I

I am not sure when Colby last talked to Tylee or Joshua either, but it doesn't appear that he talked to them recently?
1hr 6mins - GH Youtube with Family Member/Text exchange The family member relays that Colby heard from Tylee about Charles' killing.
I know of no other contact with Tylee after Charles' death.

The above is my post from the second thread. MOO I'm horrified by this thought.... Colby does not say he speaks with Tylee, I think someone texted him from Tylee's phone. Just like they sent him payments. Lori has Tylee's phone. No one seems to have seen Tylee for a very long time.. MOO Please someone correct me on this.
I shudder to ask, but has anyone searched death certificates for Tylee’s name?

I could be wrong but I had been under the impression the initial welfare check was for JJ, initiated by his natural grandmother, Charles Vallows sister. {so much geneology to keep up with} Id be curious as to when Tylee was actually mentioned? Maybe it was only after L.E confirmed which children were supposed to be in the home? Anyone have documentation on this?

I originally thought this as well but poster OSU clarified that if you click on About on Poshmark it says shes been a member since Jan. 2 2016

I’m on the Poshmark app but when I click on the “About” tab it shows Tylee R. a “Posher” since Jan 2016.

I haven't seen anything documented and law enforcement is being intentionally vague or really may not know of the last sighting of Tylee.

Why did a police officer show up to ask the neighbor about Lori and the kids a week before the welfare check?

This is a good question!

"Seth said Lori kept to herself. One day, a police officer showed up on Seth's doorstep, asking about Lori and her children. He said about a week later, two nights before Thanksgiving, he saw Lori and her brother packing up a truck. He figured they were going somewhere for the holiday." [BBM]

Missing Idaho children’s mom fled the night before FBI raided home, neighbor says

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, on or around November 19, 2019, a police officer knocks on Seth's (Lori's neighbor at the time) door and asks him questions concerning Lori and her children. Then, about a week later, on November 26, Lori and Alex pack up and leave town. Am I reading that right?

If so then that begs other questions:

1. According to official reports the welfare check was conducted on November 26, and that's when police first started investigating a possible missing persons case. So what were the police checking up on the week prior? Was it possibly related to Arizona cases?
2. He says Lori and Alex were packing a truck up together. Presumably they both left/fled together in the truck? What kind of truck? And where was Chad during this time? Did he leave/flee separately and/or in a different vehicle?

The incident referred to, involving Lori's former husband

This incident - Alex hitting one of her previous husband's - actually involved a taser, not fists, and was a reaction to a molestation by said husband.

I think we may have heard it was a taser previously. But the rest of it, you know this how? Have you got a source (police reports we can access or mainstream media or ???) to show this?

Like politics, orientation, gun control, death penalty, Websleuths does not allow discussion of religion UNLESS it is germane to the case. In this case, it certainly appears related, and as long as members can tie their specific information to the case at hand, relevant but limited discussion is being allowed within the thread.

In the past, we've tried allowing dedicated threads for certain of those topics and they have been shut down because they become a moderating nightmare.
OK. Thank you for the explanation.

Another interesting tidbit from this article is that Alex came to Rexburg with Lori and had townhome in the same complex. He died on 12/12 in Phoenix. Raises more questions than answers.
Every day, something new comes up that raises more questions than answers. Answers haven't been forthcoming. I can't imagine how stressed out the family of these children are, not knowing if they're alive and well or God knows where.

All these deaths are no coincidence and just the act of pure evil.

Tylee was only seen once in September. JJ was at least seen after, playing with Seth's children, so we know he was around at least until Sept. 23.

Just how long do Lori and Chad plan on being on the run? Do they think that the end of the world is going to save them from facing the music for what they've done? Good people don't go into hiding and refuse to show LE that their children are safe and sound.

This fits. Seth says they loading a truck two days before Thanksgiving and were gone the next day when the police served the warrant. That's 11/26 and 11/27. Thanksgiving was 11/28.

"One day, a police officer showed up on Seth's doorstep, asking about Lori and her children. He said about a week later, two nights before Thanksgiving, he saw Lori and her brother packing up a truck. He figured they were going somewhere for the holiday."

"Next morning — Boom. They're gone," Seth said. That's when police and the FBI came crashing in."

I think that was the initial welfare check. Then they told the police the false story about him being with friends in Arizona. When they found out it was false is when they came back. I could be wrong though.

I thought the welfare check happened one day, and the very next day when LE came back, Lori and Chad were gone.

The neighbor mentions about a week before, a police officer came by to talk to him about Lori and the kids.

I'm so confused. Maybe I need more coffee.

Just to refresh everyone using @Gardener1850 timeline posted on the first page of this post. I had to go back to get some clarification on the initial welfare check etc.

26 Nov 2019 - Rexburg police attempt to conduct a welfare check on JJ, the adopted 7- year-old special needs son of Lori Vallow, at their residence at 565 Pioneer Road in Rexburg, ID. Welfare check was at the request of out of state family members who had not spoken to JJ since Sept. Chad and Lori were at the home and said JJ was staying with a family friend in Arizona. Investigators left but learned later that day that Joshua had not been staying with the friend.

27 Nov 2019 – Rexburg PD receives request to help AZ LE execute a search warrant at the townehome at 595 Pioneer Road in relation to the investigation into JJ’s welfare and location.

27 Nov 2019; 10:13 a.m - A phone related to their investigation is pinged at the general location "right now" when dispatched. However, when LE arrive Lori and Chad have abruptly vacated the home and left town; LE has reason to believe that they did not have JJ with them when they left Rexburg. Subsequently, the local LE contacts the FBI to ask for assistance in locating JJ: Rexburg Police Department

27 Nov 2019 (or sometime after) -- During the investigation into JJ’s disappearance, LE learns that Lori’s 17 year old daughter Tylee Ryan was living with Lori in Rexburg but she also has not been seen since Sept 2019. receives request to help AZ LE execute a search warrant at the townehome at 595 Pioneer Road in relation to the investigation into JJ’s welfare and location.

Maybe Lori's brother, or the "friend" = Chad

I'm assuming, since the article was published today, that the neighbor would have been able to identify Chad if that were indeed him. Instead he identifies them as a friend and brother. MOO

Wait... Seth (Neighbor) saw Alex and Lori packing up the truck? When did Lori and Chad get back from Hawaii and did Chad move into Lori's house? or did Lori move in with Chad? Could the neigbor have mistaken Melani for Lori or Alex for Chad? Maybe Chad was the friend? Sorry if this confuses everyone. I'm just trying to figure out if the neighbor actually knows who is who in this story, just like the rest of us. MOO

This has probably already been addressed but here goes. Chad and Tammy lived in Salem, in Fremont County. Tammy was buried in Springville, Utah. Tammy was exhumed and an autopsy was conducted by a medical examiner in Utah.
BBM
This is what I thought too, but it has been reported that the autopsy was done in Boise. Not sure which is correct.
"With Chad Daybell’s quick remarriage, the two missing children and Tammy’s sudden unexpected death, motivated Humphries to have Tammy’s body exhumed. Her body was sent to Boise for an autopsy last month, and those results are expected back later this month."
Police issue search warrant at Chad Daybell's home

Those are two separate events. On November 26th law enforcement came and talked with both Chad and Lori asking about the whereabouts of JJ. The next day, November 27th law enforcement executed a search warrant on the apartment and Chad and Lori were already gone. The event from the week before could be just the police trying to make contact and they were unable to so they came back another day (11/26). I don't think we will know what the earlier visit by law enforcement was about unless law enforcement shares that.
