Police searching for Rexburg children believed to be in serious danger | East Idaho News

I believe this is going to be a more complicated case than it looks on the surface. The children's mother (Lori Wallows) recently married a man (Chad Daybell) a few weeks after his wife died. It was presumed the late wife had died of natural causes but was exhumed recently and her death is now being investigated.
The new wife's husband was shot in a family argument earlier this year:

The husband and wife are not cooperating with police and have since vanished.

OFF TOPIC BUT IMPORTANT

There seems to be some confusion and concerns being expressed about Timeline posts not being linked in the Opening Posts.

Mods, Admins, Coordinators ... we've all had discussion about this over the last year and we just don't know why or when members started requesting WS staff to make all these additions and changes to the Opening Posts of new threads. We are a very limited staff and this is something members have historically done on their own that doesn't create any extra work for WS staff.

It is a very simple system that was set up years ago and has worked well in the past. We don't need to duplicate effort or reinvent the wheel here.

In each forum, i.e. "Located Persons Discussion", members will see at the top of the page, a sub forum called for example "Located Timeline and Media Links"

As you can see, any member can start an appropriately titled new timeline thread within such a forum and make or copy their Timeline posts and all subsequent revisions or updates into that thread. It can be titled something like Vallow & Daybell Media, Maps & Timeline (or just Vallow & Daybell Timeline thread if they want to keep it separate and apart from Media and Maps). If the thread gets titled Media, Maps and Timelines, all members have to do is use the search feature within that thread for the word Timeline. That's what these features are for.

When a member has created the Timeline thread, WS staff link it ONCE in the Opening Post and it never has to be changed again, regardless of whether it's 1 or 100 new discussion threads for any given case.

If there is any question about the above, please contact any Mod or Admin and we'll be glad to clarify.

If nobody else is going to do it for this case, when one of us gets time (not sure when that will be), we will set up the timeline thread for you in this case and copy all of Gardener1850's timeline posts into it. We will update the link in the Opening Post and it will never have to change after that.

Has anyone seen the new motion just filed by Mark Means for the motion/subpoena that Melanie Gibbs refused to except this past summer? This is almost identical to but not the same as the one he filed this past summer. He tries to serve MG on court house steps. Several your Tubers have commented on the NeW motion and it has been mentioned also on another social media sites. However I have not seen a copy of it.

According to SR, MM ‘remarks’ that MG has had more the enough time to reply to his subpoena from the summer and again wants all her and others phone records, contacts etc with many different people including the LE. He demands she pay certain restitution. It repeats the same motion he filed in the summer that the Judge denied. Not much change to the filing.

SR pointed out how JA is not on the list of recipients to have gotten this motion. That JA is not listed anywhere at all, like he does not exit. MOO is MM does not accept the fact JA is on the case and probably is lead attorney and definitely Is a co counsel. MM totally ignores JA, IMOO.

Also, SR said there probably should have NoT been a filing agsin since everything concerning LV is on hold and the Judge already denied it ….but IMOO MM thinks he can created his own rules.

if anyone actually sees a copy of this motion, filed from what I have listened too several times, please can you link? I thought East Idaho News reported commented on it on T social site but I cannot find it, but then I don’t T at all, read only if sent there.

He made that comment when the charge was concealing evidence, not yet murder. Still, you’re right: that was pretty clueless.

I think the prior point he had in mind when he made it, was convincing the head of AVOW that such a lying faradiddle was indeed the case. "It's a custody dispute..." IMO, he picked what was most likely to resonate with his audience. "Persecuted for their faith by the narrowminded normies!"

Originally the people of AVOW were even wondering if Kay thought the church was a/"the cult" referenced as such in the decrying of Chad and Lori's beliefs; because certainly there wasn't anyone out there (yet!) saying "Um, Charles converted for Lori years ago and it was no secret to Kay; so even if Kay didn't agree with its theology, I doubt she would call the actual church a cult."

edited to add…..I understand JP feels he should have been notified too, but that’s where this issue of trying the case together but then staying LV case but letting CD go forward…just what should be shared and not shared. Even MM does not share with his Cox counsel nor with Prior. moo

what LV released to the LDS attorney, can help or hurt her husband CD…so CD may be shaking in his boots too.

it may be time to make that decision by the Judge, separate the two or declare LV competent and go forward with one trial. Moo

JP is really shooting for the moon in my opinion without really knowing what transpired. JB needs to get a handle on this.

The first one is interesting in regards to JB making a ruling prior. He did state that he could assume the costs but it would be speculation. I think the state will be granted the opportunity to present arguments.

On a separate note, I'm curious as to why the 2nd filing is dated 9-8-21 yet was just filed 11-4?

Lastly, I personally like how large of an objection JP has with the sealings and limiting the public.

Has Tammy Daybell’s cause/manner of death been released yet? I know it’s been ruled homicide, but how did it happen? If not, any idea when we will hear about it?
Also, regarding AC’s ex-wife police interview, she mentioned Ac’s grudge against Joe Ryan. Has there been any action taken by LE to look into his death? Thanks in advance.

In regards to TD, it has not been released. The Daybell children state they were told she died from asphyxiation. However, nothing has been officially released, including to them to my knowledge
