Yup.

These text messages could be the "smoking gun" for murder conspiracy convictions.

I think you are spot on. Everything we put in a text can potentially jeopardize us, be used against us so to speak. And on SM.

Be very careful. I limit my social media comments under my real name. Not that I am a jerk anonymously, but I just try to be extra careful. Life is different now.

Yes. I have the most boring social media pages. Benign pictures of the cat.

I wish he would do the right thing for his kids sake and for the rest of the family and after this trial, I would think that he and his attorneys know that he doesn’t have a chance of a not guilty verdict. But I do not expect him to do the right thing. I expect him to blame AC and even LVD and say he was framed by them just as his daughter said after he was arrested. I expect him to go kicking and screaming that he’s innocent rather than admitting what he has done.
He can't get past his public declarations of eternal love and desire for Lori loooong before Tammy died.
And increasing her life insurance the week before. rookie error#1.
oh...
and the kids buried in his yard.
The text to Tammy about the racoon in the pet cemetary was the stupidest move he made.

Funtimes!!! chaddy.....

No matter,
he foolishly can waste a jury's time...We'll watch:cool:

Yep. Lori's many texts and emails are beginning to show an explicit, ongoing conspiracy in which people are to be gotten rid of, that was in place and pursued over many months and in which those people then were made dead. Lori's own words are showing knowledge of and participation in that conspiracy.

Once she is proven to be part of the conspiracy, then who did what murderous acts (and whether she got her own hands dirty or not) is no longer an excuse. What any of them did, as part of that conspiracy, is on all of them.

The noose is now around her neck, and tightening.
Yes, based on today's texts and testimony I would now convict her for conspiracy in Charles's murder. I am still somewhat on the fence for the others but that is mainly because I am anticipating seeing additional texts on Monday that seal the deal for me.

So far, she might slide on Tammy's conspiracy. They are not finished yet, so I might change my mind. 50:50

Smaller chance: She might slide on Murder 1 for Tylee. 65% conviction chance IMO.

Smaller still: She might slide on Murder 1 for JJ. 85% for conviction IMO. The hair might mean a lot. That JJ was in her room and the strange stuff about whatever M and D were reporting make his case seem stronger to me.

99% chance of conviction on everything else. Conspiring 2 murders and the grand theft charges.

MOO- subject to change as the trial continues. Everyday there is a bombshell!
ZP testimony the circle of praying for Tammys death the day of the failed shooting.
That means the others can back it up.

compelling and profound. IMO for conspiracy to Tammy murder

From the evidence released so far, in your own opinion, what are the chances of Lori getting convicted of the 3 murders?
MOO…

I’m fairly confident that she will be convicted of the murder of Tylee & JJ and not just the conspiracy. I’m also pretty sure if she is tried in AZ she will be convicted of the murder of CV.

I do not have the same level of confidence regarding charges of conspiracy to commit murder of TD.

I should add that this may be more of a reflection of how I would vote if on the jury than it is of how I expect the jury to vote - it’s hard for me to really imagine them not voting this way but as someone else pointed out in this thread the OJ and Anthony juries did not see what many of us observers thought was proof beyond reasonable doubt so it’s hard to know what a jury might do.

Does anybody remember the text Chad sent Lori about..... (wish I could remember the specifics)

To the effect of he hated having to go back to his normal life and family, he felt like a hobit under the stairs or something?????

What a kick in the teeth to his kids who have stood behind him their whole lives supporting his delusional idiocy.

The Daybell children need lots and lots and lots of therapy. I hope they are already getting support.

I remember, believe it was a Harry Potter reference to living under the stairs

How did Chad know that none of his followers would tell Tammy about his prophecy that she would die before she turned 50? Some of those people were in contact with Tammy on a regular basis.
How do we know that they did not? In MOO I believe that TD was battling depression in her last months or more - not just a mild depression but a deep rooted one that caused her to lose sleep and withdraw from her family by going to bed earlier and earlier. I had thought that she had probably read CVs email about CD’s affair and that caused it but perhaps one of these people did tell her that CD was telling other she would die before turning 50. We really don’t know how much she was aware of regarding CV’s words or actions or even his distorted religious views.

I have always believed Lori was there for every murder, including Tammy somehow.
Look at the text exchanges with Charles’ sons after he was killed. She is cold and calculating. I also think killings gave her a thrill. Look at how she sits through the autopsies with no emotion but smiles and chats with her attorneys.
Odd that you would post this today…it’s the first day that it has even occurred to me that she may have been there with AC in that church parking lot waiting for the right time

Interesting thought.
She was smart enough to alibi herself hard for Tammy's death though.

Out of state...both times.

Arizona for the attempted shooting and Hawaii ?? for the actual killing.

Wow! She tried to pretend as his death was all a mystery to her. She is pure evil!

Wasn't Lori in Hawaii when Tammy died?? This twitter-reported trial is really messing with me... I thought there was evidence showing this. If so, the only way she could be with AC when Tammy died, was possibly via "portal" (lol)

I’m loving your post. For so long, you didn’t see the prosecution as proving anything. I guess they really have so much, just laying it all out, and dealing with those cult members testimonies, was a nightmare.

Thank you. It's true that I previously noted the lack of solid evidence of LORI personally doing the murders. (Did I see proof of Alex and Chad personal actions? Sure. Suspicion that she too might have done some of it? Sure. But certainly not proof.) And the evidence of an actual conspiracy seemed mostly (if not entirely) circular. The prosecution put her in the vicinity of murders and murderers, but I felt actual proof she knew beforehand what they would be doing was assumptive and sketchy.

But today, that changed, because Lori's own personal texts and emails have begun to show her up to her eyeballs in an explicit, ongoing conspiracy where people were to be gotten rid of. She herself talked about it, plotted, made plans, and that's in her own words, in writing. It linked her to Chad and Alex, in real time, as they worked through the logistics of removing "obstacles" to their desires. Most importantly, those people then were gotten rid of in due time, by her literal partners in these crimes.

I'm anxious to hear more of this exhibit testimony Monday, since today they only got as far as the summer of 2019 essentially. But I've already seen enough to be convinced there was an ongoing conspiracy of evil.

[SIDE NOTE: It's hard to keep track of the cast of other characters, and who said and did what, and when. But as all this unfolds, it feels like there must be real evidence that some of these others were conspiring as well, in the pursuit of their own piece of money and power within the group, based on their knowledge and actions as revealed in all these texts and emails. We'll see later if LE agrees.]

That conspiracy makes her just as guilty as them in whatever they did. IMO She indisputably both planned for the murders to happen, and knew in advance.

I'm still not convinced she personally murdered any of the 3 in this trial, but since she helped to plan them, that wouldn't make her any less guilty.

I've been following this case for whatever, like 3+ years and to again look at some of the charts/scales and hear some of the beliefs by the witnesses just blows my mind. The person next to you at the grocery store probably think they live part time on planet Xelarvis. And they're just thinking, you're just too stupid, you just don't get it.

These jurors are being fed years worth of info to process in say 6 weeks. Sitting around on Cinco de Mayo trying to wrap their heads around this case. Tacos...not just any tacos. Satan tacos...Not just any satan tacos...the ones you send and store in Antarctica.

I will say, I got a good laugh at JA. Reading it in text format was funny...Hearing the actual audio had me absolutely rolling.
"She says she believed that Chad had been an apostle of Jesus in a prior life. Chad told her he had lived “multiple” lives over millions of years. “He was regenerating as all these great people, right?” Archibald asks. “Yes.” Audrey says. Chad never said he was a “loser” in the 1700s – he was always someone great, someone cool."

yes thats why ZP MG AB DW etc testimonies are ditsy.
Because they all have guilty knowledge of varying degree and they all participated in the goobledee gook.

Just sad and shocking that humans can be so gullible and so cruel all at the same time.

It does feel wrong that these fools will not be held accountable for their dangerous beliefs and endorsements.
But we see how important their confirming what we suspect is and at the end of the day these folks will be a part of sealing Lor's fate.

And I think that is because it would make no difference to her culpability. At the time the murders were committed she knew what they had done was wrong.
Mental health + explicitly spelling out being taken advantage of by Chad probably would have saved her life. She wouldn't do it, per speculation and rumor and hints from her attorneys.

Yet, her attorneys achieved the same goal by hammering discovery.

Now, I don't think mental health would help her much. Maybe if she were very lucky could impact sentencing (such as to a secure hospital instead). But I think any claim that she was not able to form intent would be easily debunked. She would have to just garner sympathy for being groomed and controlled. It's a stretch.

Once death was off the table, there was less for her to gain with MH defense.

MOO

Excellent point. Thanks. I'm bumping convictionto her conspiracy from 50 to 60%

Am I confused? If I understand correctly, there is no such thing as a "mental health" (or insanity) defense in Idaho. Idaho Code 18-207 says "Mental condition shall not be a defense to any charge of criminal conduct."

So I don't understand this back and forth debate over her not choosing such a defense, when one was not possible at all. Am I missing something?
