good to know he's following along and not blindly supporting like some family members are. I think it speaks volumes actually....

Bless him, he's been very dignified throughout and now he's in an unenviable position of worrying about his own kids. I don't know where the law stands regarding access to a parent who's a potential murder suspect, anyone know?

I can't imagine being in his position. How terrible to not be able to trust your children's mother and to know that when they're with her they are in safe hands.

Well that was a huge kick in the nuts.

As much as this news darkens my day, I'm not going to give up hope. I won't wait for Vernal, Jessica, or GGP to come clean but someone close to them will eventually spill some useful information. I also imagine living as a pariah will not sit well with Issac so unless he has criminal involvement he might suddenly remember some more useful information.

I will keep searching and following as I think that truly is helpful. If little Deorr isn't allowed to fall too far into the shadows LE will continue to try and actively solve the case. I also have hope that Klein asking others to review his findings might lead to some more leads.

My husband has the day off today and finally noticed the distant look on my face. He doesn't like to hear about the cases I follow. They bother him. They bother me too but I have the curiosity of a journalist, he doesn't share that interest. But he sat and listened as I explained Deorr's case and what happened today. It actually made me feel better. I have stepped outside the fog that I was in an hour ago and I realize if I remove the "cold case" part, that the rest is actually great news. A full review back to day 1 and starting over. Fresh sets of eyes adding their input. This could be good. I don't expect much new in the terms of physical evidence, but if they can find enough holes in the stories they may get something good to confront the 4 adults with. (*we need a group name for referring to them*)

Let's all try to push aside the negative and send all the positive vibes and good karma to KIC as they try to tackle this puzzle again.

And Klein also said they "want to explore 'secondary areas' in the lower Leadore, Idaho area based upon the master timeline and distance studies we have done".

ETA: Now I'm wondering why they didn't explore those areas before declaring it a "cold case". Could there be some strategy there?

I don't think Klein would choose to do anything for no reason that didn't benefit this case or him directly. Why reach out to the media about a cold case?

I would think he could get their visits supervised? Maybe he doesn't want to involve CPS but my assumption would be they would already be involved in a case like this... or "should be" involved...

I thought Deorr Jr was the victim. His siblings are safe & their welfare will be subject to extra vigilance.
Klein has done tremendous damage to the immediate family & beyond through his bluff & bluster. Reducing the investigation to a cold case shows what little evidence he really has.

Really? And what is the family doing....? Nothing...if they really cared about him they would be going national, etc. They would be coming forward working with investigators, doing everything possible to find Deorr. Klein seems to be doing a heck of a lot more then them.

I'm positive Sheriff Bowerman naming Vernal and Jessica the only suspects in what he believes to be a homicide was the most damaging blow. Klein has just given us a glimpse of what terrible liars and actors the parents are. As I'm sure you know Klein isn't LE so it's not up to him to bring criminal charges. We can all hope (most of at least) that the police eventually get enough evidence to get the guilty parties in court where they belong. I bet the stenographer will quit mid trial if they have to transcribe Vernal.
