One of the documents Justin Lum has on his Twitter shows that Chad and Lori refer to Brandon as one of the "Gadiantons", an ancient criminal organization in the Book of Mormon. I wonder if this is the basis of the statement Melani's attorneys made when they publicly claimed "Brandon Boudreaux's family is involved in organized crime" in that press release that cost their insurance company $12M?

They were referring to BB's past lives. According to them BB was also a part of Hitler's entourage at some point. Of course they didn't put those claims in court documents. They meant the modern day mafia.

To add- Garrett Smith was also the one who testified in the motion to disqualify Rob Wood due to prosecutorial misconduct. He was the one who recorded the meeting with RW & Summer Shiftlet and later went to MM with that recording.

Oh, and besides the $12 million that was paid out, the bar has put him on 6 month probation for another issue.

Per GPD’s interview w/ Melani’s dad Steve Cope, Melani wanted to divorce Brandon after getting a revelation he was gay. Cope said she started speaking about light & dark spirits in spring 2019. When Cope asked her who shot at BB, report says Melani suggested BB shot at himself.

At about 2:15 in the video Brandon says "It had to be 2 people" and then the officer says something while Brandon is still talking. I listened a few times and I believe he says "It had to be 2 people I think because they left so quick."

I think this also is evidence that Alex is not a great shot, at least when shooting at people. From Brandon's description the Jeep was next to his driveway so the back of the Jeep would have been only a few feet away from his car. This doesn't fit with my memory of the shooting, I thought the Jeep was across the street. DI_Isokawa did a very good analysis of the shooting months back, I'll look for that.

Also...if you are going to spend 30 hours in a car on a mission to kill someone wouldn't you take a second shot?

Maybe Zulema knew to much as time went on, maybe she talked freely without thinking and revealed bits of info without realizing it (?) which they heard, or maybe the did not want to find another spouse for her once Alex was gone? My recollection matches that, the Jeep was across the street. I read conjecture that there were 2 people in the Jeep. I missed it if there was more than conjecture.

Watching the body cam video both the first officer on scene and Brandon point to a spot directly next to his driveway and say the Jeep was there. The officer says it and points it out with hand gestures at about 2:05 to to 2:10 in the video. Brandon then walks to that spot a few feet from his driveway, on the same side of the street, and says "they were parked right here" at about 2:18 into the video.

I shared the thought Melani might be the driver but I don't believe that now. According to the recent Gilbert Police documents, at 7:15 am Brandon left the house with 4 kids. At 7:19 am Alex arrives at Brandon's house in the Jeep (would Alex have shot Brandon in front of his kids if he had arrived 5 minutes earlier??). Brandon drops off the 3 older kids at school and then both he and Melani claim he dropped off the youngest child at her house. I don't know where or when that is but if both Melani and Brandon were there after he took the other kids to school there is no way Melani is in the Jeep at Brandon's house that arrived there at 7:19 am.

Which leads to the question - who was the 2nd person in the Jeep? Chad and Lori are in Rexburg. Melani is with the youngest child. Her statement to the police "I don't know what I did or where I was all day" when interviewed the next day is more than suspicious, she is deep into what happened. But based on timing the Gilbert PD laid out she can't be in that Jeep. Who in the Gilbert AZ area agrees to be the get away driver for a murder that only benefits a cult in Idaho?

Brandon sued Melani's lawyers Robert Jarvis and Garret Smith for a bizarre press release they made Feb 26, 2020 claiming, among other things, Brandon is gay, addicted to , abuses drugs, has a personal and family history of violence,... It was a doozy.

The same lawyers are representing Zulema now, and have been hired by Lori's sister and possibly others involved.

I'm sure you've nailed it now, as Eric and Nate on Dateline call the Gadiantons "Mormon organized crime" or "Mormon mafia" (can't recall which).

Previously that assertion of Melani's appeared so super-random, and I feel pretty sure she didn't tell her attorneys that "the organized crime entity" were Book of Mormon bogeymen that nobody alive on earth today has ever seen when she had them draft her complaint/press release, lol; but other than that, it makes perfect sense in this context.

This awful exchange in the Justin Lum documents just released (thank you Gardenista and the others with the new links!):

October 29, 2019 Zulema says "He looks way too happy" after Alex sends her a picture of Chad and Lori. Alex texts Zulema back a few minutes later "He escaped the warden so it's all downhill from here"

This is 9 days after Tammy died. They thought they got away with all of it? Or was Tammy "the warden"?

Tammy is "the warden" due to context; I'm positive of this.

Sickening people; and no doubt that Zulema will have a hard time continuing to deny that she knew Tylee was dead or that Alex caused her death, based upon these texts.

Let's hope that LE/the FBI has more.
