I really believe these charges should be reversed...

Charles died, Brandon did not.

*AZ – Charles Vallow (62) shot & killed on July 11, 2019 in Chandler, AZ. *Lori Norene Vallow (46/now 50) indicted (6/24/21) & served (6/29/21) & charged (10/2/19) with 1 count of conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder. Maricopa County

AZ – Brandon Boudreaux () attempted murder on Oct. 2, 2019 in Gilbert, AZ. *Lori Norene Vallow (46/now 50) indicted (2/24/22) (but not served yet) with 1 count of 1st degree premeditated murder (per court site) on Oct. 2, 2019 in Gilbert, AZ. Bond at $1M. Maricopa County

For Brandon's case - the only one in the AZ court site has the 1st degree premed murder on it with the date as 10/2/19. Seems wrong to me....

Thank you, @Cindizzi , for the updates, and what a great job by Kaitlyn Hart! A worthy reporter on this case in Nate's absence.

If Archibald really thought there was reason for a new trial, he would have tried to show how any one of their issues would have changed the outcome. I realize a motion for a new trial is primarily about preserving things for appeal and that most motions for new trials are denied but this wasn’t much of an attempt. It was very much like the defense in the trial itself - just going thru the motions without any real effort on behalf of their client. If anything, it would seem to give more fuel to an appeal on the basis of ineffectiveness of counsel. Not that I think that argument will fly either because new counsel would still have to show there would have been a different outcome and in my opinion the evidence that LVD is responsible for the deaths of Tylee & JJ is overwhelming. But I do think the defense could have done a better job at attempting to present a defense in the trial or an argument for this motion for a new trial. None of this makes sense to me - other than it was an excuse to add more billable hours to the tax payer’s burden - what a waste of time and resources for the court and the state!
