other site i'm reading on this case, says Alex's new wife, is an "emotion code" therapist and healer.

Maybe the police were casing the place first. Grandmother probably expressed concern. Maybe they wanted to be sure that it was safe to approach the residence.

On a strange aside, I was talking to a woman today. She said the police came to her door because her neighbor had applied for a job and did not provide references. So, they literally went looking for references.

Yes you are right im not sure why I was so sure it was a week before. Like you said Im so confused too :) thank goodness for the timeline.
The "week before" is new information as of tonight. Missing Idaho children’s mom fled the night before FBI raided home, neighbor says Seth said Lori kept to herself. One day, a police officer showed up on Seth's doorstep, asking about Lori and her children. He said about a week later, two nights before Thanksgiving, he saw Lori and her brother packing up a truck. He figured they were going somewhere for the holiday.

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, on or around November 19, 2019, a police officer knocks on Seth's (Lori's neighbor at the time) door and asks him questions concerning Lori and her children. Then, about a week later, on November 26, Lori and Alex pack up and leave town. Am I reading that right?

If so then that begs other questions:

1. According to official reports the welfare check was conducted on November 26, and that's when police first started investigating a possible missing persons case. So what were the police checking up on the week prior? Was it possibly related to Arizona cases?
2. He says Lori and Alex were packing a truck up together. Presumably they both left/fled together in the truck? What kind of truck? And where was Chad during this time? Did he leave/flee separately and/or in a different vehicle?

Yes, but the neighbor doesn't mention Alex by name, just Lori and "her brother."

Wait!!! I don’t remember hearing Alex also moved and had an apt in Lori’s complex. I thought he was still in AZ. When did he move? Was he in Idaho when the masked paintball guy approached Tammy? The last day JJ was seen? The day that Tammy died?

The thing that scares me is where did C.V’s life insurance go to? Its been said (i cannot confirm) it was not to Lori. In that case would some of it be to his step daughter and adopted son? If so and they could not claim would it be given to their nearest relative?? Their Mother perhaps?
MOO as always.
I wanted to know the exact same thing.

It's a long shot, but I hope that Lori didn't ask Tylee to sign over any money to her from the insurance, assuming she may have been one of the beneficiaries?

That sounds more like your neighbor applied for a security clearance. In that case the investigators (DSS) will go talk to the neighbors.

Just to refresh everyone using @Gardener1850 timeline posted on the first page of this post. I had to go back to get some clarification on the initial welfare check etc.

26 Nov 2019 - Rexburg police attempt to conduct a welfare check on JJ, the adopted 7- year-old special needs son of Lori Vallow, at their residence at 565 Pioneer Road in Rexburg, ID. Welfare check was at the request of out of state family members who had not spoken to JJ since Sept. Chad and Lori were at the home and said JJ was staying with a family friend in Arizona. Investigators left but learned later that day that Joshua had not been staying with the friend.

27 Nov 2019 – Rexburg PD receives request to help AZ LE execute a search warrant at the townehome at 595 Pioneer Road in relation to the investigation into JJ’s welfare and location.

27 Nov 2019; 10:13 a.m - A phone related to their investigation is pinged at the general location "right now" when dispatched. However, when LE arrive Lori and Chad have abruptly vacated the home and left town; LE has reason to believe that they did not have JJ with them when they left Rexburg. Subsequently, the local LE contacts the FBI to ask for assistance in locating JJ: Rexburg Police Department

27 Nov 2019 (or sometime after) -- During the investigation into JJ’s disappearance, LE learns that Lori’s 17 year old daughter Tylee Ryan was living with Lori in Rexburg but she also has not been seen since Sept 2019. receives request to help AZ LE execute a search warrant at the townehome at 595 Pioneer Road in relation to the investigation into JJ’s welfare and location.
We need this timeline pinned at the top of each page to keep us who are trying to follow along sane.
@Gardener1850 You have done an amazing job!

Las Vegas is about a 10 hour drive or so from Rexburg. Is it possible 6 people drove out of Rexburg the night of the 26th and went to Vegas? They may or may not have split up after the weddings? Jmo

This is what I thought too, but it has been reported that the autopsy was done in Boise. Not sure which is correct.
"With Chad Daybell’s quick remarriage, the two missing children and Tammy’s sudden unexpected death, motivated Humphries to have Tammy’s body exhumed. Her body was sent to Boise for an autopsy last month, and those results are expected back later this month."
Police issue search warrant at Chad Daybell's home
I have never heard of a body being exhumed in one state and sent 400 miles to another state for an autopsy. Considering that Tammy was re interred the following day that would be rather tight on time. I suppose it is possible but I would think that with the proximity of Provo or Salt Lake City to Springville that the autopsy would be conducted there.

He moved at the same time Tammy did, assuming brother=Alex. So, yup. yup. yup. yup. What could you possibly be suggesting? ;)

I had the same thought. But since the death investigation is being conducted in Idaho they may have wanted the Idaho state ME or whatever to do the autopsy. I'm sure they had their reasons.

I think that was the initial welfare check. Then they told the police the false story about him being with friends in Arizona. When they found out it was false is when they came back. I could be wrong though.
"He said he helped her move in a few weeks before school started in September."

This almost surely means before school started at BYU-I, especially since the school year for JJ would have started on 8/7 according to the school district calendar I posted earlier. School at BYU-I started on 9/16, so it sounds like he's saying the end of August or first part of September if it was "a few weeks before."

So is Lori's brother here Alex? That would explain him having Tylee's car in AZ trying to shoot BB, if in fact that's what happened. (I'm confused now as to what is and isn't thought to have happened there now.)
I have always thought that the location of Tylee's Jeep may be a key in trying to figure out what may have happened to her (and possibly JJ). If Tylee's Jeep was involved in the attempted murder of BB in AZ on 10/2 (and apparently authorities have the Jeep), how did it get there?

If Tylee traveled with Lori and JJ in August when they moved from AZ up to Rexburg, did Tylee leave the Jeep with Alex (and ride with Lori and JJ), or did Tylee drive the Jeep herself to Rexburg? I think most 17 yr olds, if moving permanently, would want to bring their car/Jeep with them.

IF Tylee took the Jeep to Rexburg, then how did it get back to AZ before 10/2? IF Tylee was seen by Seth in Rexburg, and IF the Jeep was in AZ on 10/2, then sometime between 9/23 and 10/2 somebody drove the Jeep back down to AZ. Was that person Tylee (possibly with JJ as a passenger)? Was that person Lori (possibly with Tylee as passenger - or with Tylee and JJ as passengers)?

It seems unlikely that the driver was Lori, but it could have been. Was Lori seen in Rexburg in late Sept? Was she even seen in Rexburg between late Sept through, say, early Nov., prior to her wedding to Chad?

If Tylee (with possibly JJ) - or Lori (with possibly Tylee and JJ) - drove the Jeep back to Alex's house in AZ (with maybe Tylee and JJ believing that at least one reason for the trip was to drop JJ at either a friend's house or at his grandparents?), it possibly means that whatever may have happened to Tylee and JJ possibly happened in AZ, and more specifically, happened near Alex's.

IF something lke this occurred, and (for argument's sake, let's say Lori returned by herself to Rexburg), did Alex possibly drive her back up (in October, or at least sometime before the Jeep was confiscated)? Did Lori possibly fly back up?

Seems LE could check for possible video evidence of the possible trip (s), Jeep GPS, flight reservations/passenger lists, etc., to try to determine just how the Jeep ended up (or never left) AZ. Just saying that maybe Rexburg isn't the only place to be searching for the kids

@Gardener1850 is very busy this weekend and has assured us she will update the timeline on Sunday evening. I think it's awesome that you are updating the lastest news for her- make sure the links are included to make it easier for her. Thanks for doing this!

I hope she is enjoying her time off. This lady works non-stop on many cases, to which I know we're all grateful to her for her hard work and dedication.

OK..I literally gasp ! We have Alex in Az taking shots at BB and unknown masked person taking shots at Tammy in Idaho...Now we have brother =Alex in both states.

POLICE LOG: Man upset over videogames, again - BYU-I Scroll
This was published on December 12, 2019
Arizona agency assist

“Police were asked to check a local address for an individual a police department in Arizona wanted to get in touch with. Police checked the address given and found out the individual did not live there anymore and had moved from there back in July.”

This is written poorly and its a long shot, but I am wondering if this is referring to Alex. The "moved from there back in July" doesn't make sense to me, but I'm trying to find concrete evidence Alex Cox was in Rexburg this fall.

Sadly, Arizona has laws regarding inheritance and I think similar rules apply to life insurance. The spouse, and Lori still was, legally, has to get a large fraction, something like half of the estate. Children are entitled as well. I used to live in AZ and made an estate plan there. But I don't recall the details. Bottom line is that Lori would have gotten the lion's share and control of anything left to minor children.

No? Meaning the Daybell home searched yesterday is not in Salem Idaho?

meaning no that Salem is a city
Salem is a community... an area really.
There is a small townsite 3 miles north of Daybell home location

New article. Lori's brother moved to Idaho too? Which brother? Also, neighbor says he did see Tylee in Idaho (once).
"One day before Thanksgiving, neighbors said police and the FBI raided Lori's townhouse, as well as her brother's townhouse in the same complex."
Missing Idaho children’s mom fled the night before FBI raided home, neighbor says

For the purpose of editing the timeline I'm going to assume this brother was Alex*. I'm aware she has other siblings but Alex seems to be Lori's partner in crime (quite literally) and therefore it makes the most sense to me that Alex moved to Rexburg with Lori only months after shooting Charles. Also, my head may explode from information overload if we add another sibling of Lori's into the mix.:p

*If anyone sees it is a different sibling, please tag me with the source for the timeline. Thank you.
