For those who believe the Bible, teaching of false unbiblical ideas can beget and be used to try to justify great evil; it says: "... in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons." That is what has been occurring here imo, and the depravity and evil we are seeing is the result.

In their doctrine, killing was ok only for people like Chad and Lori who were self-proclaimed leaders and elevated beings. Lori compared herself to figures from Mormon scripture (like Nephi) who had justification to kill.

Bruises on the upper arms could mean that he was held down.
