It wasn't intended to be snippy! I apologise if it came off that way. I just know that for folks who aren't in the church, there is a lot of weird, and are a lot of secrets, and is a heck of a lot of jargon that is hard to understand.

I have all of this stuff that got crammed into my head until I got old enough to say 'no thanks', and I'm just trying to share that, because it might as well be useful for something. It wasn't intended to be rude, and I deeply apologise if it came across that way.

Please ask anything you want, if you have questions. I consider myself a resource on mainstream LDS stuff in this case, not an expert on any of the rest. I have seen the nexflix special, but I have not read all the threads or any books or listened to any podcasts. I am useful in this one specific way, and that's it.

MOO
Sorry if I seemed snippy... I only objected, because as indicolite chimes in above, the sole reason why I bring it up in the first place, is because LORI told (aka "tried to alibi herself") to CHARLES, via the statement "I am spending ___ hours a day at the temple"... which Charles in turn admitted (aside - as do I!) that he is a heathen who doesn't know enough about LDS to determine if that is plausible... which in turn begs the question:

if Lori indeed isn't doing that, then what in fact is she doing? AFAIK we have no idea, and nobody else has ever hinted anything otherwise... only perhaps "spending hours a day dancing in her mirrored studio"; but again, if and assuming that Charles was WFH during this same time frame and he was the one asking the questions; then clearly Lori wasn't doing that... and Chad wasn't anywhere near town/AZ to the point where she could have been literally spending time with him... then where is she for the whole day, if not at the temple?

If she's at the temple all day, what is she doing if not "simply dwelling in quiet contemplation, aka obsession about her fantasy world"?

Can she kaffeeklatsch instead? ...

Do LDS women meet there just as a social center/daycare?

I wonder if John Prior had to enter the courtroom ticket lottery too.

In your opinion, what did Lori do at the temple for eight hours a day, almost daily, if she didn't work there?
Contrary to what Iamsgadow21 said, temple is a place for contemplation and communion with God. It is also a place learning. You go to the temple to participate in “ordinance work” which are sacred religious ceremonies. If you want an accurate idea of temple work, there’s a YouTube channel called Saints Unscripted. They cover all topics LDS and are a more accurate source than the anti-LDS stuff that is so prevalent online.

Typically, when you go to temple you are there anywhere from one to three hours depending on what ordinance you are participating in. Attending temple daily and eight hours each day is very extreme. Not really sure what she was doing that whole time. IMO.

Do we know the male female ratio of the alternate jurors? I know it's 10 male/8 female overall.

I'm multi-tasking this morning. Watching the Leticia Stauch trial and following the Lori Vallow trial on here and on Twitter.

I'm multi-tasking by reading tweets of early morning Louisville Ky shooting (5 dead, more injured), reading here, and checking my pantry for "what are we having for supper tonight" ideas.

Interesting the jurors walked in with notebooks. No one took notes on the Alex Murdaugh trial

Alternates will be picked before deliberations start

I'm not sure the alternates/main jurors are picked until the end? I could be wrong, but I thought they would be picked out of a hat.

TY for your alternate point of view.

I have no real drum to beat except, well, Lori clearly did have responsibilities to some people; and for Charles at minimum, I grant that he could only know what she told him, but it certainly seems like "what she told him" was "I spend all day at the temple and this is normal"... and even with Tylee and JJ in school, eight hours is excessive; and will clearly and literally also require Tylee and/or Charles to babysit JJ for hours per day at minimum, so yes, again, I ask "where was Lori"... driving around all day like someone who got fired yet pretending they still have a job, drinking coffee at every Dunkin and Starbucks and sitting in every library and diner in town for 2-3 hours/day, seems unlikely without any witnesses or testimonials; but not I suppose impossible.

Maybe Melanie Gibb will have some light to shed upon these divots in scheduling.
