No disrespect but I just looked and JJ was 7 when this happened and was wearing night time pullup diapers according to todays testimony. Makes me wonder how much abuse he was experiencing and how it was impacting him.

JJ had Autism, was premature, and has drugs in his system at birth. I don't know if this was part of the reason for the nighttime pull-ups.

Lindsey Blake claimed today that it wasn't the first time that Lori tried to get excused from the court proceedings.

My mistake, I had no idea. I feel horrible for bringing it up, thank you for explaining. I'll pop back out now.

exactly plus every child is different and developing in their own way

What is Lori’s response to her daughter being reduced to flesh and bone in a bucket? How can she say her “religion” is okay with this? What a monster!
IMO, I feel certain her religion was just a convenient cover for her greed for money. Monster is right!

A plea OR she's suddenly decided it's time for drama.
Drama is more like it. Maybe revealing the bodies affected her more than she let on. The jig is up. She can't suddenly plead incompetence again... and she isn't going to heaven.

Stay. His medical history was brought up a long time ago. It could also be that Lori didn't work with him on nighttime training.

He was autistic, not too unusual.
But no doubt if LVD identified him as a Zombie she wasnt doing anything for him, like night time training. MOO I bet Tylee was though.

I wonder if Alex wore protective clothing when he was handling the bodies?

PD says there were Tyvek suits (full body PPE for chemicals/hazardous material) in the closet, and a plastic tub. One of the photos shows two Tyvek suits laid out on the floor. #LoriVallowTrial #LoriVallow
@KSL5TV

A Haloween mask, duct tape and rope were also left behind in Lori's (or was it Alex's?) Rexburg garage. Did they plan to kidnap someone?

Probably the duct tape and rope were for the children, IMO.

IMO if I were JP, I would be advising my client to take a plea bargain.

Unless of course, JP can use this trial to say that his client would not get a fair trial. He’s a slippery you know what.
How do y’all feel about Prior attending Lori’s trial? I have my reservations.

Remember…CD didn’t want a speedy trial, and Prior said he needed the time to go through the voluminous discovery sent to him….but guess he has time to spend in this long trial figuring out what is in store for his client.

Wonder what Boyce feels about that.

Is Thomas defending Lori or Chad?

Thomas says when the search warrant was going on at Chad's he says you can't say for sure where he was looking when over his shoulder? Hermasillo - he was looking at the tree. Thomas - we can agree to disagree #LoriVallowtrial
@LawCrimeNetwork

IKR?

That phone call could be spun as Lori sweetly sitting in jail while believing Chad and Alex hid the kids someplace alive.

Thomas was going somewhere asking if the detective thought the camo suit was Lori's- if the guns and ammo were- emphasizing her lame alibis-

I would think Lori cluelessly asking, "Call you later?" and seeming not to get the message that the search was outside plus Chad sounding confused by the phone call idea and well aware that outside is bad, combined with Chad's guilty escape attempt, reinforces it.

But maybe the strategy is to blame everything on Alex. Lucky Chad, if that's the case. But I think blaming it all on Alex is even less believable than blaming it on both the men.

maybe the pull ups were so when he went to bed he did not have a reason to get up and interrupt the grown ups?

That's not unusual for children his age-

It takes a mature neurological system to wake the body up before urinating- takes a lot of typical, full term kids till 8.

Depends on the kid and the parents to deal with it by:

-waking the kid up a few hours after they go to sleep- probably a bad choice for a kid that is hard to get to sleep

-getting used to changing the sheets a few hours after they go to sleep many nights

- night time sleep diapers

MOO

I wonder if she will attempt more drama as the trial continues... feign an illness (either mental or physical), or fire her legal team mid-trial and insist on being referred to as Queen Darrelly Brooks?!

You might want to read up on JJ's background and developmental condition.

Edited to add: Sorry, I just saw that others have chimed in on this very thing.

At least she can't pull an Elizabeth Holmes and get pregnant to delay everything.

Chad faces the death penalty. Prosecutor may not agree to a plea.
IMO the State of Idaho would 100% agree to life in prison without possibility of parole for Chad Daybell as a plea bargain. It would save the State of Idaho a boatload of money.
