According to Nate Eaton, KW will deliver a victim impact statement in person at Lori's sentencing, while SS will send in a statement, but not be physically present. Tammy's sister SG stated that she doesn't want to see Lori again, so she's likely not attending the sentencing either.

Interestingly, judge Boyce, prosecutor Wood and defense attorney Archibald will be joined in another upcoming Idaho trial where a man was killed and a woman injured as a result of a home invasion.

I wonder if Chad's son GD will be compelled to testify at Chad's trial to establish that Chad was lying about his account of the events on the night Tammy died? Or would he be able to avoid testifying, like MBP did at Lori's trial?

LE didn't get any data on the location of Chad's devices for the night in question. Does that mean that he didn't use any of his phones to communicate with Lori and/or Alex?

Yeah... that is really interesting.

Garth did testify to the Grand Jury, right? That testimony should be known to the prosecutors and the defendants. Even if the facts could be established another way, prosecutors may still find G. testimony especially credible to the jury, since I imagine G. face will betray all the conflict and pain in giving unfavorable (to his father) facts. Or, if he's evasive and "forgetful," the jury will likely assume he'd remember/share favorable facts more Fluidly, thus fill in the blanks less favorably.

It would be crazy to learn something as bizarre as Chad using an adult child's phone to contact his co-conspirators.

I hope Tammy's family feels that she is getting some justice. I hope Tammy's children find peace in spite of all their losses- without having to rely on fantasy or denial for too long.

Upon hearing Adam tell the Lori and Summer story with Lori "turning the other cheek", I thought... I bet Lori didn't waste too much time making Summer eventually "pay" for that 2nd slap. jmo

I watched the Silver Linings podcast and I didn't hear that part. Do I need to go back and listen again because I wasn't paying good attention, or is that in a different video?

eta - oh sorry I've just seen there was a HTC video too.

I should have specified which source. I haven't listened to the SL podcast, yet. I am curious if there's interesting new insight shared.

I'm almost finished watching the HTC video. I don't think there was anything different in the SL podcast, except a list of the subject titles planned for some of their future episodes. I found myself wishing it was longer than 30 minutes, the first half was mainly explaining why they are doing the podcast. They are inviting suggestions for content for a few surprise episodes, and aim for them all to air by sentencing date.

Yes, it's a bit of a puzzle. My own opinion, for what it's worth, is that he is just not very bright. In fact, pretty dumb. But because he could spout huge chunks of scripture, he managed to fool most people.
As to whether he believed his own version of religion, I'm not sure. Maybe he didn't to start with, but as you say convinced himself. A lovesick fool? Pure evil? A gullible religious nut? Yes to all three, IMO
He's a persistent plodder with delusions of grandeur, IMO.

I kinda want to bash SL for being rather arrogant- dudes are not at the Point Where they can look back with significant insight into themselves. But I will probably listen to them all, anyway.

In the second episode of the Silver Linings podcast, Adam states that at first Alex laughed at Lori's notion that Charles became a zombie but just two weeks later he was completely on board with the idea. Alex will be the topic of the next episode. Adam believes that, considering how Alex led his life until then, the cult was an easy way out for him.

Can someone fill me in on this? I don't have a Twitter account, and these tweets won't open for me any more.

Thanks!
Sorry. I had heard Twitter was going to start doing that ( requiring an account to view tweets).
This one basically just had a link to this :

Weird, because I CAN see it.

I had an account for YEARS to follow trials but did not Tweet. Then $!@*?# Musk tagged me as a bot and locked me out of my account. I assumed it was deleted? and I would no longer see them either. Huh.

Hope the podcast and book do help AC and RC process the tragedy and move toward healing some of their grief.

I see that episode 2 dropped yesterday. Looking forward to listening.
