I know it's somewhat of a glitch that causes my needle to stick on that particular part of the record:)
Words and such are heavy to me.
Mom's irritated switching of her foot @particular times during DK's talking, but maybe it was because he did most of the talking.
IMO if she wanted to talk she would have spoken up.

Well I've never quite heard it put that way , my needle sticks in a few spots on the 911 call.

I don't know, these days I so rarely get my hopes up when some sort of "bombshell" is promised by the media. For me it's usually better to assume it'll be "psychic goat leads investigators to site of purported alien abduction.."

What do you mean? I hope that it is an article that at least has the basic information, leading up to the disappearance: who, what, where, why, when and how. It will be disappointing if it is vague or just talks about the PI's theories of abduction and how is going to approach his investigation. I hope that it includes any FBI findings and doesn't just reiterate the current state of affairs as left by the sheriff.

I most certainly would like to have all of that information and then some reported, I've just grown a bit pessimistic. :( That wasn't to comment on the integrity/capability of anyone involved with the case or the local media.

And therein lies the rub imo. The parents have made it clear from the beginning that they are following what's being said about the case. Certainly they were aware at some point within the past several weeks that it has been reported that they arrived on Friday and that there has been heavy speculation as to the discrepancy on sm (which by their own words is very important to them). They have had plenty of opportunity to correct this information if they so chose; thus far they have not. Their silence on the matter could be for several reasons:

1) MSM incorrectly assumed they arrived Friday, the parents kept silent because for some reason it benefits them or someone in the camping party for it to be believed they arrived on Friday instead of Thursday;

2) the parents themselves were untruthful and told MSM that they arrived on Friday when they actually arrived Thursday;

3) the parents told MSM they arrived Friday and that is the actual truth, they arrived Friday.

BUT if #3 is the correct answer, then we are forced to wonder why JM's own mom would state that they arrived Thursday (still sm rumor at this point) and also wonder why their own PI would infer that they arrived on Thursday. SOMEONE somewhere is either very mistaken or being evasive/untruthful. IMO.

I would like to know if they made any stops on their way from IF to the campground. If so, it is possible that the stop/stops might be the reason for the sensitivity regarding the disclosure of the arrival day/time. IMO.

Thanks! I think those are indeed the three possibilities. Any one of them could be the truth. I would add to #3 that, in that case, the PI was either wrongly informed, confused or misspoke in that he implied they arrived Thurs night.

#1 and #3 could be inconsequential in the scheme of things. #2 would be very hard to reconcile. (Assuming it's not #2.)

I hope for an actual accurate timeline along w/some new info but I don't really expect any FBI input yet.
This is just so frustrating and extremely sad.
Maybe it was avoidable, which makes it even sadder:(

I have a feeling this might be a propaganda piece.

It could simply be an article rehashing all the info we already know, I really don't know. I'm hoping there will be important new info.

I am still bewildered hearing the PI's account of a man at the store staring enough at the baby to make mom uncomfortable.

Unless he is putting his own spin on a very brief and not really as notable of an encounter as he makes it sound like, why on earth would that not have been brought up by LE or the parents in the interview? Especially given that the parents are grasping at the abduction possibilities.

I realize that his role is to try and uncover any and all possibilities but I just have to think that this encounter has been exaggerated by the PI. To think anything else would mean a pretty important lead was ignored early on and I just don't believe that happened.

As a parent, I would be going back to every single person that I could recall being near my child that might has shown any odd interest in him and bringing it to LE and the public's attention at the very first report of my missing child. Anything to get my child back.

I wish, starfire. but I highly doubt it.

IMO (JMO), there's no new info on purpose. MOO LE is trying to figure this out and they haven't a clue...

French fries, candy, Thursday, Friday, campsite, campfire, cowboy boots, black truck, stage shop, monkey/blankie/cup...the more extraneous information from the family and PI, the less actual facts we have. it's JMO but so much of this is simply hearsay and fluff.

posted a few pages back was a very good point...in the initial interview, DRSr was asked about 'arriving friday' to which he responded 'I don't even know what day it is' (paraphrased). excellent pickup by said poster.

IMO we're all being given the run-around...big-time. by all those involved, LE/family/MSM et cetera. which brings me to the same place we were on so many other cases...ground zero. nowhere.

Sorry but I don't expect much from tomorrows article. I am usually an optimist but this time a pessimist.

I think the article will clear up a few things the newspaper might have gotten wrong and will sell a lot of newspapers because of the subject material.

I think anything substantial will come from the Sheriffs office or the FBI when an arrest is made in the form of a press conference.

MOO of course.

My prediction is the new article will raise more questions than it answers.

The scent dogs would keep coming back to the camp with the truck being there because his scent would be in the truck. If his blanket and other things was there his scent would be on it too. Even if he was never even at the camp. jmo

That's what my point was yesterday. His scent would be on anything and everything that he touched before even getting to the campsite.

I hope this is OK to post. There is a comment on the East Idaho News FB page confirming the Thursday arrival. It is in Visitor Posts section, as a response to a question. https://www.facebook.com/EastIdahoNews

ETA: I know the person that asked the question, but it wasn't me.

Well that's kind of strange. I just went over to http://www.eastidahonews.com/?paged1=2 to read a couple of the previous stories over again. I have been there a couple of times today and everything was right there.

Now it's all gone. Hummm...

Well thank goodness LE confirmed it. Now the question remains where did the conflict of information originate?

I fear that this PI is making things worse for the family. Everything is so "wishy washy" ......just give us the facts. How could the facts hurt this case?? It bothers me so much that the parents are quiet. In Boise, this hasn't been news for quite sometime
As a parent, I don't think I would ever stop doing interviews. If they think he was abducted, I would want his face on the news every single night. Trust me... we don't get a lot of big news stories here in Idaho so there is plenty of air time.

Also, my husband and son just returned from a 2 night backpacking trip (they were about 2 hours from Leodore) and I commented to both of them that they were "filthy" and to go right into the showers. It is dry and dusty here and they both had layers of dirt on them. I would expect a child to be dirty or filthy from camping .... tears and shot would make them look even worse.

BBM: I think that's where the uncomfortableness is coming from. When someone you care about goes missing (and I am in no way proud to say I have firsthand experience) nothing else matters--rumors, reputation, employers, even being scrutinized by LE (I would have completely risked being arrested for something if it would have allowed me to be accurate about something that could be relevant). You're on a single-minded mission to find that person. And I can't imagine how that feeling would be amplified it were your child. Holding back information, not clarifying information, being evasive, focusing on things irrelevant to finding the person when given the chance to speak to the public, would not be coming from the instinct of trying to help people help you find someone. IMO.

Also, I agree that dirty (or even filthy) is a fine thing to be on a camping trip. Not sure why that word is such a hot-button!
